Ahhh, thanks for this. I will re-inform her to send it here. It is actually an Escrow account domiciled in canada in my name so I earlier sent the form to her to notarise there pending when I will recieve ITA. The SOA will be sent from there too as it is domicilled there.

similar case to mine. I got part of my POF overseas. just draft the gift deed letter, get her to sign her part and print. then u can notarize it here. You will print your bank SOA too, so they will confirm that your mom transferred it to you.

What of if the source of gift deep is ovrrseas. For instance, mine is about 90% of the POF and from my Mum who is a canadian resident. As it is, she is the one to notatise it in Canada since she is the originator right?

It is also clearly stated by CIC on their website that funds not readily available or liquidated as at the time of providing your proof of funds cannot count, infact they even went ahead to advise if you can sell a land, car or property but using a land document or 10 cars or any document & giving a timeline for the availability of the fund is not accepted except they change the rule tomorrow.
The word unencumbered funds was used for it meaning readily available, not slowed down, free from mortgage or any limitation of the law.

If you attach a copy of the PRA 2014 to the letter you will realise that the money is available to you only 4Months after you are disengaged from your employment and this is also stated in the letter so you cant withdraw it immediately since you are still working. I bet CIC understands this, that you will have to disengage from your employment when you are travelling consequent of which the money becomes available and they probably decided to allow it since CIC often advise applicants not to resign until the PR is approved.

Hi Solomon, its not worth taking that risk. Infact, the CRS point system is structured in a way that if favours young, single unmarried individuals than married people. Check your likely CRS score online.

Dont also forget that yout Proof of funds also increases with marriage.

For marriage confirmation, a marriage certificate, newspaper publication for females, your application becomes stronger when her passport is in your name.

Thank you for this info. Am not yet married but i can get someone to do IELTs and do evaluation for her as well to increase my score. My question is what do they use to ascertain whether you're truly married or not ( to make sure this does not come back to bite me later on)

If poSsible, why dont you withdraw the 25% and add it to your funds. Those immigration officers are detailed & rarely deal with hoped figures. The thought is that if it is withdrawable, why then did you not withdraw it for this purpose.

Yes, it can improve your score. My wife's IELTS gave me a score of 10 meanwhile she scored LSRW 5.5,7.5,5.5,6.5.

Even as low as 2 points can make you stay in the pool for months so every achievable points count.
Sometimes early this year, CRS cutoff went as low as 435 and it has not gone down low till date only getting higher so you can imagine someone who had 434 since like April will still be in the pool for a year meanwhile the 435 is on the plane to canada already.

Also do Credential evaluation for her. Get all maximum points achievable.

This is what I was told and I just want to confirm if my spouse 's inability to score the almighty LSRW8777 is an issue to worry about or not. What of if she doesn't even write the IElts test at all? Yes, you can use a NOC code of a role you aren't doing presently. The caveat is that you must have been in that role within the last 10 years.

My11year career has 3 different NOC codes, meanwhile only 2NOC codes out of the 3 are eligible for FSW but my present job isn't the NOC Code am quoting. Is it acceptible?

2. What of if income evidence was to personal account & not corporate account?

To claim self employed you'll need to show recommendation letter from clients, CAC registration, income evidence, tax clearance, reference letters from clients, bank statement showing payments from clients, contract agreements. If you have it you're fine.
If you claim employee, your employer will provide a reference letter, but you will have to show evidence of salary payments in your bank account statement.

Your age is a very good advantage.
Your 5year experience is also good with high point.

The real issue is your IELTS. This present score cannot give you a high aggregate score. Aim for @least 8 in Listening and 7.5 in Speaking, 7 in Reading/Writing, with such score it gives you a CLB level of 9 which can shoot your score to about 465 from your 401.
Dont be discouraged, It can be tiring, I scored low @ first, gave myself a break of 2years before re-writing this year & made it in my 3rd attempt. It is possible.

Re-write IELTS soon. The older you get, the less your overall CRS

I had to write IELTS 3 times before I finally got a very high score. My 1st was made up of all 6,6,6,6.5. I had to study more, online tutorial before coming up with LRWS 6,7,6.5,7.5 in Oct2017 but all this could only get a CRS of 376, Still not discouraged I re-registered for Dec2,2017 immediately again & God took control L-8, R-7, W-7.5, S-7.5. This shot my CRS from 376 to 453. Now I can apply for EE this week

2. The higher your degree, the more pointd accrued for credential evaluation.

3. Relative(or spouse relative) gives you a score or 15points.

Sorry, I play too much. You needn't be confused lady, there are lots of (single) people here (like yours sincerely) who are on this journey alone. A partner can only boost your (combined) score if he:
1. Has superior and fantastic IELTS score, something like the 8,7,7,7 and above
2. Has 2 or more degrees, an MSc, a PhD and/or any other recognized professional certification like ACCA
3. Has a sibling who is a citizen or PR of Canada, and best of all
4. Has a provincial nomination or is likely to obtain one.

A combination of one or more of the above would land you safely on Canaan's side as you thought. Without them, your 391 score might get depleted sef. Somebody should kindly vet my submission
