How did they recognise his supporters among the voters? Are his supporters wearing aso-ebi today making it easy to identify them from the crowd? If the rerun were to be in Ede and he’s making this sort of allegation, you’d say it makes a bit of sense knowing most of Ede support him. But the elections are in Ife, Osogbo, Orolu. How did they specifically identify those who will vote for him? Did he already compile a list?

Politics / Osun Rerun: Drama At Polling Units As Voters Defy Heavy Rainfall by Kswiss001(m): 10:34am On Sep 27, 2018
There was mild drama at Polling Unit 17, Ward 5, Adewale Street, Alekuwodo, Osogbo, when voters that came out to participate in the Osun State governorship rerun election refused to quit the queue in spite of a heavy downpour.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the election process started at 8 a.m. on Thursday but at around 9:12 a.m., there was heavy downpour which halted the process.

The sudden rainfall had everybody running for cover but voters already on the voting queue, who initially ran for cover, quickly returned when they noticed that others who refused to take cover had moved forward to replace them.

By the time the rain subsided, all the voters on the queue were already drenched.

The voting, however, continued at 9:30 a.m. when everyone (INEC staff, security, media men and others) had returned to their posts.
Earlier, some middle-aged men and an elderly woman who came with Permanent Voter Cards from another unit, had attempted to cast their votes but were disallowed by vigilant security and party agents.

Ademola Adeleke Did not Beg Omisore -Campaign Organisation

Our attention has been drawn to a fake picture of Senator Ademola Adeleke begging Senator Iyiola Omisore .We affirm that the picture is fake and doctored .

Senator Adeleke is busy with preparation for tommorow's poll.He is reaching out to leaders and voters across affected polling units. It is therefore false to claim the Governor-elect is begging around.

Our position is that Senator Adeleke won last Saturday poll with God and people and he will win finally tommorow with God and people.

We urge voters to troop out enmasse and re-confirm their support for Senator Adeleke as the Governor-elect.

Business / Incessant LAUTECH Strike Turns Student To Soap Manufacturer by Kswiss001(m): 7:26pm On Aug 17, 2017
The protracted strike at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, which invariably paralysed every academic activity on the campus since May 6, has turned a 300-level Mechanical Engineering student of the University, Olutoba Olayiwola to a manufacturer of soap.

Olayiwola, whom our reporter came across on Thursday in the Osogbo metropolis said the frustration and danger inherent in staying idle at home for months promptedhim to think outside the boxand went into manufacturing of dish washing soap.

According to him, the first phase of the strike, which spanned a period of 9 months from June 13, 2016till February 20, 2017 compelled him to start a thorough research for the technique of soap-making.

“I have learnt through my experience of life that learning does not end up in classroom, one must learn squarely, this is the mindsetthat propelled me to learn the science of soap-makingwhen academic activities came to a halt on our campus due to incessant strike.

“You know, I believe government and other stakeholders in the education sector do not know the serious danger embedded in idleness, especially for energetic youths like us, it exposes and pushes young people to all sorts of social vices, itis simply catastrophic.

“It is against this backdrop that I devised means of making good use of my precious time, and prepare my self for a better future, I believe my life must not be blindly tied to a frustrating system.

“The 9-month of stay-at-home order by our lecturers, between June 2016 and February 2017 afforded me the opportunity to embark on comprehensive research to acquire a distinct knowledge of soap-making at a research firm in Ibadan.

“Upon resumption in February this year, after spending 9 months at home, and with satisfactory knowledge of soap-making,I stumbled on a motivational book, titled” Rich Dad, Poor Dad, written by Robert T. Kiyosaki.

“Obviously, reading this book marked a turning point in my life, it ignited a profound zeal of entrepreneurship in me, which I transformed into reality during the on-going phase of strike that kick started on May 6”, Olayiwola stressed.

He described his product as distinctly creative, with addition of new adhesive like Aloe-vera.

“My product, which I called “Full Moon” is specifically conceptualised to give different feelings to dish washing soap,as it comes with Aloe-vera.

Olayiwola, however called on government to help and encourage indigenous manufacturing firms to grow, in order to strengthen the real sector of Nigerian economy, as he enjoined youths to be creative.
