Exactly, I agree with you. Now, I don't ask girls to pay for their forms, I arrange for an audition, select the girls and the form fee will be removed from their first jobs... I really won't blame the girls for thinking that they would be scammed as I have been scammed before as well.

What is your budget for your birthday? With a budget, we can work something out. But first think of a home celebration. Call a few friends cocktail, small chops, cakes cupcakes, adult games, food, there are a whole lot to do even with a low budget. Just allocate your expenses right and figure out what you want people to remember the most about your birthday party and you will be fine.

There are some misconceptions about ushers that needs to be clarified. Ushers are not servers, we assist servers but we are not meant to serve food. But if we do not assist, guests seems to think we are just figureheads. 2, I think agencies should endeavour to train their ushers, not every usher know the rules. I joined 3 ushering agencies before I started mine, and these agencies never trained us, yet the bosses get angry when we do not perform at events but how can we when we dont know what to do. I train my ushers from time to time to make sure they deliver at events.

I also think that ushers should be decently dressed, so as not to portray a negative vibe from the guests. Sometimes, a client may ask if the girls can come for their after party and I say a strong No, we are ushers not party minglers. Just my opinion.

Ushering is becoming a must-have at events, let's create a strong force, people still don't understand why ushers are needed at events, we should make them understand that we are not just pretty faces in pretty outfits, we are there to work and make guests feel comfortable.

5 THINGS YOU SHOULD DO AFTER YOUR WEDDING IS OVER.

After all the wedding festivities wind down, your big day is still probably all you'll be able to think about. You'll want to ride that post-wedding high for as long as possible, but then, before you know it, you've been married for six months! Here are 5 things you should do after your wedding is over:

1. SEND OUT THANK YOU NOTES- Your friends and family travelled from near and far to be with you on your special day, and they probably got you nice gifts as well. So don't wait too long to complete this important task, we suggest you and your partner block out some time to take care of it as soon as your honeymoon is over.

2. HAVE YOUR WEDDING DRESS CLEANED AND/OR PRESERVED- If you're planning on keeping your wedding dress for posterity, you should have your dress professionally cleaned as soon as possible. Even if you don't think your future daughters will wear your dress some day, you may decide to rent it to other brides who may show interest.

3. REVIEW YOUR VENDORS- Your wedding vendors worked tirelessly to make your day feel special, so return the favor by posting a great review on wedding boards or on their social media pages. It's a great way to express your gratitude and help your vendors grow their business. Don't just do it for them, do it so that other couples can discover your amazing makeup artist or efficient event planner. I think it's just good karma! I would love a review from a satisfied client to boost my market. (Just saying)

4. TAKE DOWN YOUR WEDDING WEBSITE- If you're paying to host your wedding website, you'll definitely want to take it down after the big day to cut costs. Your wedding website may show up in Google results when people search for your name. Remove from the Web if you don't want people to see them.

5. LEGALLY CHANGE YOUR NAME- Changing your name on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter is the easy part, but you also need to make time to do it legally. Collect the necessary documents, like your passport, driver's license, to name a few. The longer you wait, the more likely it is that you'll create more headaches for yourself (especially when it comes to travel arrangements) or you might even end up misplacing your marriage license. (Not that we've ever done that...) Commit to your name change early to make your transition into married life much easier.

We hope you find this helpful. If you need professional help, please contact us via email- bakare.lamide@gmail.com or call any of the numbers below. Thank you.

Still about last weekend.

EventsRe: You Can Plan Your Wedding Yourself. by LaHeiress(op): 7:27pm On Apr 27, 2015
So about this weekend... We had a great time at a burial ceremony in Ibadan. The Event was organized by Oyinkan of Beauti4ashes Events. Client was really impressed and some female guests gave some of the hostesses money to show appreciation. We exhausted all our business cards. We are glad the guests were happy with our services. Our official photographer (xtrm Creations) couldn't make it as he had another event to cover this weekend, so we had to make do with our phones sad We missed you oh! We still couldn't get a full shot of all of the girls at once. Thank you Lord for yet another successful event.

A big thank you to all our hostesses for always delivering quality at all our events and for allowing La' Heiress to continue to be in business. We love you and God bless you all!

Bridesmaids.

When it comes to choosing your bridal train, make sure you pick wisely. The work that comes with being a bridesmaid is more than it may seem at first and don't feel you must choose an equal number of men and women kiss

How dare you advertise under another event planner's thread?! It is rude and disrespectful. Create another thread.

EventsRe: Can I Plan Wedding With 900k To 1m by LaHeiress(f): 8:48pm On Apr 15, 2015
Replies like 1m is enough or not enough baffles me. He hasnt mentioned the type of wedding he wants, you dont even know what his fiancée wants, hear him out, what if he plans to have 500 guests and over? Or he hasn't concluded on the hall he wants and all the other logistics. Sorry to say, but some people are not realistic with their expectations and their budgets, you also need to find a way to meet their expectations with their budgets, I have planned a wedding with a 500k budget before but the couple were realistic with their expectations and what to prioritse on, it doesn't mean we won't deliver quality, it only means you can't have it all. What I am trying to say is that, 1M can be enough and 1M may not be enough depending on how realistic you are with your expectations. I focus on low budget weddings but with my years of experience, I have come to realize that couples on a budget are the ones that seem to want it all.

CLIENT BRIEF vs CLIENT BUDGET
Everyone wants to save money these days. But there are always couples who expect a lavish party or event on a very strict budget. Good news! There are ways to keep your costs in check and still give your wedding a taste of luxury!

Set expectations early!

If you are planning the wedding yourself or you hire an event planner, your first duty is to set your expectations right off the bat. You need to understand that your budget won't get you everything you want. Talk with your spouse about where you are willing to scale back to save on costs, and where you want to spend the most. Have examples of some compromises ready for them to choose from.

CUT COST WHERE NECESSARY
LOCATION-  An outdoor wedding would cost more than one done in a hall.

PRINTING- Instead of spending money on printing IV's, create a website for the event and send IV's via emails. Then print IV's for the very important people.

DECOR- Here's where many people break the bank without even intending to do so. Instead of flowers as centrepieces, you can use a simple candle arrangement.

AREAS YOU SHOULD NOT CUT COST ON
These 3 areas are where I would strongly discourage you to save cost on:
- FOOD
- ENTERTAINMENT
- PHOTOGRAPHY- You won't forgive yourself  if you end up with bad pictures, even if the event didn't go as planned.
At La' Heiress, we find a meeting point between our client's brief and our client's budget, even with small budgets, we would finetune your brief to meet your expectations.
