Just ahead of President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to the United States, a former assistant secretary of state, Johnnie Carson, is now saying that the discussion between nigeriaand United Statesshould not be restricted to insecurity alone because nigeriaas he said is “the most important country in Africaand must be treated as such”. The former assistant secretary said in an interview with Reuters that Washington should not let security issues overshadow the need for closer trade and investment ties. In his words: “Nigeriais the most important country in Africa, now more than ever the relationship withNigeriashould not rest essentially on a security and military-to-military relationship” Similarly, US Deputy Secretary of State Tony Blinken told Reuters that: “President Barack Obama has long seenNigeriaas arguably the most important strategic country in sub-Saharan Africa.” Over the years the ties between the US andNigeriahave strained because Nigerian government refused to investigate corruption allegations in the country. Blinken said “The question is would there be an opportunity to deepen our engagement and that opportunity is now” when speaking on Buhari’s three-day visit to Washington. Hopefully, this Buhari’s visit would yield a lot of fruit! Also, I’m very happy that even the Oyibo people know that Naija is a force to be reckoned with. If only we can just get past all of this little little things holding us back. God will help us my people.

Davido‘s manager, Kamal Ajiboyehas reacted to the drug trafficking allegations against the singer. Ajiboye said ‘fans mi’ video was actually promoting yam flour and not white substance. Kamal said “The story is basically to dissuade people from trafficking in hard drugs. The purpose of the video is to let the audience know that since some people are making money from hard drugs, they can also make a lot of money by selling yam flour” “The yam flour was well projected in the video. It was finally prepared as a meal of pounded yam to be eaten with vegetable soup in one of the scenes in the same video.” he added. Kamal further stressed that people are trying to bring down O.B.O and creating unwanted controversy around the video. Frm naijabang.com

In his interview, Jidenna, who declared himself as “Igbo American” stated that unlike in the US, being lightskinned put you at a bigger risk in Nigeria. He described the South-East as being “away from the city”, adding that when you’re lightskinned, you tend to stand out. “When I went to bury my father, I had to bring a lot of AK-47s… I had to employ military commandos… Because when you’re light-skinned, you’re a heavier target for being kidnapped, because you’re seen as more valuable.” He added that his family had been assaulted and robbed, adding that the situation for lightskinned people had it easier in America.Jidenna has come under criticism on social media for the comments, with many saying he conveyed a false perception and put Nigeria in a bad light.

Would you do this for 10million Naira? A couple have thrown caution to the wind by hanging off a jagged rock over an almost 3,000ft drop straight into the ocean below. Leonardo Edson Pereira and girlfriend Victoria Medeiros Nader look just seconds away from slipping and certain death. In another picture, his 18-year-old partner, dangles her whole lower body over the rock face. Leonardo, from Rio de Janeiro, told UK Mirror “I love living on the edge. I know people think it’s dangerous and crazy but it makes me feel alive.”It is really high and I do just hang on using my arm strength.” He continued: “I have to trust myself not to fall.””The first time I did it I was really scared. I didn’t hang off, I just sat on the rock. The second time I was more relaxed and hung over the edge. Once I did cut my arm having to pull myself up.That was the only time I’ve been worried.” Pedra da Gávea is a mountain in Tijuca Forest, Rio de Janeiro, which is 2,769 ft up. That makes it one of the highest mountains in the world that ends directly in the ocean…

s, Boko haram kills 406 Nigerians … source: THISDAY, the saturday newspaper- July 4 2015 ,page 9Buhari’s administration is clearly not making any progress in the war against Boko Haram terrorists. Ever since lost territories were recovered from these bastards by the Jonathan administration, there has not been any proactive/pragmatic effort to minimize suicide bombings by the terrorists. I was shocked when I compiled the casualties in the last 36 days of this administration. 406 innocent Nigerians have been killed in the last 36 days by Boko Haram in the North-east. That is an average of 11 people killed daily. Please, check out the timeline below.

They both were sharing the same banana after they caught a misguided man who eventually impregnated the mother and daughter, probably on the same night. Indeed, wonders shall never end! A South African woman, Mildred Mashego, and her daughter Patricia, have entered the record books as the first mother and daughter to give birth to their babies in the same week and for the same man. Times Live reports that 38-year-old Mashego of Casteel, South Africa, was pregnant when she learned that her 19-year-old daughter was also pregnant, and the two were due just days apart. But her anger turned to shock when she found out that the man responsible for her daughter’s condition was the same man who was going to be the father of her child,Vincent Malumane. Patricia was the first to put to bed a bouncing baby boy, with her mother following suit four days after, wait for it, another boy, making them brothers, a nephew, an uncle and grandson. The sharp shooter Vincent Malumane, admitted that he secretly had s*x with the mother and daughter. “I can’t go back now and explain what happened. All we have to do is focus on making sure that the children are properly cared for.” Mildred admits that during her pregnancy, she was bitter that her daughter had slept with her boyfriend and even considered an abortion over the fact that her daughter was carrying a child for the same man. However, after their babies were born, Mildred decided to forgive her daughter for the sake of her grandson. They are raising their children together and the mother and daughter are now concerned about what they will tell their children when they grow up.

Following the sacking of the board of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), by President Muhammadu Buhari, suggestion has emerged that there is palpable lobbying from powerful forces in core North to fill the positions of Group Managing Director (GMD) and those of Executive Directors. According toDaily Sunreports, some influentially high echelon from the core northern states are gearing up to fill existing vacancies, while the less attractive positions would be left for officers from other part of the country. Information gathered suggests that three names from the North-West and North-East zones are believed to have picked for consideration and possible approval for the position of GMD of the NNPC. The three persons are: Malam Isa Inuwa from Kano State, Dr. M. K. Baru, Bauchi and Alhaji Sa’adi Farouk, Sokoto State Other contenders, who though are not from the North are: Oando’s Mofe Boyo, Chief Pius Akinyelu, a former Executive Director at Mobil, Boyo Ibirogba, Mr Udom Inoyo, a former Director at Mobil and former Minister of Works, Christopher Aigbovbiosa Ogiemwonyi, who was GED at the NNPC and the current GED Gas, Mr. Ige.
