It is for today because of its significance in remembering those that list their lives during the civil war. This is actually noble and something people do the world over.

I tend to agree with you but the major challenge would be Igbos who have investments in other parts of the country. For instance, we have Igbos in Lagos, Abuja, Kano etc. Should they live all what they've worked for ? That's the main thing we should consider.
