Note that not everyone is cut out to be a manager, it is very difficult to manage people and be appraised based on other people's performance. As a manager you are based on your team's performance and not your ability. So it may be better for you as an individual contributor than a manager.

From your post i would rather employ you as an IC than a manager. A manager is all about "we" and not "i" so you have a lot to learn.

Let me lecture you a bit, i have been working for 7 years employed as a junior staff and today a manager in a multinational company. When i started i was at the lowest level and doing a lot of work i believed was beyond my level bit i did it with pride. I was organising my dept leadership meetings and taking task everyone ran away from. I got promoted 3 times in 4 years and let me tell you that you don't get promoted easily in my company. I never for once complained to my bosses about magnitude of work i was doing nor ask ever for promotion, i did all task to the best of my ability and got results. One of my bosses told me once i was underutilised and he needed me to take more responsibility and authority.

Promotion doesn't come with bitterness and envy but hard work and integrity. Make sure yoy give your manager credits for all the good stuffs and take responsibility for those that goes wrong and see God's promotion.

You won't be denied entry to the United States because you weren't initially able to travel when you had planned to do so, but you should expect to do some explaining when you arrive at the port of entry. I can't advise you on which travel option to take, but neither will necessarily be a bad thing unless it looks like you intentionally lied during your interview simply as a means of obtaining a visa.

myself and family recently got our non immigrant visa a fews weeks back then the plan was to go for vacation in July but something came up at work which i have to supervise and i cant allow my wife and two kids go on thier own as this is their 1st time of travelling.

i have two options:

1. Wait till september and go alone as my kids will be back in school by then and cant skip school to travel.
2. wait till April next year and go as a family when everyone hopefully should be on vacation again.

people had told me that if non of us travel at the initial stipulated time ( july 2015) as filled in our form we may be denied entry and any period we intend to enter the US.

is it true? and will any of the options stated above cause a problem at the port of entry?
