So the dead pilots are armatures. The switch combinations for the fuel pumps are so complex that they did not get it for that journey but have been flying the same aircraft for long.
This initial rumour was released to test people's reactions. At least this is about the first air crash investigation that we would at least hear a rumour.
PoliticsRe: Only Ghana-style Of Cleansing Can Save Nigeria, Says Bakare by kuluTemper: 7:56am On Feb 04, 2013
WHAT EXACTLY IS YOUR POINT HERE?

Allow thieves to rape your wife and daughters because you are scared they may shoot them if you resist? Why do you have to suggest he send his "unruly son" to learn how to kill? Make a point and stop being sentimental!!

justmythought: Here we go again...I hope am not the only person observing this preacher of doom who doesn’t understand the grave implications of his utterances. Yes, some might hold my views are myopic, concurring the Nigerian situation needs to degenerate to rebuild--I think not.

With such irresponsible utterances coming from a respected MOG (daddy this, daddy that), It’s a shame to see what the minds of our leaders, albeit religious are like. The country is sitting on a time bomb like never before where an implosion is possible by the slightest spark. Our unemployed youths who are tirelessly trying to build industries out of nothing (entertainment, ICT, commerce and sadly, Fraud) are the ones you are inciting here without knowing it (All though you claim not to know how God will do it). It’s you generation, most of which have benefitted from the best Nigeria has offered in history (quality education, efficiently run institutions, scholarships and bursaries, career guidance and counselling, well funded foreign training, enabling environment, functioning institutions, relative peace and security, positive national image, etc.), yet you "SPOILT BRATS" have yet learnt to do what is right.

You made mention of so-called MOG's being sent to jail, I expected you to honourably seek asylum at the Kiri-Kiri resorts the Monday after your statements to lead by example, but then, you didn't.

You have prophesied elections would be held in 2014, for who? by who?. If you guys got the ticket in the last elections would you say same? I wonder. Would you have turned Nigeria around so miraculously? (Fasting and praying!) or may be changed our national mind set, Now Now? I doubt.

Going by your recipe for nation building, first, a country of vast oil resources as Nigeria going up in revolution would play to the hands of energy hungry nations who would ensure the case gets worse for their benefits and who suffers, yes, the masses. The loss of innocent lives, destruction of assets, economic stagnation and extensive image depletion which will follow certainly puts us in a situation we as Nigerians certainly don't need. Countries that have played host to the Arab spring are still suffering from the implications of local and continent-wide arms proliferation as well as infrastructure erosion to name a few (CIP: the Mali saga was fuelled or sustained at least, by arms from Algeria Militia groups--with an averted spill over effect into Nigeria, or so we hope).

Another Sir, some of these said bad guys have sufficient funds to sustain unrests not just between communities but states in Nigeria, this they would do to buy time while they attempt to re-strategise or run away, again who suffers? guessed right, the masses.

On the international scene, commodity prices would soar. If Nigerian oil fields "catch fire", the world is in trouble. yes who suffers? the poor masses world over.

Like never before in our history as a nation, our democratic institutions are getting stronger. Yes, they are. While opposition is gathering momentum and quickly too, Nigerians are beginning to understand the principles and functionality of democracy. The so called super powers have taken years of endless errors to be where they are today. Someday soon, we would take our place with minimal or leastways targeted loss of lives.

As for the yesterday's and today's Boys or, sorry men! we the tomorrow leaders are happy to take our fight to the polls in the coming election. It wouldn't be easy, yes we know, but certainly not business as usual.

You and those in your circle have Visas and available funds to get out when it all goes up in flames. You would all retreat to your existing and new homes abroad, only to watch CNN and Al-jazeera with pop-corn in hand.

I put it to you Sir, If you Mr Bakare so desire a Ghana style cleansing, you have a great option before you...You can send that your unruly son on a course to learn how to snipe or suicide bomb where he can do us all proud (in your view), or even you can learn to use long range sniper guns and take these "Destructively Wealthy leaders" out for us without broadcasting your plans.

In all Sir, with absolute and exclusive eroding respect, you either Do It Yourself or SHUT UP!

Yours in truth,
Comrade Audacious bin Nigeria.

PoliticsHow Much Is A Billion Naira? by kuluTemper(op): 8:38am On Dec 12, 2012
I kinda laugh whenever it is read over the news in Nigeria that xyz billions of Naira is missing or unaccounted for. I remember a six year old boy with fascination for numbers saying a billion is a thousand million. What is more hilarious is when our leaders talk about a project on TV and say something that goes  like "we have spent between 3.5 billion and 5.5 billion Naira so far". We take it as a reasonable estimate. A billion Naira is a thousand million!

Imagine you have a fantastic dream job in Nigeria that will pay you 2 million Naira per month. You will earn a cool 24 million Naira per annum. After 35 years of over enjoyment service, you have only spent and unspent 840 million Naira.most of us know that this kind of job is like one in a million in Nigeria. 2 million is about $12,000 at an exchange rate of  US$1 to 165 Naira, most people in the US know that you are very very comfortable if your earn that per month. I kinda think I don't know what a billion Naira is.

please kindly share your perception of a million Naira.

I once had a numerical discussion with a six year old who told has this fascination with numbers. He said, do you know that a billion is a thousand million.

I have a feeling that our leaders don't know that fact. The way billions of Naira gets missing in this county is very scarry.
PoliticsRe: Kidnappers Demand N200m Ransom For Okonjo-iweala’s Mother by kuluTemper: 7:39am On Dec 12, 2012
[sup][/sup] you need to understand the feelings and reactions on the people that are rejoicing. most people here are condemning the abominable act of kidnapping but they are only rejoicing to the fact that the people that could effect a change in the society but refused to do so under the illusion that they are immune to the societal ills, are now affected.

It is a rude awakening to reality for them. They go around in a bubble of protection with lots of police and soldiers but ordinary citizens are exposed. Let them have a feel what ordinary citizens experience daily. They are responsible for Steering this country to it's present state of despair. I don't mean Okonjo is solely responsible, but she is in their class.

Techwriter: Myopic people rejoice when their "enemies" are in trouble, those with foresight, know that if that so called enemy is in the same boat with you the storm that is wrecking him will soon get to you. While the issue of kidnapping further destroys Nigeria's already battered image, some people come here to rejoice that it is happening to a perceived enemy without looking at the big picture. You will know the extent of damage(DAmnediMAGE) when you want to travel out or when you wish to do genuine transaction with foreigners.

We must all collectively frown at evil irrespective of who it is happening to at the moment
CrimeRe: Nigerian Police Force: My Ordeal - By Femi Badejo by kuluTemper: 9:01pm On Dec 11, 2012
The Nigerian police simply lack the rule of engagement. Our leaders are concerned only with stock pilling cash. The whole country is in disarray. People constantly living beyond their means thereby increasing the propensity to steal. What is the solution? Did I hear somebody ask? We are tired of hearing our problems. There is no quick fix and neither is their a single dose solution. What can simply accelerate a positive change is for each and everyone of us to do what is right wherever we find ourselves and not to allow wrong doers to have their way. Speak out for what you believe. Evil thrives when good people do nothing when evil people are exhibiting their evil.

NASS Rues N1.414trn Road Allocation without Results

http://huhuonline.com/index.php/more-news1/457-nass-rues-n1-414trn-road-allocation-without-results

The National Assembly has appropriated about N1.414 trillion to the nation’s road sector since 1999, yet of the 34, 400 km of federal roads, only 12,040 have been paved and they are, in fact, replete with varying degrees of potholes.

Chairman of the Federal House of Representatives Committee on Works, Hon. Ogbuefi Ozomgbachi (PDP, Enugu) made the disclosure today in Abuja at the four-day public hearing on the urgent need to address the near total collapse of federal roads across the country, and A Bill For An Act To Provide For The Maintenance of Public Infrastructure, 2011 And for Other Matters connected therewith.

Minister of Works, Mike Onolememen said about N500bn will be needed annually in the next four years to fix the country’s ailing road infrastructures.

“Between 1999 and 2012, the National Assembly had appropriated about N1.414tr to the road sector. And yet out of about 34,400 km of federal road network, only about 35 percent (12, 040) is paved and substantial percentage of it is in varying degree of distress and is pothole-ridden,” Ozomgbachi said.

“In a country of about 160 million people with an approximate land area of 910,768 square kilometres in which over 90 per cent of the passengers and freight movement are done by road due to almost non-functional water-ways and rail transportation, the situation assumes even a status of national emergency.”

He disclosed that statistics from the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) for Accidents in the First Half of 2012 put the figure at 1,936 fatalities and substantial part of it attributable to the poor state of our roads.

In his presentation, the minister also revealed that the average budget of about N100bn for road development is grossly inadequate for the nation's 35,000 km of federal road network and for a country that budgets N300bn and N150bn for the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation respectively.

“What is needed is about N500bn yearly in the next four years to fix the country's ailing road infrastructure and bring it in sync with road infrastructure development in other thriving nations in the world,” he added.

We should not get overly exited with the phrase regime change or change in regime. Between january 1st and today we have experienced three regime changes;, in petroleum prices. I support his call for regime change. A regime change does not translate to a change in the presidency, it only translate to a change in how government business is conducted.

Regime change we asked for, regime change we demand for, regime change we stand for!

This is a clear display of barbarism by the federal government. Labour is been tactical as it is clear that it is 65 or nothing is the position of the masses. By saying no more stress protest is just sublimely retreating. gej is now in a rush to quash all protest by unleashing the uncultured army on the street. The question is, has the police failed to kill enough protesters? That you now want the military to now stand up against peaceful protesters.
This sake gej that doesn't have the will to go after his cabal can now deploy soldiers to foil carnivals that address this
