Hello everyone, I will be needing some help from y'all in setting up a home studio. The fact is that I know nothing really about music production, mixing or mastering. I'm just someone who one day grew up with the interest of music production since I don't have that singing voice. The interest really began when I got my new device Redmi note 8, there is this app about producing beats I was asked to download, the app is amazing I must confess and so far I've been producing some semi-weak beats with no professional touches Lol... So the thought of becoming a music producer like Sarz, masterkraft etc poped out....
I am a student right about now who works in supermarket and I've been saving lil some of money.
I searched the internet for some few things and I came to know the difference btw home studio and professional studio. I don't have that cash for a professional studio so I will start with home.

What I need from you guys is the relevant equipments and the prices. I have a Laptop to begin with.
I know of a DAW(digital audio workstation) but I don't know the price and which one is best for a starter.

There are procol to follow before calling off strike. Once the government does his part, the lecturers will deliberate among themselves and then vote to either call off or not.

When they started the Strike, did they delibrate on anything, was it not just one evening meeting and next tin, Strike is on....

Upon going through the numerous comments made by students in Twitter and nairaland, I can confidently say that Nigerian students exhibit low capacity for reasoning.

1. INEC does not need ASUU to conduct elections. It's participation is not enshrined in law. ASUU chosen by Atahiru Jega in 2010 because he identified them as a large body of educated individuals who could be relied upon to execute this national assignment with accountability.

2. If ASUU decides not to participate in the general elections ad-hoc staff with dubious credentials and partisan leanings will be employed instead and an opportunity will be created for electoral rigging. We can already see attempted by the government to influence the outcome of the 2019 elections. A rigged election will set Nigeria back 20 years

3. By participating in the elections ASUU can ensure that stipends accrue to it's members and the struggle for better conditions in our universities may be prolonged further.

Participating in the elections is the way to go.

Remember ASUU is still on strike,

Students wants to go back to school , no one is against them participating in the election, but they are still on strike..
Involving their self in the election and leaving students at home is Wickedness....

Remember, they still get their salaries, while the students house rents expires

The National Parent-Teacher Association of Nigeria (NAPTAN) has appealed to the Federal Government and the striking university lecturers to go with open minds to the negotiation table as they meet again on Monday.

The 2nd Deputy National President of NAPTAN, Chief Adeolu Ogunbanjo, made the appeal in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Saturday.

NAN reports that the striking lecturers, under the aegis of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) had embarked on a nationwide strike on Nov. 4, to press home their demands.

The lecturers are demanding for the implementation of agreements reached with the Federal Government, including the 2017 Memorandum of Action (MoA).

They are also demanding for an improved welfare package and better funding of the university system among other issues.

The striking lecturers had engaged the Federal Government on series of negotiations but all ended in deadlock.

According to Ogunbanjo, both the Federal Government and ASUU must seek a better way of reaching a common ground when they meet on Monday.

He said this was necessary in order to end the strike in the interest of the students and their parents.

“My appeal now is for both the ASUU and Federal Government to go to the negotiation table with open minds as they meet again on Monday.

“We are all bothered about this constant interruption of our academic calendar which is becoming a recurring decimal.

“We must come together like true patriots and find a lasting solution to this whole issue once and for all, if we are truly concerned about the future of our children and country.

“ASUU should please try and shift grounds concerning some of their demands for now.

“If government comes up with an offer of about three out of five of their demands for instance, they should please try and consider that and go back to the classrooms while they continue to dialogue for the implementation of the remaining others.

“Federal Government on the other hand must also learn to respect agreements, be more responsive and committed in tackling issues that concern education which remains the only driver of all other aspects of the economy,” Ogunbanjo said.
