RomanceRe: The type of woman that truly Deserves A Faithful husband? by lagrangea: 3:55am On Nov 05, 2017
First of all, this is some bullshit. The past is the past. Any person that is faithful deserves a faithful spouse. And you people should stop excusing men and cheating. If a man can cheat, a woman should be able to cheat too

if its about distance, then a straight line would be the shortest, but i don't think that's what you actually mean since you included the initial velocity parameter. So, it's not about the distance between the points, but the TIME it will take from one point to the other. Based on this assumption, gravity will only help boy B when he is moving from the apex of the parabola to point D. please do not forget that, while he is moving from point C to the apex of the parabola, he will have to put more energy, to defeat the force of gravity, and that invariably means more time.

we could argue that both ETAs "COULD" be the same, but that would require a clear scientific experiment.
my 1 kobo
Thank you very much, but what I really think should be taken into consideration isn't all things being equal but all things being done, it doesnt mean more time as the force of gravity invariably brings him down, obviously with a thud.
EducationThe Fallacy Of A Straight Line Denoting Shortest Distance. by lagrangea(op): 2:59pm On Oct 28, 2014
You probably must have heard that the shortest distance between two points, say point A and point B, is a straight line, well its time to burst those illusions. The cliche, all things being equal is always applied only in an ideal situation, but some certain things shouldn't follow that principle of all things being equal. Look at it this way, the first man to break the sound barrier didn't attempt doing it on a horizontal plane, instead when he reached a certain height he turned it upside down, after that all hell was let loose and the extra thrust brought about by the pull of gravity ensured that he broke the speed barrier. Same thing applicable in this scenario of shortest distance, take for instance, if two boys A and B, of similar magnitude and capability (*no pun intended*) move from a point C to a point D, Boy A follows a straight line while Boy B follows a parabola with the same initial velocity, the odds are in the favour of the boy B reaching the final point earlier, simple because of one factor, the pull of gravity. "All things being equal" I think, should remain a cliche. AJAH ELIEZER.

EducationIs Shakespeare Really A Racist??? (2) by lagrangea(op): 2:40pm On Oct 12, 2013
when i posted the first issue of shakespeare being a racist i didnt have an idea that the literature teacher would think otherwise, being a science student, i decided to give him fair hearing, this was what he wrote that I can still remeber.
Could Shakespeare have been a racist when in his days the words 'racist' and 'racism' were virtually non-existent? Recall that the character used by many critics as being oppressed, Caliban, was in actual sense referred to as 'innocent'. (nice beginning huh?)
Being one of the few authors whose work has outlived them, the literary man has been associated with much criticisms, his being a gay(tragedy of king lear), but the most dominant of them all is his being aa racist.
In most of his books 'the tempest', 'othello' and 'the merchant of venice' shakespeare had an element of racial undertones embedded in the book, but is it really fair to associate that aas an 'Authorial intrusion?' that stands in doubt! oscar wilde author of the picture of dorian gray, was known in many circles as being gay, but none of his works reflected his lifestyle.
Actually, we should take coignizance of the fact that in Shakespeare's time which was the victorian era, what was in vougue was oppression of slaves, both white and black, so his works that might have been thought to depict racism was just the reflection of the mood of his time and NOT his personal sentiments.
So, the question should be whether he had sympathies for those oppressed or not and not if he was a racist or not.
N/B: please if you have any comment don't hesitate in writing it, i will need it for my hypothesis. AJAH ELIEZER.

EducationIs Shakespeare Really A Racist???? by lagrangea(op): 4:17pm On Oct 07, 2013
Now, we have all heard of the great literary icon, William Shakespeare, whose books have become household names in the literary world. Now the million dollar question is; whether Shakespeare was a racist. In his epic novel the tempest, we realise that the underdog in the book was an african- CALIBAN. This would have been overlooked by the gentleman of the literary world if this distinguished gentleman had not compounded the whole thing in another of his book (name witheld for securuty purposes) the african depicted in the most negative light was our guy ORTHELLO. So ladies and gentlemen is he or was he or was he not someone that was a racist. (remember the racial undertones.) AJAH ELIEZER
PoliticsRe: Should Kidnappers Be Killed by lagrangea: 9:46pm On Jun 18, 2013
well the disrepancy between life sentence and killing of the kidnappers is quite minimal. The only thing that can alleviate it might be if the culprit is granted a parole. what do you guys say about the cleveland kidnapper that kidnapped a pregnant woman that later miscarried. I believe the post should give a poll again on whether they should be killed or given the life sentence. I personally prefer killing 'cos I'm PRIMUS GLADATORIS!!!!
