It's funny how some of us quickly jump to conclusion. What makes you think everyone you see want to scam you? Nobody is making the thread irrelevant. But the truth that is undeniable is that many people open their whatsapp more frequently than they come on this thread. The whole essence is to share information quicker. You mustn't join the group if you are not interested. Also the creation of the group does not render the thread useless. Information are still posted on both platforms. Statistically, everyone open their whatsapp more frequently than the logged on to nairaland. Peace |

NECO FAILED TO PAY MARKERS 55 DAYS AFTER THE MARKING OF SCRIPT The National Examination Council (NECO) has again failed to pay the Chief Examiners and Assistant Examiners who participated in the marking of the 2021 Internal Examination even though the result has since been released. This has become a recurrent case because a similar issue was reported during the 2020 examination where the markers were paid after about 3 to 4 months. It is unfortunate that nothing seems to be done right in this country. WAEC concluded coordination and marking on Saturday 6th of November and has already paid the markers just 2 days after. Our own indigenous exam body loves to see workers suffering before they pay the token. Deuteronomy 24:14-15 says “Do not take advantage of a hired worker who is poor and needy…. Pay them their wages before sunset because they are counting on it. Otherwise they may cry to the Lord against you”. NECO what is our offence? Pay us our money otherwise, we shall consult village people on top una matter. For: Concern Examiners…… CC: Lalasticlala |

QuickFact! Africa is a continent with a total of 54 countries. The entire population of Africa is about 1.34 billion. The United States of America is a country (not a continent) consisting of 50 States (just as we have 36 states in Nigeria). Among the 50 States in the US, is the state of California. The population of the state of California is about 39.5 million which is 0.03% of the population of Africa. The total GDP of all the countries in Africa is about 2.6 trillion dollars. The total GDP of the state of California is about 3.09 trillion dollars. The state of California GDP alone is greater than the GDP of the whole of Africa. Maybe it is because California have Silicon Valley. Most high tech companies such as facebook, google, oracle, eBay, Intel, Cisco, Apple, PayPal, HP, Microsoft and so on are located in Silicon Valley in California. The revenue from Silicon Valley alone no be here oooo. In naija, we have computer village too sha. Tech drives the world. Nigeria will continue to borrow and suffers economic kwashiorkor if in this time, our focus is on cows and grazing route. Awake o' sleeping giant of Africa. It is high time we look inward and bring out the ingenuity in our youth to build African nations that will take its rightful place among comity of nations.
