The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has withdrawn the registration certificate of Ohanaeze Ndigbo General Assembly, the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), and other socio-cultural groups in Nigeria. A Member of the Kaduna Assembly representing Kagarko Constituency in the Kaduna House of Assembly, Mr Nuhu Shadalafiya, test positive for Covid-19. The Osun State Government has announced that the MKO Abiola International Airport in Ido Osun has been taken over by new investors. The State’s Commissioner for Works and Transportation, Remi Owowaiye, made this known during the weekend at the Ministerial Press Conference organised by the Ministry of Information and Civic Orientation. Omowaiye recalled that in 2018, an ex-governor of Osun state, Rauf Aregbesola said some investors had showed interest in the project. He also recalled that the concession agreement entered with AWOL International Limited, a private consultancy firm, on the project had failed. Lady identified as @Blaqrionna tonifentyy on a microblogging site Twitter has stirred controversy after she shared four pictures of different Ex-boyfriends of hers who died after they broke, respectively. She, however, identified the four guys by their twitter handles @Flyhenderson, @igb_von, and @wait4_dabuss, while the last boyfriend had no Twitter handle. After confirming the death, our correspondent gathered that indeed all three on twitter were confirmed dead. Zindzi Mandela, the youngest daughter of late South African president Nelson Mandela, who died a few days back at the age of 59, has been reported to have tested positive for COVID-19. She died in a Johannesburg hospital in the early hours of Monday morning, public broadcaster SABC said. Her son, Zondwa Mandela, confirmed that she tested positive to COVID-19 before her demise. It was learned that suspects had earlier abducted a man identified as Ereba Dinabari on Friday, May 5, 2020, at Woji, Port Harcourt and demanded a ransom and collected N1m, but the victim was never released. The suspected kidnappers were identified as, Osundu Uchendu, 25, and Amebulem Amos, 23. Operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, Police who carried out the operation also recovered a vehicle belonging to the victim. Enugu state police have arrested a Nigeria based Ghanaian man, Emmanuel Opoku, who allegedly poured hot water on his lover’s, Chiamaka Ngwu (25) breast. It was gathered that the incident happened at their home in Akuke-Awkunanaw, Enugu. The 28-year-old man was arrested after a petition was raised against him on July 10 by the Women Aid Collective (WACOL). It was learned that the suspect and his lover have been together for over three years and have had three children together but were not legally married. The Ekiti State Government on Wednesday announced the change in resumption of students in graduating classes at both public and private schools from July 20 to Aug. 3. The Commissioner for Education, Mr Foluso Daramola, gave this new date during a media chart in Ado-Ekiti. Daramola said that the South-West states held virtual meeting where each state was told to plan for resumption of school. A Nigerian man identified on Twitter as Savn Daniel has cried out for justice for a 14-year-old girl identified as Princess Micheal whose vagina was allegedly burnt with a lighter by her madam, one Mrs. Yemi Awolola. According to Daniel, the victim’s father had taken her to the house of Mrs. Yemi who is a deaconess at Living Faith Church, Barnawa, and lives in the Barnawa area of Kaduna State in June 2019. It all started few months after Princess started staying with her, her father called to speak with his daughter and was told he could only speak with her in English, intentionally knowing that her dad could only communicate in his dialect. However, the inhumane attitude didn’t stop until Mrs. Yemi allegedly burnt the girl’s vagina with a lighter, and she and her pastor had covered up the case. A French bus driver who was badly beaten by passengers after asking them to wear face masks in line with coronavirus rules has died, his family said. His death has sparked tributes from political leaders who condemned his “cowardly” attackers. Philippe Monguillot, 59, was left brain dead by the attack in the south-western town of Bayonne last weekend and died in hospital on Friday, his daughter Marie said after his family decided to switch off his life-support system. “We decided to let him go. Ogun State announces the delivery of a pregnant woman, who tested positive for COVID-19 at one of its hospitals. The Ogun State Commissioner for Health, Tomi Coker, confirmed this in a statement on Wednesday. Coker noted that workers had to put their lives at risk for the baby girl’s delivery as the 28-year-old woman was asymptomatic. The home of Popular veteran actor, Mr. Ajirebi Kayode Olasehinde, AKA Pa James, has been flooded after a torrential downpour of rain in Lagos. Ekohotblog learned that the flood submerged the home of Pa James at Oke Isagun Community of Oke Odo LGA was caused after a nearby canal had overflown its bank into the area causing damage to his neighbours’ homes as well. The report says this is not the first the flood is affecting him and his household. In the last rainy season, in 2019, Pa James’s house was reportedly taken over by flood. Ebonyi State COVID-19 death cases hit six as the state records three new cases. The state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Daniel Umezuruike, made the announcement on Tuesday during a meeting of the state Anti-COVID-19 Task Force at the Old Government House, Abakaliki, Dr. Umezuruike confirmed that the state has a total of 508 confirmed cases, and have discharged about 426 patients. Ten senior police officers have been relieved of the jobs while eight have been demoted from their rank by the Police service Commission. The Head, Press and Public Relations, Mr Ikechukwu Ani, made the announcement, and noted that it was decided upon at the commission’s Eight Plenary meeting. Osun state government have announced that it has discharged twenty-one patients from its isolation centre and have confirmed thirteen new COVID-19 cases. The Osun State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Rafiu Isamotu, revealed this in a statement on Monday evening in Osogbo. The commissioner, also announced that the discovery of 13 new cases of coronavirus brings the total number of cases in the State to 178 with 87 active cases. In preparation for the forthcoming Ondo State governorship election, the Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the names of it’s screening, appeals committees. It was gathered that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), had scheduled Ondo state election for October 10, 2020. Ekohotblog learned that amid election, the APC had commenced moves as it set to conduct it’s screening exercise today July 7, 2020. The party, on Monday, made the announcement, noting that the screening will commence at precisely 2 pm at the APC national secretariat in Ondo state. Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday announced a “phased reopening” of the country, with the resumption of international flights from August 1 as well as the lifting of internal travel restrictions. The move comes as pressure mounts to kickstart the country’s ailing economy after nearly four months of coronavirus restrictions that have devastated key industries such as tourism. A magistrate court sitting in Enugu State on Monday has ordered that the guardian, Mr Jude Ozougwu and Ifeoma who pierced a nail into the head of a 10-year-old Nneoma Nnadi be remanded in the state’s correctional centre.
