Gptech: â⌠just like phone manufacturers deceived Nigerians with big ram instead of good processorsâ This got me laughing đ My eyes av spoiled too I still prefer TV boxes along with either smart or dumb TV. Ability to enjoy Netflix and other pay TV without paying is priceless. |
Technology Market / Re: Smart TV Advice by lakefist(m): 11:03am On Dec 18, 2023 |
Gptech: I totally get your point and exactly what I intended to put forward before the âknow too muchâ opinion started popping out. The original discussion was affordability between getting an outright smart TV or going with TV boxes. Someone asking such a question is definitely on a low budget and wanted something smart to enjoy for the moment. Most of the so-called smart TV brands apart from the well known brands only package normal HD TV with Android TV OS and sell for ridiculous amount. I have seen it even with the fake LG brand selling on Jumia and Konga. Instead of getting ripped off it is better to get very good dumb TV and a separate TV box with more scalable features. Even with TV box it doesnât mean it canât be paired with a smart TV. The present TV I own is smart but I refused to use the smart feature cos I prefer my TV box. |

Sofistcatdmoron: I know ur type. I really do. Who told you I canât afford a projector? For me not using smart TV cos itâs a rip off doesnât mean I canât afford it. Stop spewing trash in the name of giving opinion. |
Technology Market / Re: Smart TV Advice by lakefist(m): 2:48am On Dec 17, 2023 |
Sofistcatdmoron: TV boxes project their own pictures via HDMI CABLE. TV not being smart doesnât mean Dey donât have quality pictures. There are many newer model TVs with no smart features and super great picture quality. People are even moving away from TVs and using projectors for home entertainment purposes. Do your research! |

Sofistcatdmoron: âŚ. And it is not hard to see non smart versions of smart TV. Even if I buy smart TV today I still wonât use the smart feature, I would rather use my Android TV box on it. |

Thatâs the scalability that you canât find in smart TVs. MeCool is actually good Infact I prefer it to my xiaomi cos of its 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. 1 Like |

Sofistcatdmoron: There is limitation to stand alone android TV. Memory is low and there will be limitation to amount of apps you can get on it. I am using xiaomi for office and MeCool for home trust me they are scalable and fast. |
Technology Market / Re: Smart TV Advice by lakefist(m): 1:46am On Dec 16, 2023 |
Sofistcatdmoron: lol. Who is thinking like a poor man here! It is only poor man who tries to buy unnecessary things to impress people. There are many quality TVs out there without the smart feature that are cheaper than the smart ones. Being smart doesnât mean they have quality. Afterall, every jack and Jill are adding android feature to TV calling it âsmartâ with high price tag. Getting an android tv box is the decision for me. 5 Likes |

IndexMode: Smart TV is not worth it. Trust me. Get a good screen FHD TV and get quality android TV box (xiaomi or MeCool), Apple TV or Amazon, just make sure itâs not the stick type. Doing this will save you money and give you scalable features compared to smart TV. You will thank me later. 5 Likes |

Mindlog: Taking them away only compounds their problem. Those kids ends up doing drugs and rely on government benefits. Bad parenting is really killing their good system. Even though beating is not totally the answer but can be moderated. I still make my kids do punishments for bad behavior. |

GEEBITE: You need to come out of your shell and see beyond your shallow thinking. No Job is easy and abroad every minutes, seconds counts. Even at that you can choose time to work. The problem with our people is that we want to quickly recoup and start sending money home hence picking different shifts and jobs. I have seen people do support work and would tell you all they do is watch service user throughout the night. They still browse the internet and do all sorts of stuffs while at work. At NHS maximum days of working is 4 you have 3 days of rest. So, tell me is this not enough? |
