There is what we call competitive advantage in every business, let Uber charges 100naira from ojodu to lekki, as long as there are few drivers available there waiting time will be unbearable.
Taxify has already won the battle now and drivers are all smiling today.
Taxify has used this avenue to sell their product and riders are getting the awareness.
Let this Uber rep to just swallow his pride and walk out of this thread. |

Hmm sometimes I read news and laugh.
Amosun is not a good leader and I must tell the truth, he has ego problem.
What really happened was that CBN bullion van wanted to overtake him on the express opposite Prayer city, he instructed his team not to allow then he came down, he started ranting which he eventually instructed his mobile police men to fire shots at the tires of CBN bullion van.
Mind you, this is not his first time.
A sane person will know this is a CBN bullion van convoy, as a reasonable man he's suppose to keep moving or allow them pass but not to be little himself as a governor to order his team to shoot at the tires.
Meanwhile, it's just the office he holds that made such to happen cos CBN also have over 20 mobile police men with them.
Amosun, your cup will full one day. |

Pls pass it across to Uber, their days are numbered In Nigeria Just leave the boy alone, he's just on his own path to failure, Uber has failed in just one week and this little boy is crying for help. @Romeo3 is a pure nitwit, i don't need you to quote me cos you are yet to get a car on either Uber or Taxify, so pls work hard to get a life out of failure. People like you are not worth doing business with cos you will only be selfish. Am very sure you will now be online on Taxify. Continue with your stubborn Uber oh, we don't care again. Car Talk › Woman Kills Eight In Lagos With LandCruiser by kudsweet(op): 8:29am On Feb 02, 2016 |
Tragedy struck on Ilaje Road, in the Bariga area of Lagos State, after a female motorist in a LandCruiser Sport Utility Vehicle crushed eight pedestrians to death. It was gathered that among the dead were a pregnant woman, two siblings, an old woman and a man returning from his place of work.
Several others were also said to have sustained varying degrees of injuries, including fractures and broken limbs in the Saturday incident which happened around 9pm.
Punch correspondents gathered that the driver of the yet-to-be-identified woman had left the vehicle for her near Majok Filling Station on Ilaje Road and had left for his house. The woman, said to be staying on Adebisi Street, had barely taken the wheels to drive the SUV home when the incident occurred.
The vehicle reportedly surged forward, crushing pedestrians and killing four of them on the spot.
A set of nine injured people were reportedly taken to the Gbagada General Hospital, among whom two died; while another set of seven casualties were later recovered.
It was learnt that two more corpses were found in the gutter on Sunday morning. Angry youths were said to have gone to the scene and dragged the woman out of the SUV and beaten her up.
She was about to be lynched when some policemen from the Bariga Police Division intervened.
Punch Metro learnt that the suspect was to celebrate her birthday on Sunday and was going home to make preparations for the event before the incident.
When Punch correspondents visited the area on Monday, about 20 okada riders (motorcyclists) besieged the police station to demand the corpses of two of the people who were killed in the accident.
A resident, identified as Iya Oyinbo, said the vehicle seemed to have had a brake failure.
She said, “The woman was driven to the Majok Filling Station by her driver after which the man left for his house and the woman moved to the driver’s seat to drive the vehicle home. What we saw was that the SUV suddenly surged forward and hit a pedestrian at the filling station.
“The vehicle also moved from there to hit some pedestrians by the roadside. It was three stationary faulty cars at the end of the Ilaje Road which eventually stopped the SUV.
“Four persons were crushed and they died instantly, including a woman, who was pregnant, and was taken inside a Keke Napep. On Sunday, two other hospitalised victims died.”
Another witness, Raheem Banji, said the corpses of two motorcyclists were found the following morning in the gutter where the SUV had flung them.
He said, “There were two okada riders who fell inside a gutter on that day. It was on Sunday that we found them. After the accident, youths gathered and began to beat up the woman for being careless. The mob wanted to destroy the car, but for the arrival of the policemen who saved her.”
A Keke Marwa driver, Laide Olakune, said he was lucky to have escaped, adding that his tricycle was badly damaged by the vehicle.
Olakunle said he was taking four passengers to the Ebute area, when the tricycle was hit and they all fell into the gutter.
“Although my tricycle was damaged, neither me nor any of my passengers sustained injuries. The police wanted to take away my tricycle as part of evidence, but I refused because I need to repair it and put it back on the road so I can make a living,” he said.
A police source said the female driver, who was rescued with injuries, was recuperating in a private hospital in the area.
He said, “The woman is wealthy, and she was to celebrate her birthday on Sunday. The mob stripped her to the underwear and beat her up. She is recuperating in a hospital; her husband has showed up at the police station.
“There was no pregnant woman in the incident. The victim had Fibroid, and looked as if she was pregnant. The police will invite the driver after her treatment.”
The spokesperson for the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Mahmud Hassan, said he was not aware of the incident.
He said, “The LASTMA officers on the ground said they did not see anything like that.”
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the incident, adding that the matter was under investigation.
She said, “I am aware of the tragic incident. Three people died on the spot, while four others were in critical condition as of Sunday. We are investigating the case.” http://www.punchng.com/female-driver-crushes-eight-to-death-in-lagos/ |

Politics › Extract Of The Title Deed Of Mr. Bukola Saraki’s N4 Billion Mansion In London! by kudsweet(op): 8:08am On Sep 01, 2015 |
Breaking News! – CUPS has obtained extract of the Title Deed of Mr. Bukola Saraki’s N4 billion Mansion in London! Download the file here! The CUPS organisation started publishing damning reports about the financial crimes of the so-called Senate President, Mr. Bukola Saraki, on 6/8/2015. Our reports covered his criminality since his days as a director at Societe Generale Bank (Nigeria) PLC between 1990 and 2000. Our research shows that by the time that Mr. Saraki resigned his position at the bank, it was saddled with a debt worth N37 billion. Meanwhile a whopping N17 billion was withdrawn from the bank’s accounts and could not be accounted for. The sudden collapse of Societe General Bank (Nigeria) PLC brought misery and destitution to hundreds of thousands of customers, most of whom lost their business capital, entire life savings, or both. Meanwhile due to manifest corruption by the previous regimes, Bukola Saraki was never tried for the financial crimes he committed at Societe General Bank (Nigeria) PLC. Our research shows that Bukola Saraki owns dozens of properties in the UK and in Nigeria, worth billions. During our investigation, we focused on a 6 bedroom mansion he bought just shortly after he resigned his position at Societe General Bank (Nigeria) PLC. On 29/11/2001 he bought the mansion at 70 Bourne Street, London SW1W 8JW, for £4,250,000. This property is now worth £13,565,000 (N4,069,500,000), according to UK Estate Agents, Zoopla. CUPS managed to obtain an extract of the title deed of this property from the UK Land Registry, Croydon Office. For the first time ever, the extract is being released to public domain. It proves the following important points, and can be downloaded here: Bukola Saraki London Mansion1. There is indeed a 6 bedroom mansion based at 70 Bourne Street, London SW1W 8JW. 2. The Title number for the mansion is NGL805616. 3. This mansion was purchased on 29/11/2001. 4. The purchasing price for the mansion was £4,250,000. 5. No debt, mortgage, or any form of loan is associated with the current ownership of the mansion. 6. Mr. Bukol Saraki is the SOLE owner of the mansion. Put aside his financial crimes as two times governor of Kwara state, the financial scandal at Societe Generale Bank (Nigeria) PLC in association with the purchase of this mansion alone is enough to disqualify Mr. Bukola Saraki from being a Senate President, let alone being the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It is an open secret that this Mafia kingpin harbours a dangerous ambition of being Nigeria’s next head of state, by whatever means necessary. He should be serving his time in jail instead. Another pertinent question that only Mr. Bukola Saraki himself can adequately answer; has he declared these multi-billion Naira assets that he owns in the UK with the Code of Conduct Bureau? We very much doubt that. This again is a criminal offence, and it automatically disqualifies him as being a Senator or Senate President. Nigerians need patriotic leaders with clear vision and mission, who have the capacity to rebuild the country and make her attain her full potential as one of the greatest countries on the planet. For all intent and purpose, we don’t need manifestly corrupt and greedy criminal gangsters like Mr. Bukola Saraki and their ilk, in our polity. This man is morally bankrupt and spiritually dilapidated. The continued presence of Bukola Saraki at the Senate is a security risk to the Nigerian state. This man became the Senate President under the most dubious of circumstances. He and his supporters used Mafia style tactics to pervert due process at the Senate before he became its President. This case is still pending in Court. We at CUPS believe that this clinically corrupt man will continue to abuse his position as Senate President to undermine the ongoing national crusade against corruption. The onus is therefore on all well meaning Nigerians to put hands on deck and see to it that he is removed from our Senate without delay. May God save Nigeria and Nigerians. Amen. Dr. Idris Ahmed. CUPS (Citizens United for Peace and Stability) 31/8/2015. Source |

Family › Every Parent Must Read This Piece by kudsweet(op): 7:50am On Jul 22, 2015*. Modified: 9:04am On Jul 23, 2015 |
EVERY PARENT MUST READ THIS PIECE I GOT FROM PRAISE FOWOWE'S WALL!!!!!!The first time I noticed my son's odd habit was when I carried him on my legs in church, I realized he would become quite uncomfortable when my hand was not resting on his crotch, not his thigh, but his crotch, at first I thought maybe he was in pain, and I initially got worried, bit I later noticed his hands where going between my legs, this was not an unconscious action, he knew exactly what he was doing, because I brushed his hand away and gave him a stern look, but moments later I noticed he was doing it again, so I had to drop him off my legs and made him sit on a chair by himself, and did I mention my son was just 4 years old?
When we got home, I brought it to the attention of my husband, and in his usual manner he tried to make light of it, and even chastised me for even thinking our own son would be trying to get fresh with me, maybe he just misses you, he obviously doesn't know what he is doing or where his hands where, my husband said, and after-all you are gone before he wakes up, and in bed before you return, so don't blame the boy for trying to get as much attention from you as he possibly can, he added, but I was not convinced, what if my son had been exposed to pornography or had started hanging out with bad kids, I mean it's never too early to start, especially in this day and age, it made me worry.
The next day I called his teacher on the phone and asked her to keep an eye on him, I told her I had noticed some changes in him and I didn't want the damage to be irreversible, my son's teacher assured me she would do her best to make sure he wasn't exposed to the wrong set of people, satisfied with her response I laid all my worries to rest.
A few weeks later I noticed some strange with my son, I had taken my annual vacation and decided to spend it with my husband and son, on this day I was giving him a bath, and he kept on saying it's mummy's turn to suck on the straw, at first I thought it was a nursery rhyme not until I saw him grab hold of his penis, and repeated the words he said earlier "it's mummy's turn to suck the straw", and while he held his penis, I noticed it was getting erect, now don't get me wrong, I have noticed his erection before, in these cases it usually meant he needed to wee-wee, or he was just waking up from a nap or something, in other words very involuntary actions, but this time I felt he was getting aroused, I was so embarrassed I stood up, brought him out of the bath and quickly wrapped him up in a towel, I did all this without looking at him.
I immediately told my husband, and this time I didn't take it lightly, he saw the seriousness in me and together we grilled our little boy, until he opened up and told us where he learnt the song.
Sometimes you see a lot of things reported on TV and in the papers, and you say to yourself, do these things really happen, or are they stories fabricated by the media to get the attention of the masses, or for print media and soft sell magazines to make a quick buck, and if at all they happen, who would be so blind as to allow it escalate to such an alarming point.
Well I was about to understand that these things actually happened, and it was happening to my little boy, the words I would never forget, after long minutes of question and some threats from my husband, he finally opened up, "aunty Tola said she likes to suck my straw and I should not let anyone suck it, and that I should always put my hands inside her pants because it makes her happy".
I collapsed on the floor, when I heard my son say those words, at first I didn't believe him, but I realized how on earth a four year old child, would come up with such a story, I stared at my husband, he stared back at me, we were both speechless, and our son stood between us, weeping, I instinctively pulled him close and hugged him tight, and silently blamed myself for not noticing earlier.
We stormed his school, and went straight to the principal's office, where we explained everything to him and even got our son to tell him exactly what he had told us, the principal was quite upset and summoned aunty Tola to his office immediately, she denied everything, blaming everything my son had said on him having a very active imagination, at this point my husband was hot with rage, and he began threatening to involve the police, and not until my husband actually brought out his phone and began dialing a number, aunty Tola fell on her knees begging and crying, and proceeded to blame the devil, we all stared at her in bewilderment, what on earth would possess a full grown woman to sexually abuse a four year old boy, a child put in your care, to protect and nurture, you turn around and hurt, we called the police and she was arrested, I quit my job, and became a full time mum, what would be my gain, if I had all the wealth and ended up with a disturbed and abused child.... This is a great lesson for parents, pls watch your children and make immediate moves as soon as you get to see any changes or funny acts in them. Above all, teach them in the way of the Lord so as to guide them in everything. cc: lalasticlala , ishilove |
