Lexus SUVs sell well. Eg. The GX 470 is legendary and very costly.

Merscedes has this problematic SUV model called GL series. That car is always stopping on the highway for trivial issues no matter how new it is. I just assisted one driver last week. I think reliability should be the first point to consider when choosing a car.

Had the car thoroughly checked a week later. The mechanic insisted my brakepads was very okk and would last me for another 4 months. I wanted to insist he change them but he sounded very convincing.

Then he checked the brake system at the back wheel (pictured) and there lies the problem: What he described as the brake pot was leaking brake fluidl inside the back wheel and that was the cause of the intermittent shortage of brake fluid and the warning signal.

I had it changed for N3,000 (I dont know the price, I am suspecting my kazeem must have bought it cheaper but I let him be, more grateful that we were able to pin-point the issue).

Benz c-class is NEVER competing with Toyota corolla. It is competing directly with Toyota camry, Honda accord, BMW 3 series, Nissan Altima, Mazda 6 etc. Benz never competed in the small car segment until the introduction of A class and now they have B class as well. BMW similarly introduced 1 series to compete in the small car segment.

unless you want to buy a new golf or near new i advice u settle for a toyota. the golf is a good performer with very good stamina on the road and a very powerful engine, but it comes with many problems- i had to change my engine once and spent so much on the a/c and its still not working. the toyota may have a bland personality but it will surely take u where ever u want comfortably

I have a golf 4 and overall I think it's a nice car but am of the opinion that Golf 4 and newer models are not everyday cars considering the nature of our roads. They are excellent cars for traveling on long distance.

Yes by mk2 and 3 I meant golf 2 and 3, they are more rugged on our roads and the cost of maintenance isn't much due to the availability of spare parts although they might not have the best interior
