I reached out (email) to VAC and they explained. According to them, it’s a small rectangular sticker attached to one’s passport biodata page (photocopy) after biometrics. My wife has the sticker.

I had mentioned it earlier that my mum had been denied three times now although the reason stated has been addressed before the second and the third trial
I had claimed that she is employed just because she she is a petty trader Have included all receipts of her trade in the application and I have confirmed that I’ll be the sole sponsor of her trip. I submitted our bank statement cos I felt she won’t be needing it cos I mention it on the letter that I’ll be the full sponsor and the reason for the dinner at the first one is that The circumstance depends on her and the second one was that there are large some of money unexplained on the account which obviously there is none so

So in the last application I gave to an agent cos I feel maybe I’m not doing something right, perhaps needs the touch of a professional, which was more than one year now, I’ve also confirmed that I will be the full sponsor. I have included six months account statement, which has enough money in it. My partner myself has written an invitation letter with as well written, sponsorship letter, we have included family pictures included the child certificate And we have confirmed that we are the one sponsoring her all our documents are submitted with the application to my surprise. The reason for the decline is not clear to me because they actually states that they are not sure I will be able to sponsor her in spite of the fact that I’ve got enough money for the trip. my wife has submitted a sleep, bank statement. I have submitted my payslip my bank statement as well, I’m sure they did not look into the submitted document very well because there’s no way I could have proved a personal relationship with my mom without me submitting a birth certificate pictures that involve myself and my mom involve my dad and my mom to show home ties which I did I don’t know what else to do, that’s why I’ve actually brought it here
Please guys what do you advise me to do in the next application as I have been building the account for the past seven months now I’ve got my sister to be sending money to her account as the monthly upkeep , I have as well, been sending money to her as monthly upkeep, she hasn’t used the account since then for any other thing other than the upkeep and she withdraws too from it

I had my children in 2020 and spent a little over two months abroad during that period. When I was interviewed, the Visa Officer asked how I managed to stay for that long. I explained that I was on a 3-month maternity leave, in addition to my annual leave. The officer also asked for my delivery date and clarified that I wasn’t affected by the executive order signed by Trump at the time.

The VO then asked if I was planning to give birth while in the U.S. and explicitly advised me not to use my visa for that purpose. He mentioned that the B1/B2 visa could no longer be used for childbirth. My visa was then granted, and I have been able to renew since then with no issues.

hello @ladycaplin when did you have your kids pls , could you pls say what was asked , I had a baby in 2023 , I have an appointment next week and really anxious , had two kids 2016/2017 applied for birthing visas , in 2022 had an interview to take my son for a check up , they asked for the appointment details and issued the visa , got pregnant end of 2022 and gave birth 2023

It will. After 30 days, no child born to anyone on a non-immigrant visa will be permitted to obtain US citizenship.

I was told the same thing when I went in for my interview after I submitted through drop box and was called in for an interview.

Please see attached my refusal letter.
I enquired fro. The bank amd honestly they claim it's the different applications used in processing payment schedule.
And also for the budget for the trip.. I mean I had 10m treasury bill, 7m in my salary account, 5m in my personal savings and 6m in a joint account with my mom.
I may be wrong ; but I thought with all of these, spending 2500 pounds isn't too much.
Please I need the input of all the gurus in the house. Is it something I can appeal or reapply? If I have to reapply, how do I tackle these points being raised?
It was a very painful thing for me cos I dint get a refusal mail nor hard copy, just my passport was returned so I was excited I got the visa.
I had to send a paid mail before they sent this refusal letter.

It means you will have to go in for a physical interview.

Usually referred to as a refusal under221G.

The interview is usually to provide more information/clarification to enable the Visa officer to give a final decision.

Did you spend an unreasonable length of time on your last visit to the States? Childbirth? These are some of the reasons that come to mind now.

You need to keep checking and might take a while (7weeks in my case) for the status to change.

Be patient and pray whilst at it.

I WENT TO OIS @ idowu Taylor TO PICKUP TODAY, Apparently, many people had gone to DHL and were redirected to OIS,

First thing, go to OIS and book an appointment on appointment.oisservices.com, then go early enough, when I got there, they told us to write our names and passport number in a list, then they would check if the passport is actually ready, afterwhich you would be allowed inside and wait for them to SORT AND FIND your passport.

It was actually hectic, got there 10am and left around 2.45pm, just plan the whole day,

I actually didn't pay the 48k, don't know why because I saw some others before me pay so I was already prepared to pay, but I wasn't asked, maybe because time was far spent.

In my opinion, conflicting information regarding your employment status in your previous and current applications.

Being the 4th refusal, I will advise that you leave the UK for now.. Credibility issues at stake as inferred from the refusal notes.

Apply to other countries and build a travel history.

I tracked my passport on the OIS website and my passport isn't with them. I guess it's still at the embassy.

I may have to book an appointment with OIS once I confirm the passport is with them. Hopefully, I don't have to pay the 48k fees. But let us see how it goes.

Thank you for the update. There seems to be so little information on pickups.

For me, I submitted IW documents in Lagos. My visa was issued over a week ago and still no pickup mail. Within this period, I have used the chat box on the new site twice and in both instances they asked me to wait for pickup instructions.

I decided to sign up on OIS. From the OIS website, my passport is ready for pickup, where it is exactly is what I don't know.

Anyway, I have booked a free pickup and will go searching for my passport. I will share an update once I have gone for the appointment.

I submitted on the 12th of July with my husband his passport came back 10days after submission, mine has been on "Application Received" till this afternoon. My IW Dropbox was 14th August 2024. I have an official trip to Europe with flight already booked for 14th September 2024. Till now it’s Application received. Application received 15th, 21st and now 27th August the latest until now that I’m typing this . I’ve been discouraged seeing some folks say theirs have taken more than 1 month , some even nearly 2 months . What are the chances I get my passport before 14th September . At this point if they can just return my passport with or without the visa I’ll be the happiest man alive . I’m freaking out so much mehn . I wish I didn’t submit this IW thing this time .
