Please mamas, I want to change hospital for delivery as I am moving to Gbagada. The HMO has given me several options and I am stuck between Family and friends hospital, and Aniyun hospital. Anyone that has experience with these 2 should help me with reviews.

I really don't know what to do, with me it wasn't just earrings. Necklaces, wrist watch, I couldn't even wear those fancy nice rings that you wear as teenagers.
Eventually I was diagnosed with nickel allergy.

But you have a point with the potential theft in the crèche. I might just get a good GL and wait and see if she reacts to it.

Are you certain this is a good idea? My sis and her friends used to complain about their babes' gold earrings missing at creche and whenever you ask the teachers, they claim they know nothing about it. Of cos, babies can't relay what happened either.

I don't remember growing up wearing earrings even though my ears were pierced, so it used to seem as though I was allergic to metals too at a certain point in my life when I resumed (as it seemed my mom stopped putting them on, because of the "allergy" ) . But after starting again and battling with recurrent boils and pus whenever I wear original GL, I totally forgot again the exact time that the ears started respecting themselves. Then, I would always apply methylated spirit with cotton wool to my hurting ears, without taking off the earrings and that worked out just fine. Now I can even wear iron gate on my ears and nothing would happen.

Biko mamas, where can I buy pure gold baby ear ring? I have a metal allergy so I only use pure metal, and I don't want to take any chances with my child. The sellers I know don't seem to have.

2 of my friends (both FTM) had their babies without tear. Also, their labour was very short and without much pain(they both testified to it.)
One of them even recommended a book that she read which she believes helped her; Supernatural childbirth. I got it and have started reading it. To be honest I am not so scared of labour.
My mum had 7 children, and she keeps on saying its not as bad as we hear.
Me i believe them, and am now looking forward to seeing my princess.
So please o, be positive and hopeful.

You can go for the scan any where else where scan is done. But look for a reputable place that has a good sonographer. Depending on your location and type of machine used(2D, 3D,4D) scan is between 2500naira - 4000naira.

I am 21 weeks gone, and would like to do an anomaly scan. I have done a previous scan but was unhappy as the quality was very poor (it was one of those mobile scanners).

I would like to have a 3D scan, but I work. Do you guys open on weekends, and if yes, what time.

Kunmimum,coldfeet has said it all,pls insist on having an anomaly test scan as this will give u an insight to ur baby's well being,and if ur doctor insists on u not having it then go elsewhere and do the test. Ask the sonographer for any problems and take it to ur doc. Check also for ur cervix length. Goodluck

Kunmimum through out pregnancy a woman is meant to have a t least 3 scans! More if there is a risk involved.
12 weeks(dating scan for your due date)

20 weeks(anomaly scan for defects)

34 weeks!(growth scan to know the size of your baby)
Your doctor should perform an anomaly scan at 20 weeks! Insist on it or go pay to have it done elsewhere.

Its done to ensure baby is growing and forming well! And to prepare you a d your medical team in case baby will need treatment immediately after birth.

Also if you wish to know to find out baby's gender.

I am 21 weeks gone, and I use this app to keep track (LO, and my body) on a weekly basis. Now according to the app, i suppose don do anomaly scan by 20 weeks (to check if everything dey alright).

At my antenatal on monday, I ask the Dr. when I suppose do the scan, and e talk say him no sabi wetin I dey talk o. That the previous scans wey i don do, suppose dey enough to find out if something dey wrong with LO.

Him talk say, make I chill, that everything dey alright.

Abeg, wetin una think? Make I free am, or make I go somewhere else do the scan. Right now, I no dey pay anything as my insurance covers it all, but if i go another place I go pay.

Sabi mamas, abeg advice me.
