All emails are replied everyday same day-same day. I am assuming you are referring to mails sent to lagtech2999@yahoo.com

Time difference between Nigeria and the USA though may mean that a mail you send at 6am Naija time is not replied till 5pm Naija time.

Lagtech you know I don't enjoy complaining here but please we at least deserve an explanation. if not anything you owe us that.

Time is and will always remain money. Any time lost is money lost. Some of us would have sold a good part of our items and re ordered. I know we need to exercise patience but not when we don't know what's happening.

Sir-from Page 1 -I have stressed how delays can happen with shipping. Let me give you some examples:

Example 1: @azpekuliar ordered a PS4 in April. He is here on Nairaland-and can confirm the story. We gave it to the shipper and told AZ that it had shipped -the following week - i went to the shippers office for some other business and discovered that the PS4 had not left the USA. Why? Because the shipper had a 500pound minimum-without 500 pounds -the airline would not take his items-so all items submitted did not ship. Eventually the PS4 arrived 3 weeks late. Whereas his second PS4 was shipped on a Thursday and arrived following week Saturday (10 days).

Example 2: We now have shippers in other states; We send your items to them via USPS priority 2 day shipping. I sent a package some weeks ago to meet the shippers date. USPS delivered the item to his office-no one was available-so USPS took it back as no one was there to sign for it. Thus items did not ship that week- and went 1 week later. That translated to an extra 2 weeks plus to Naija


Example 3: We have shipper whom we sent things through a while back. They were supposed to land in Naija in 2 weeks. By the 3rd week-items were no were to be found. Then another week-then another week. Eventually after 2 months-items were found in Amsterdam-the airline had offloaded the items in Amsterdam and they had gone unclaimed.

Example 4: Someone shipped medicine- which is allowed -but has an extra charge-which we paid. When goods arrived Naija an "angry" customs guy who was new to the section decided to seize all the goods saying it was contraband. It took weeks of begging and money talk by the shipper to have all the items released.

There is no importer that has not experienced delays. Its part of the business. We are a new business in this area. Before March 2014-I sold almost all my laptops on Ebay and Craigslist here in the USA- I shipped to Nigeria maybe twice or thrice a year. Since we started weekly shipping to Nigeria -we have experienced many things and gotten wiser.
If you order something on Sept 1st and someone who ordered on Sept 7th gets his first its not because we are partial to that person-it could be because of one of the reasons or one of the dozens of other reasons not listed above.
With 3 shippers now-our shipping reliability has increased from 85% to 95%.


We appreciate advice or links from any of our numerous customers. @MadridFC linked us to a new shipper-so we now have 4 shippers- 3 different days of the week.

goldtooth: Oga lagtech told us about usps courier to help receive stuff faster. You can try that since you dont mind the cost

USPS through NIPOST is good and fast. Cheaper than DHL and same time-BUT there are challenges.

Our first packagae back in June-we were charged 5k- second one-8k and by the fourth package- we were charged 50k in Lagos and 22K in Ado Ekiti. I think someone in Customs had focused on our names after seeing it so many times.
I get items from overseas here in the USA from China, Nigeria, Australia, England-USA customs has never asked me to come for an interview or to pay an special fee. Items are brought to our office-end of story.

We use the same USPS to send items to South Africa-it gets to our customers there in 3 days for express and 6 days for flat rate-they are not over charged.

If you know someone at the post office or customs -you can try USPS.
