Wow! just checking out religious section to get more juicy gist about Oga Sule and madam Otobo after being off NL some while. am so surprised to see so many atheist in religious sectioin but I must confess that I have never met one in real life. Is it that in real life they are pretending or what. But truth be told it is unthinkable not to believe in God here in Nigeria even the word atheism 85% of Nigerians don't know what it means let alone identifying as one.in fact If you tell an average Nigerian you do not believe in God the next thing he will ask you is: so then you believe in Satan/Devil/Juju? if you say no that you believe in nothing the person will term you a psycho ![]() In Nigeria you must believe in something if you are even doubtful only the stories of fiery witchcraft attacks, heaven & hell, spiritual manipulation, etc. mehn you go use fear gree .Even me that is typing I don't know the kind of logic that will make me not to believe in my God. though I some times have some lingering doubt about religion especially the fact that they are so many teaching different things but fear no dey gree me reason reach that atheism side ![]() mean while I still need more Update about oga sule and her ms na their tory carry me land NL after so many months of absence ![]() no blame me that tory too juicy I tell you ![]() |

Proudlyngwa:we have to overhaul our judicial system and deal with all the corrupt judges to serve as a shining example to others. |
our judges are indeed the custodians of corruption ![]() |
this is so true |
It is so shameful and embarrassing to hear some of our highly revered justices to conceal a highly sensitive criminal act like attempt bribery for so long that they are letting it out now that the chips are down. they should know better what the relevant sections of the constitution state about bribery and it attendant consequences. Are they spilling the beans now because their sorry behind are in dire fix or is it a concocted ploy to sway public attention from the cruse of there predicament and stir up public passion against the minister of transport?. in any case the magistrate up to the justices in any country aught to be the whistle blowers and custodian of law. in fact, they have to be pro active in propagating all those instead of reactive because they are seen as reference point as far as good code of conduct is concern I am not holding a brief for the present Minister of transport. What he was accused of may be the truth or entirely hoax, but it so embarrassing of our apex judges at this point in time when they are in the net of the DSS to spill what I perceive as vindictive nonsense. we would have taken them far more seriously had they told us all those immediately the act was done and proceed to the appropriate quarters to nail who ever did the deed. Its a shame that our justices in this country have not an iota of integrity and from what I have observed especially in this forgoing judicial rascality they are just as good as the highest bidder get it all. |
biafranqueen:bad belly is allowed |
I kinda totally agree with you Agboro. jumping to conclusion without probing the real cause most time result to flawed conclusion |

President Muhammadu Buhari has advised Nigerian filmmakers against promoting violence and sex scenes in their movies. The president urged movie practitioners to endeavour to always project the country in a positive light. Buhari sent the message to the movie industry in a foreword written in a brochure on the film industry. The brochure was titled, “Nigerian Film Industry at a Glance” and it was published by the Africa Film Academy. Buhari was quoted to have said: “The Nigerian film industry that is now called Nollywood, in the fashion of the American, Hollywood and Indian, Bollywood started as the effort of a group of enterprising young men and women who traded on their talents and sheer determination without anyone paying attention. “It has now metamorphosed into a big industry employing thousands of people, contributing to the national Gross Domestic Product and empowering a new generation of creative entrepreneurs.” “Our government will continue to support the creative sectors of its economy so as to encourage our teeming youths while we enjoin our filmmakers to continue to project the image of Nigeria and the continent of Africa in a positive way through their story lines. Filmmakers should not make films for art sake. Films should be functional and socially relevant.” “Filmmakers, whether local or those who come here to use our facilities, must however be sensitive to our cultures and religions. They must not glamourise violence or sexual vulgarity in all their forms. They must not promote racism or ethnic superiority or demonise any religion or culture. “I want to see more films that celebrate our diversity, films that celebrate the achievements of our people, films that promote social causes of right to education, films that tells us the evil of domestic violence against men and women, films that inspire hope and faith in our country and humanity in general. I am confident that Nollywood would go from strength to strength.” source http://leaders.ng/?p=8552 https://leaders.ng/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/nolywood.jpg haba mr. presido na that touchry kissitivity na im dey make nolly sweet na abi we no be circular kuntry ni ![]() |
