Only. A DNA test of AJOKE with one of Tb Joshua's relatives will put naysayers to rest. For now, her biological relationship to The late prophet is questionable

Though I don’t really subscribe to the crap you wrote above, but all I know is that Ghanians are just full of shits. Anywhere you see them, they always behave as if Nigerians are the only problem they have.

Even those of them abroad always behave like slaves wherever they work so that employers can see them as obedient and trustworthy as against Nigerians who they sometimes perceive as arrogant due to their no-nonsense nature.

You’re 💯 right about this one.

But this guy is a content creator, how do we believe this..??

Some Nigerian churches do this too… it may not be as much as £100 pounds (#150,000 naira) but some Nigerian churches do give out alms.

There’s one pastor in the north, pastor Jeremiah or so, then late pastor T.B Joshua of blessed memories.

They usually do these things without much publicity, even some billionaires in my state do it for their people too..

Many churches do it in Nigeria. Even the UK wey he Dey talk how many of the Churches gave out gifts? Not many. So, because my church wey I Dey attend for uk no give me gift for UK make I call them out, yet I still pay offering willingly?

The guy is a content creator and would cash out big on this because many gullible Nigerians would jump on it to rubbish Churches in Nigeria.

Truthfully speaking, many Nigerian churches has made going to church unattractive to people.

From the moment you step feet into the church up until you left, it's all about money money money, giving giving giving.
No time for indepth teaching of the word of God or praise and worship.

That £100 he got was donated by members of his Church too. You can’t take giving away from Church. It is part of it for the progress of the church and community at large.

TruthsFM:
More Hardship Looms For Nigerians As DisCos Set To Increase Electricity Tariff On Jan 1

While the pains of fuel subsidy removal still linger, the confusion surrounding a planned electricity tariff increment starting from January 1, 2024 has compounded the worries.

It was gathered that the officials of the Nigeria’s Electricity Distribution Companies (DisCos) held a virtual emergency meeting recently to formalise and perfect the planned tariff increase.

A source in one of the DisCos, who claimed anonymity, confirmed the development to Daily Trust on Sunday.

The source said: “All has been perfected for the new tariff to take effect from the first of January, 2024.

It is now left for various electricity distribution companies to enlighten their customers on new developments.”

The source said the National Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) had already invited distribution companies for a meeting on the development.
He expressed fear that while it is mandatory for electricity distribution companies to regularly evaluate tariffs every six months, the recent increase would meet customers’ dissatisfaction.

“In fact, we were perturbed by the short notice and how we would reach out to our customers about the increase,” he said.
Asked how much the increase would be, the source said, “No idea so far, but the uncertainty has put us in a difficult situation.”

Recall that in November 2023, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu stopped the implementation of the electricity tariff, insisting on a power sector subsidy.

Speaking on Tinubu’s directive on electricity tariff hikes, the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, said, “The power sector is an industry that is very sensitive to any leader.

“You cannot jump overnight and implement the cost-reflective tariff. I can tell you that till today, the government still subsidises power”.

Nigerians always disgracing themselves. Who told him it's because they are many that's why power went off.

Even in the US here, there is power outage, though it is very rare, like 2 to 3 times yearly, especially during winter, and it's normally restored within 6 to 12 hours maximum depending on what got spoilt.

It was as a result of emergency and safety it was switched off due to bad weather. Most times emergency lighting will come up for few minutes before the restoration.

Yeah, it's clearer now. What you said about poor quality smart TVs is very true. These guys know that many if not most Nigerians are not tech savvy so they use any gimmick to sell their trash and make huge profits from us. The new selling point now for them is smart features just like phone manufacturers deceived Nigerians with big ram instead of good processors. Having said that, even with a thing budget there are good smart TVs to buy instead of going dumb. My eyes are spoiled already, can never go back to full Hd tvs.

“… just like phone manufacturers deceived Nigerians with big ram instead of good processors”

This got me laughing 😂

My eyes av spoiled too I still prefer TV boxes along with either smart or dumb TV.

Ability to enjoy Netflix and other pay TV without paying is priceless.

No need to fight over this, I believe we all have a thing or two to learn from this topic. Back on track, obviously Tv boxes are the way to go in terms of features. If you check reviews very well, the best 4k Tv for 2023 according to value Electronics king of Tv awards is the Sony A95L. It scored most of its points when all the Tvs were paired to Apple Tv. Native Android apps like YouTube have been proven to look and feel better on Apple Tv and some other Tv boxes compared to the preinstalled apps on smart TVs. But you can't get such amazing experience from Apple Tv when you pair it with some low end or even mid range smart TVs, let alone old fashioned dumb Tvs with mostly HD ready or Full HD displays.
To put this into perspective, you expecting to get good picture quality from dumb Tvs is like someone expecting to get same viewing experience when watching YouTube on a 2016 Full HD IPS LCD Android phone and a 2023 QHD Oled Android phone ( like Samsung galaxy J7 prime versus Samsung galaxy S23 ultra).

I totally get your point and exactly what I intended to put forward before the ‘know too much’ opinion started popping out.

The original discussion was affordability between getting an outright smart TV or going with TV boxes. Someone asking such a question is definitely on a low budget and wanted something smart to enjoy for the moment.

Most of the so-called smart TV brands apart from the well known brands only package normal HD TV with Android TV OS and sell for ridiculous amount.

I have seen it even with the fake LG brand selling on Jumia and Konga.

Instead of getting ripped off it is better to get very good dumb TV and a separate TV box with more scalable features. Even with TV box it doesn’t mean it can’t be paired with a smart TV.

The present TV I own is smart but I refused to use the smart feature cos I prefer my TV box.

What are u even saying,, connect a tv box to 2015 LG tv dummy tv and connect the same tv box to a 2022 Samsung UHD 4k crystal smart tv and using HDMI , you will see the picture different,, because of the tv technology,,
How can u say tv boxes has the same quality on different tvs,
It's the tv that matters mostly bro,

What is stopping u from using a projector suitable for living room,, go and buy it for 2 million na, if u can't afford a normal smart tv,
,

I know ur type. I really do. Who told you I can’t afford a projector?

For me not using smart TV cos it’s a rip off doesn’t mean I can’t afford it. Stop spewing trash in the name of giving opinion.

We are talking about tv pictures quality not android box

TV boxes project their own pictures via HDMI CABLE. TV not being smart doesn’t mean Dey don’t have quality pictures. There are many newer model TVs with no smart features and super great picture quality.

People are even moving away from TVs and using projectors for home entertainment purposes. Do your research!

If you are in tight budget get any good tv and suplimet it with TV Box.
Quality tv box like nvidia shield TV destroys any smart function.
The only downside is not getting 4k resolution and 120hz refresh rate.

I have my Nvidia Shied tv box is up for sale in case you need it.

Why not get a standalone android tv that has everything in-built which is better it also offers screen mirroring , etc with ease, stop thinking like a poor man, , the same money you get and a good tv and the money for a quality box can get you an affordable standalone smart tv,
It's hard to see a 55 inch and above tv new model that is not smart nowadays

…. And it is not hard to see non smart versions of smart TV.

Even if I buy smart TV today I still won’t use the smart feature, I would rather use my Android TV box on it.

That’s the scalability that you can’t find in smart TVs.

MeCool is actually good Infact I prefer it to my xiaomi cos of its 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

There is limitation to stand alone android TV. Memory is low and there will be limitation to amount of apps you can get on it.

I am using xiaomi for office and MeCool for home trust me they are scalable and fast.

lol. Who is thinking like a poor man here! It is only poor man who tries to buy unnecessary things to impress people.

There are many quality TVs out there without the smart feature that are cheaper than the smart ones. Being smart doesn’t mean they have quality. Afterall, every jack and Jill are adding android feature to TV calling it ‘smart’ with high price tag.

Getting an android tv box is the decision for me.

I want to consider options of buying a smart TV or an ordinary TV with a larger screen size.

For example, buying a 50 inch smart TV or buying a 74 inch ordinary TV.
The price would be similar.

I wonder what one is really missing from all the features usually listed out as part of a smart TV. I will like to review user experience, if it's really worth the price or a bigger screen size is the best bet.

Can you rather use AMAZON FIRE tv STICK or such extensions to enjoy some benefits of a smart TV?

Smart TV is not worth it. Trust me.

Get a good screen FHD TV and get quality android TV box (xiaomi or MeCool), Apple TV or Amazon, just make sure it’s not the stick type.

Doing this will save you money and give you scalable features compared to smart TV.

You will thank me later.
