Good morning to the admins here, I have a very big problem at hand now. Since Friday, 22nd of April 2022 that I had my interview and was approved and given the white paper to pick up my passport in 10-Bussiness Days , till this present moment I’m writing you going by tracking with ceac.state.gov, I’m yet to receive my passport. My case statues yet to change from Ready to Issue not to talk of picking up. I went all the way to DHL @ Victoria-Island twice yet they ask me to wait for the pickup notification mail.. I called & E-mail US Embassy on several occasions twice a week since then but it’s same old story, likewise LagosIV@state.gov, including support-Nigeria@ustraveldocs.com. Still not good news. What do I do ?? Any help

This came as a big shock to a friend whose document was completed and I drove him to the embassy on his appointment date. They have a good joint sponsor but maybe if the Question of how and where does she get money to foot her bills and rent as a retiree and also how was she able to sponsor her trip down to Nigeria ?? Maybe if he said it was a collective effort by both party maybe the interviewer would be a bit reasonable before denying… it really shock me too cos none of us expected this but always prepared for the unexpected some interviewer can be very friendly and jovial and pray against meeting a sadist for an Interviewer .. *My1Cent*

This is an Expo I’m giving u that might been required on the last day …! Get prepared with a simple and straight answer to that cos the is was what disqualified a friend of mine cos the Question came as a shock to him after all his papers have been completed.

Firstly go and understand very well how he/she was able to raise money to come down to Nigeria and also know how convenient it was for him/her to meet up with bills/rent …! E get why.

I have written both LagosNIV & LagosIV for May passport status update but yet no response pls you can help me with their email both maybe write them first thing tomorrow morning also …. House please I needed advice on what needed to be done:
I had my interview on Friday 22nd Of April 2022 , I was given the white paper after been approved and was told to pick up my passport at Dhl office in 10-Bussiness Days, Till now I have check my status online and keep tracking my passport till date it’s showing ready since then. I’ve even been to DHL office @ V.I twice to check if my passport is there But they told me it hasn’t been brought down that I should expect mail from Dhl to pick up my passport. I & my fiancée have also called the Embassy both In Nigeria & Right there in America �� it’s same response that we should wait till we receive response from the Embassy through mail. It’s over a month now going to 2-months now is this normal ?? Cos I’m begging to get scared and fed up after this long wait before now. Your swift responds will sincerely be appreciated ���

At the car park where I parked One of them walk up to me in their small bussiness centre to show you some outdated printout paste on their wall . Was shows one CGI visa fee transaction receipt for proof of visa fee receipt. I showed him the GTB bank receipt from my bank only for them to start Editing one useless page. I now told the guys how much is this he is doing he said retrieving of receipt from CGI Portal is #15,000 (immediately I swear for him that for this LASGIDI wey we gather Dey ?? I just vex commot. Walked down to the Queue at the Embassy FrontYard. We are call to line up and we are giving a contact shit to fill, then we were call in by our number I was No. 19
I call by a black lady Naija I guess on table 18 handed a slip on how to arrange the documents and she took my document’s and added the ones she needed to the file already sent to them by NVC then i was later asked to sit down and l would be called upon by my No. 19 . I was later all by a white man.

Congratulations to you!!! Am not sure but I think you can fill your ds160 and as well start looking out for interview dates before booking medicals and your police document required (other people who have gone before us have better knowledge of this aspect) The portal was open up on till yesterday morning but I don't know if it has closed now. Once I get updates about the portal being open, I will alert you as well.

Pls what’s the website to book appointment for Interview and how do I know which hospital to go for medicals & at what stages does this have to come in ?? On the Case Tracker page it’s written that INTERVIEW Date was Provided to me by the National Visa Centre how do I get that ??

Guys, NVC forwarded so many months in 2021 to the Embassy today!!! I have seen from February to September already, you guys at NVC stage from last year 2021 should check ASAP!!! @lakeside @ezinwajesus

Infact I’ve seen mine in transit already Ooo!! And my fiancée has already receive mail. So now what do I get myself doing now ? How soon does this Letters get down here in Nigeria and what is expected of us to be getting ready to do in advance before it arrives ?

With the joy that fills my heart now I’m glad to tell the whole house that my case status has shown in transit and the following is the mail sent to my fiancée Email on what next to be done. firstly I have filled out DS-160 form since January or February I think and I projected my expected travel date to April. My Question goes thus. Do I need to refil another DS-160 and going by the link (http://nvc.state.gov/k1) what is expected of me and where do I get information on the medical, police character & Birth certificate from ??

This issue RFE May seems to be like starting afresh to you but I bet you it’s just another means for you to revalidate your previous papers. Thanks to my brother who helped on mine and my other friend who he helped to tidied it up now In US on a spouse visa Basis. … I also got RFE then too after a long wait but when you make that move you will find it interesting provided your petitioner is not scared to release those vital documents like Bank Statements, IRS, Tax Paper, More Picture Evidence properly arranged and explained briefly … mostly writers know how to make it captivating to the reader.

What is difficult in applying for a visa from the Nigeria Embassy ...why do we always think and like doing things in our own way just because we feel it could work in Nigeria....

This was what I did after consulting an immigration officer when my fiancée was coming from the states to Nigeria after she got her passport there. I could remember my immigration officer who works at Muritala Mohammed Intl airport said they use to do it base on trust cos most youth here will bring them in and lodge them in the hotel to scam them and we paid to apply for visa on arrival and he was even the one who monitored her from the arrival wings and brought her out to me at the Entrance gate of the Arrival wing. What you don’t know is what you don’t know. I’m speaking from my experience it doesn’t mean I cut corners Ok “.

It is not.............my american fiancee who just left nigeria last month applied for a Nigerian Visa from the Nigerian Consulate Newyork and she got the Visa less than two weeks of applying and it was valid for 3-years multiple entries

Who is going to notify us when case will be ready ?? Is it USCIS Case Tracker app that has stated case approved that will still show wether case is ready ?? Or NVC it’s self will send a mail to show if status is ready !??

Hello All. My brother's fiance (US citizen) filed for a fiance visa on September 20 for my brother. Receipt was acknowledged on September 23, 2021 and a Receipt number (starting with WAC....) was sent via text message. Till date, no case number or anything. We used the receipt to track on this website, - https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do - and "Case was received" message acknowledging the receipt of the petition was displayed.

Is this normal? How soon does it take to get a case number or is the receipt number the same as case number? January 23, 2022 will make the 4th month and nothing has been heard. Can someone with a similar experience please responsd.

Good day house, My fiancée called the NVC Yesterday and she was given the case Number and an invoice number. The Case Number begins with LSG********. And the invoice number I tried to track it but to my surprise it only tracked under IMMIGRANT VISA instead of Tracking Under NON Immigrant Visa. what does this implies and for those who got ready is it and things it’s showing at your end ?
