I recently got my Craigslist order for a Toshiba laptop, 3 digital cameras, an iPod shuffle and 2 battery chargers and so far so good I'm loving what I'm seeing.

While the laptop screen was smaller than expected I was compensated in the many other specs. Top of it being my battery lasting just over 3 hours when fully charged(Seller initially said I might need a new battery). The other stuff bought are ok too. Wish to commend Lagtech specially on his customer relations and honesty.

I also removed Ubuntu to install Windows 7.

I swear down!!! Oga lagtech is such a rare opportunity.. Well, they say some people dont value what they have until when they lose it.. Lose it and see it!!! Have been into importation for a while.. Permit me to say this.. Importation isnt for impatient beings.. If u're in this category.. Work on urself before importation give u high blood pressure.. @Shinner2010-pleading how? Lol! Its their money. Customers have a right to complain and get angry-a good business has to handle such complaints properly. I didnt cancel their orders in anger-I cancelled it to safeguard the peace of mind of the customers. With their money in the hands-there is an element of peace. I am a customer to some businesses too-if you cant give me my goods or service-at least let me have my money!!!

I hope I am making some sense sir. Its not about anger-or trying to prove something.

From all intents and purposes-there is no point trying to help people get items at low prices, looking for discounts-and then having items delayed for weeks. We want to satisfy our customers and make them happy. Happy customers make a business grow. We are thus cancelling the 9 orders for discounted laptops and netbooks that have been delayed.

Driving at 2am to pick up your BB from St.Louis Park when I should be sleeping! Driving to Maplewood for 2 hours to pick up your iphone and the seller disappeared-and I had to foot the petrol bill -with no commission charged. Running to the store on Saturday to get the phone for you for your paypal? Why are you loosing hope over 1 transaction when we have transacted over a dozen deals and delivered them to you already.

Bros -please there is no Team Hopeful....lol! What are hoping for? Anyone importing needs to make shipping decisions. You can even order and get your item in 1 day if that is within your budget. Or you can decide to send an item by sea-and wait 3 months for it.

Every item that you described above were all items that were heavily discounted- Netbooks for 10k- laptops for 25k that are normally 35k to 40k. And in every instance the buyers were told to expect longer shipping. The only exceptions were the orders that were delayed May ending/June.

The Facts didnt change sir-you asked for a hp pavilion dual core laptop with webcam -I told you such laptops go for 33k and above. You said all you had was 24k-and I said the only that could be possible was

1)Recycle option
2) Delayed shipping.

I told you several times that we pay almost 8k to ship such 15.4 and 15.6 laptops -and the only way to help you get the laptop at that price of 24k and not make a loss on our part was to take the time to get the laptop as cheap as possible-meaning much slower shipping.

madridfc: Well, in as much as I am also expecting my refund this week, I just ve to say this; I know You're 100% genuine, you've conducted deals worth thousands of naira, but how can the items of just 5pple be having shipping 'delays' for close to 2months now(june 2nd)? The DELAY is in quote cos up till this moment nobody knows what exactly is 'delaying' just 5items; or is it because the money/profit is small? Just 24k. because I've seen so many times the speed U use in delivering other people's items here, abi these peoples have two heads? Its really annoying seeing items of pple that ordered just 7days ago being delivered, while ours of more than a month plus is still not insight.

Once again I apologise. Yes- I feel your pain and fully understand you. The reality is that sometimes shipping can get messed up. I know of people-not on Nairaland or in this business- who have had items lost or missing and I am aware of a Nigerian here in the USA who just had what she shipped to Naija arrive 2 years after!.
What we always guarantee is the safety of your money-until we buy our own plane and ship-we cant really guarantee more than that.

There is no special favoritism. Someone for whom we buy a flash drive -all we make is barely N200-so it would make no sense to serve the N200 profit person well and ignore the person from whom we are making 3k or 5k or 10k.

But in your case -like that of 3 other people-the mathematics has to be seen.

If you buy an item at a discounted rate like one worth 29k for 10k-or 35k for 25k -you have to expect slower shipping than if you paid full price. Shipping rates are fixed. I explained this several times-.

Theres a case of someone who asked us to get a laptop for about 25k that normally would cost at least 45k. He said that was all the money he had-I explained that it was possible-but that it involved getting such a laptop at a recycling place or auction and that it would be -missing parts; we would then have to buy all the parts for low prices. I told the individual that we would need at least 2 to 3 weeks to do this before even shipping.Yet 4 days after payment-he was already asking me when the laptop would land and by the 2nd week-he was already complaining that it was taking too long.

We dont discriminate with shipping sir-sometimes its faster than slower-shipping is 100% out of our hands-CUSTOMERS ARE FREE TO CHOOSE ANY SHIPPING METHOD-some of them can deliver in 3 to 5 days. We use the shippers we have because

-They are very affordable
-They have been 100% reliable for the last 3 years
-Customers dont have to deal with customs wahala or pay extra fees on arrival.

Sometimes its fast-sometimes slow.

I helped someon order a laptop on ebay on Sunday. It arrived on Wednesday just before shipping-so left for Nigeria that day and by the following Wednesday was in Naija.

Whereas I have had an item take over 3 weeks to get to Naija.

All in all 80% of our customers get their items within 10 days

15% within 10 to 14 days

There are delays of over 20 days with 5% of clients.
