Please who knows any Italian language school in Lagos |
honourableseyi:Okay |
honourableseyi:Lagos Surulere |
Please who can recommend a good personal german tutor for me ? |
vowsng:Okay thanks for your advice |
mikezuruki:Okay thanks but I've googled and i can't really find much about it,but why do you think i should stick with it |
rawdpiper:Thanks |
Guys please I'm faced with a dilemma I wanted to study architecture but my school gave me surveying and geoinformatics but my problem is i do not know anything about it,I've never heard anything about it and I don't know where the course can take me in nigeria. So should i continue with surveying and geoinformatics or should i write jamb again and switch back to architecture Thank you |
rawdpiper:Yes i have but i don't know the day we'll start lectures because im seeing conflicting information everywhere ,some people are saying 9th while some are saying it started last year when we were having final enrollment |
Guys please I'm faced with a similar dilemma I wanted to study architecture but my school gave me surveying and geoinformatics. So should i continue with surveying and geoinformatics or should i write jamb again and switch back to architecture |
Guys please when do lectures start for engineering students? |
mavenprosper:Please what were the accomplishments your sponsor was required to fufill? |
honourableseyi:My situation is similar to her situation but the school said that I'll do german for my first yearand then I'll cross over to the second year if i pass the DSH exam so i pray the visa would not be a problem The geothe here only teach up to B2 and that's it so i don't know what they want me to do. |
Andyc007:Okay thanks, But how am i supposed to learn up to C2 when the embassy won't allow me to go and do a language course in germany? |
Andyc007:Are you sure about the conditional admission because the school I'm considering in germany said that they can give me conditional admission if i have up to B1(but I'll still learn up to B2 to play safe) and they'll teach me the remaining levels and prepare me for the DSH exam and thats because the geothe in Nigeria teach up to B2 and the requirements for most universities is C2 or TestDaf 4x4(which you can write with B2 but would be really difficult) |
Oildichotomy:From my post which i believe you read,I'm not in support of that illiterate and his team(bunch of clowns)who refuse to find a way to move foward but prefer to play the blame game everytime, but the so called "excuses" you listed if analysed closely are actual facts not excuses. If you list some of the foolish excuses which this government has actually made then i won't question you because your post would make perfect sense. |
Oildichotomy:Don't all this things add up to it and they are not excuses but facts, even though buhari and his economic team got it wrong in so many aspects and policies but you cannot deny the facts you listed . The only point that's debatable is the GEJ claim,GEJ can't take all the blame. All the past Nigerian presidents him and buhari inclusive should be blamed. Read what you wrote again and think it through slowly please. |
This is no argument, most of the private universities are more efficient, faster, more organized, better funded and better managed so the difference is clear in all aspects and all what the OP listed is just flawed .But don't get me wrong even though the type of university you attend would give you an edge but you guys shouldn't forget that it all boils down to the individual and not the school .But in all the quality of education in Nigeria is ZERO,like i mean after all this argument we have no Nigerian university apart from UI (wheter public or whatever) in the Top 1000 universities in the world,so even though private unis are better than their public counterparts they are all still sh*t on the international stage and that's what COUNTS,whats the point of being the best in this always backward never foward third world country like the zoo we live in if you can't even compete internationally and this why people still send most of their Children to better universities abroad if they have the chance, that's why some lecturers in this universities send their children to better universities abroad and that's why most politicians send their children abroad. And OP it's easier to enter the private universities because there is less competition which is mostly due to relatively high fees the students of the private universities are required to pay(which many Nigerians cannot afford so that's why so many consider public ) and not because they are all lazy or whatever. If schools like Babcock and CU and all what not were as cheap as public universities don't you think that the competition to get into them would be higher than that of the top public universities ![]() |
Andyc007:There is no difference between the 100 LVL option and the studienkolleg in terms of Visa or application or anything. The only two advantages with the studienkolleg is that it helps you learn german in an academic environment and it also helps you to adapt to the german system of education which is quite different from the laid-back cookie cutter shit in Nigeria. In my opinion studienkolleg is for you,If your language level is below C1 and your university in germany doesn't have the language programme e.g like the bridge to studies programme BTU cottbus offers,in which you are taught the language for a full academic year before proceeding with your desired course . It's not really compulsory that you follow the studienkolleg route because i heard that it can be quite challenging(based on other people's experiences anyway i haven't been there) and getting admission into one them is another difficult task on it's own.Anyway if you feel that you can cope with all these then go ahead but if not just get your 100lvl certificate and C1 from geothe and you'll be okay. If you have further partaining studies in germany always feel free to contact the international department of the university you are considering. |
rawdpiper:Thanks,im under surveying and geoinformatics engineering |
rawdpiper:Okay thanks, should i staple everything from home or should i just wait and by the way what department are you under? |
rawdpiper:Okay thanks, should i staple everything from home or should i just wait? |
aku626:As regards to question 1 Your application comes first and if you're successfully admitted into your university, you'll have to start your visa application online after you've applied for the visa you need to book an interview date and if you pass the interview process you'll be told to fund your blocked account(you can find more details about this on their website) So basically its School application>>>visa application>>>interview>>>blocked account/sponsorship letter >>>>> means assuming the process is successful As regards to question 2 If you are not financially capable to meet up with their demands on your own then you can look for a sponsor in Germany(he/she can be your uncle/friend/relative or whoever)who would then sign a sponsorship letter(you can find out more details about this on the german embassy's website) N.B* There are certain requirements that your sponsor must fufill before he/she can sign the sponsorship letter.I don't know all of them but i know that he/she must be a german citizen, must earn over 2500 euros(i'm not really sure about the amount but you can check online) and must have a clean criminal record. That's all i know,If you require further assistance contact people on this thread or read through the thread again. |
rawdpiper:Okay thanks should i take the four copies or just one ? can i arrange my documents from home or should i wait till i get there ? |
Guys abeg i have a question: I had a problem with one of the names on my waec result so to rectify that issue I had to get an affidavit. My registration is tomorrow and I've made 4 copies of my affidavit and so my question is : Should i attach my affidavit to my waec result or should i take it to the registration officer separately? Thanks |
I applied for architecture but i couldn't make it so i got Surveying and geoinformatics engineering, please guys my question is it a good course and what are the job prospects Thank you |

honourableseyi:Okay thanks,I'm just about start 100lvl so I'm trying to plan all this things early.Do you attend geothe ? |
Abeg who knows the minimum passing grade and highest grade that Uni-Assist would use to evaluate my transcript.I mailed uniassist but they said that they cannot disclose such information . |
honourableseyi:Thanks |
baggylips:Thanks, abeg is it for all the levels? |
Guys i have a question about geothe, I'm planning to start my BSc in germany via the 100lvl transcript option but i don't know anything in german so I'm going to start lectures at geothe in January but the problem I'm having is that I'm also starting lectures at UNILAG in January too . So my questions are: 1.From experience is it possible to combine the two? 2.are there afternoon or evening classes at geothe? 3.what Nigerian GPA do i need to get into LMU or TU berlin? 4.Can i get up to level in C2 in Nigeria if so how long would its take? Thanks |
