During an anti-government march this morning, thousands of demonstrators in Colombo, Sri Lanka’s commercial metropolis, attacked President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s official house.


The 22 million-person island is experiencing a severe foreign exchange shortage that has restricted the importation of basic goods like food, fuel, and medication, throwing the economy into the greatest financial instability it has experienced in seven decades.

After assaulting the president’s home, a large number of demonstrators leap into his pool while others prowl the balcony above.

On Friday, July 8, Rajapaksa is thought to have been relocated from the official house due to safety concerns.

There was chaos today, July 7, at a petrol station in Falomo, Ikoyi, when a woman hijacked a fuel pump and began spraying petrol on customers.

In a video shared online, the woman is seen spraying people and cars with petrol.
Customers are seen running in different directions to avoid getting sprayed.

Eventually, some petrol attendants, policemen, and a LASTMA official brought the woman under control and seized the fuel pump from her.

Customers dining at a popular restaurant in Lagos state were left disappointed after spotting a live centipede in a bowl of isi ewu soup they ordered.

The diners were at the restaurant to treat themselves to a bowl of sumptuous Isi Ewu, but unfortunately, they could not get themselves to eat the meal after spotting the live creature


The disappointed customers recorded the centipede and shared the video online to warn other customers.

A commercial driver is in the news after he used his own excrete on some officials of the Lagos state Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).

The traffic management officials had tried to arrest him for possible traffic violation. The erratic driver then descended from his vehicle, pulled his trouser, removed his pant, bent down and then pooed on his hand.

Renowned Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has reacted after a Sharia Court in Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State sentenced three men to de@th by stoning over h0m0s³xuality.

A few days ago, Sharia Court sentenced three men to de@th by stoning for practicing h0m0s³xuality.

The trial judge, Munka'ilu Sabo Ningi after finding the accused persons guilty, sentenced them to de@th by stoning.

The convicts include Abdullahi Abubakar Beti (30); Kamilu Ya’u (20) and Malam Haruna (70) years.

They were convicted based on provision 134 of Bauchi State Penal Law of 2001 as well as the provisions of Fiquhussunah Jizu’i number 2 on page 362.

After the judgement, a lot of Nigerians have reacted including actor Yul Edochie.

The photo got many social media users emotional.

According to a writeup that accompanied the photo which was shared on LinkedIn by Solomon Kimani, the mentally ill dad clocked 76 and his son took him out for a birthday treat.

The man whose name is not immediately clear said he grew up seeing his dad in that condition.


The man wrote: "It's my Dad's 76th birthday, he is mentally ill, he is the only family i got left, i took him out for a stroll. Tinubu's running mate, Kabiru Masari has disclosed that his original certificates are missing.

Masari in documents submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) , deposed to an affidavit on the loss of his primary and secondary schools certificates.

This is coming amid controversy over Presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu’s primary and secondary school certificates.

In the sworn affidavit for ‘Loss of Some Original Documents’ obtained from Divisional Police Headquarter, Wuse Zone 3, Abuja attached to the particulars he submitted to INEC, Masari said that in January 2021, while on transit within Wuse, Area FCT, Abuja, he lost his Certificate of Grade 2 Certificate from Katsina Teachers College and First Leaving Primary School Certificate issued by Masari Primary School, Katsina State, (1972-78).
