On ecctis website, when uploading your documents, you would be asked to upload a proof of name change, like marriage cert or some other documents listed, if your name has changed. I uploaded my marriage certificate, as my surname has changed due to marriage.

I agree with @advanceDNA. Submit your IELTS and back it up with a cover letter explaining the mistake you made and stating that your proof of English proficiency is IELTS UKVI .

Guys please I need your input on this. I got my COS, now am applying for VISA as a carer. In the English section of the application I ticked that I have a UK degree equivalent taught in English and that I have the degree certificate. Now at the end of the application it says it is mandatory I submit ECCTIS certificate to prove English Proficiency. I don't have that. What I have is IELTs UKVI with band 7.0

Can I just go with the IELTs for the biometrics. I can't be paying for ECCTIS when I already paid and got IELTS. Hope this won't be an issue. I need your inputs please

Congratulations! I tap into this grace oh Lord! I had my biometrics since May 8, and it has been at DMC since. I’m so worried ☹️

I started applying early last year, after 4 months i stopped applying, fast forward to last month, April 3rd, one of the employer i sent my CV to mailed me to ask if i am still interested, i said yes and that was how we started.

Did two hard interviews but i scaled through, everything i needed to pay for( visa fee, air ticket, accomodation, airport pick up, and lots more) was free... My COS is also free. Infact i submitted no care certificate.

I just received my visa and i know God will do urs as well..

I’m just about to apply for my visa with my dependents. In my own case, I have only my surname and middle name on the birth certificates of my daughters. On my passport and application form, I have my surname, first and middle name. I don’t know if the caseworker would have an issue with my first name not being on my daughters’ birth certificates.

It must be the same case worker that is working on both and the same case worker is expecting explanation on one application then they will use it to judge the other. If Mariam is ur second name, it doesn't matter fully to them legally. What really matter is the variation in ur first name. Do exactly what advancedDNA told you then Back it up with a court affidavit and a new NPC. Also make sure the new NPC is quoted on the affidavit (my thoughts). Once you do this e go fly one way.

I actually have the condition, though not a severe case of it that can't be handled here in Nigeria. I just thought it would make more sense to state it as a reason for travelling. Maybe the VO would have felt differently if i was able to show my Nigerian doctor's report, and if I had mentioned the dual citizenship thing when she asked if there was a specific reason why I wanted to go that far, and not a nearer place.

Hi everyone, I had my interview today with hubby and daughter but we were refused. Here is our transcript.

Vo: passport please, where are u going in the US?

DH: Atlanta Georgia

VO: why are going to the US?

DH: childbirth.... My wife is pregnant and she has been diagnosed of pre-eclamsia, we don't want to take any risk, so we want to have the baby in the US for better health Care.

VO: is there a particular reason why you want to go as far as Georgia, why not somewhere closer?

Me: the doctor I intend to use was recommended to me by a friend that had exact condition during her pregnancy. She used the doctor for her delivery.

VO: do you have a report from a doctor here in Nigeria showing your diagnosis?

ME: (I was like "yepa" in my mind) No, we don't .

VO:how much is your budget

DH: about 21,000 dollars

VO: are you all going for 3 months

DH: wife and daughter will stay 12 weeks, and I will join her towards her delivery date and stay 3 weeks.

VO: ( types and types) hands over blue paper and said we aren't qualified at the moment.

What do you think about our transcript. I believe she lost interest the moment we said we didn't have the Nigeria doctor's medical report. We intend to get my medical report and re-apply soon. Please advise.

I just found out that it's my old passport number that is on my visa application payment confirmation page. The lady at the bank mistakenly inputted my old passport number instead of new. Should I go ahead and fill my application form with my new passport number, or do I have to go back to the bank? Thanks

I, my husband and daughter recently applied for a UK visitor's visa. My husband is sponsoring our trip. He owns his own business with a business registration cert and tax certificate. He uses his personal account for business and that's what we are submitting. I am a makeup artist without a business registration cert or bank statement. I ticked self employed on the form because I earn some money from being a makeup artist. Would I be expected to submit a business registration cert and bank statement , even when my husband is the sole sponsor? Our appointment is next week, please advise.
