CultureRe: Can Truth Be Said With Diplomacy by ladionline: 7:35am On Dec 26, 2013
The purest truth is two edged sword, it can slash either way, everybody bleeds. But with patience, I mean longsuffering, not the First Madam, the purest truth will establish its sacred branch as norm. It's not a fair world, such perfect truth is impossible.
CultureRe: Yoruba Offensive Proverbs by ladionline(op):
My red cap with feather again early this morning. This particular proverb is quintessential for time like this: aini-amoju-kuro lonje keru were po. The proverb is didatic fact of life. Here is it: not having the habit as to ignore things clutter the life of a (crazy) man with junks. Some people are entangled to personal-effects such as antique of clothes, the oldest gadgets and rustic things like that, as if there is future waiting for such. Please box the junks for recycle plant or get it to Guiness book of records as 'oldest personal artifact' or give it out to scavengers if conscience wont allow you to give it out to someone close to you. Prepare a place for fresh increase today. Go ahead and do it now, hmmmn and thank me later (someone on my mind again!). That's also a proverb: amukoko kii gbagbe isanor.

Wande boy must have copied my unsung song before I met my zeebaby. I don't know what my zee baby put in the food she served. But I pray its love-portion, its working on me already. Meanwhile I have enough enemy on nairaland. But if I die, in the hand of a woman, remember this and note it as my epithaph: 'no victor, no vanquished' he that giveth hath taketh. But if man kill me, Rasputin!!! I must rise again to revenge! I no go ever die again be that. grin

USADiasporan: Hi ladi! You are one of the first ones to welcome me online smiley. Life is one big quest, for sure. It's sometimes hard to do the things we dream of, especially the older we get. But if we could only hang on to the faith we had as children, we could do anything.
Thats true life my brother, we are turn apart between our devotion and distractions right from childhood. When we catch the dream too late it get to span more than a lifetime that we dont seem to have. albeit, we can bestow the vision to the next generation in the book we find time to write or org we register. Remember Walt Disney! We all have some magic that is concealed in childhood, we have to revamp it, or else the void. Meanwhile, if it is spiritual, be ready to fight for it as it may mean 'stupid' to the other man in the alley. People freely feed on each other's brainchild to prove 'smarter than thou' everyday, protect yours jealously.

Quite an age usadiaspora. I am happy that you are still constant. You know, life is one big quest that engage we all, but just as you've said, its not 'all comer' thing. Some will be embarrased by our quest, that our devotion is delution. But like Churchill would say, never ever, ever, ever give up. Lincoln said something to that effect in his letter to his child teacher: 'teach him to have faith in his own idea...' Hang on to that faith, it is not delution but devotion.
