Literature / I Have A Tale by lalaponcus(m): 7:31am On Dec 03, 2020
MO NI ITAN (I Have A Tale)

I have a tale!
A tale of how God pulled up and saved me from the crazy ghetto of sin.
Into His Rolls Royce, He urged me to enter;
Not minding the jeers and taunts of people that called Him "blind and foolishly merciful"

Mo ni itan, ore mi
A tale of how God saved me from the sweet embrace of the bottle.
The labels held me in highest esteem;
Star tagged me their star customer
Legend tagged me their legendary number one.
Life promised me supplies of their best bottles for life
Origin hailed my origins and for being original.
The labels kept me in their firm embrace;
And I drank like a fish till my eyes bloated.
But God pulled up.
Hallelujah, in His convertible of mercy He came and urged me to enter despite my reeking of piss and vomit.

I have a tale!
A tale of the way God rescued me from the embrace of strange women.
They kept me in their dungeons, my friend.
With soft spoken promises of 'a good time,' they stripped me of every dime I had.
With soft spoken promises of 'a better time,' they convinced me to secure loans that threatened the future of my kids.
With their seductive poses, they enthroned themselves as my new deity.
And I worshipped.
Daily, I brought my offerings of physical strength to satisfy their cravings
Daily, I offered my emotional energies as a living sacrifice to fuel their demands.
Daily, I did their bidding with chains bound around my neck.
Like nama,
I was being led to the abattoir without my knowledge.
Until Jesus pulled up!
Into His Mistibushi pickup, He led me after paying the fee for my freedom.
Though I kicked at His head a few times, He refused to stop loving me.

Mo ni itan oo
A tale of how God helped me discard the mascara of disguise I relied on.
I was addicted to the pain, friends.
Addicted to the daily application of mascara to hide the tear streaks on my face.
Addicted to hiding the bruise life dealt on me.
Addicted on the little lines of coke my friends provided to help numb the pain.
Addicted on the noise people called songs, secretly wishing the artists would infuse life within their lyrics.
I was broken and addicted.
Until Jesus pulled up!
Into His ferrari of joy, He nudged me to enter.
Ignoring the taunts of people and driving me to the heavenly Harolds.
Oh, He went all out for me.
Giving me the credit card of His name for me to shop for all kinds of joy.
Jewelries of favour, He placed on my neck.
Fur coats of peace, He bought for me to ward off the cold of trouble.

I have an amazing tale to tell the world!
Do you?

Religion / On Quiet Time by lalaponcus(m): 6:57am On Nov 10, 2020
So I awake
And rise to my chair to begin my daily knocking.
Daily knocking on Heaven's gates to see the face of my owner.
Daily cooing my love panegyrics into the ears of Jesus who saved me.
Daily waiting to hear the instructions olowo-ori (my husband) will give to me.
For I am now recognise the futility of living without strategic daily instructions.

So, anyways, there Bashorun was.
Singing but just worried.
Praying but feeling a tug of war in my mind
Silent in body but restless in the spirit.

The problem was the 'cares of the world'

It was simple.
One minute my mind was focused on God, the next it would turn to the 2000 words essay I was to turn in that day.
One minute I was praying for my teens, the next my mind is thinking of the Canadian visa nairaland thread and the many tales of woe of Nigerians.
One minute I was praying for God to bless nwanyi achala ugo'm (omo re bi iyan) and the next my mind is thinking about the lands I am yet to buy at 28.
One minute I was praying for the widows and orphans, and the next, I am thinking about the 'Aspire to Inspire' motivatio...

Arrgghhh
These diversions vexed me deeply, my people.
These little puny 'cares' that don't matter in the grand scheme of eternity really vexed me.

And I know they vex you, too.
I know you sometimes grow impatient in the place of prayers.
I know you sometimes involuntarily
chuckle when the pastor urges daily quiet time of 2 hours with God.

You think, "2 hours praying and reading for this Naija wey I dey so?"
"2 hours to sing when I need to be on the road by 4am to avoid Lagos traffic?"

See, my person, Bash knows.
But he has also learnt,
That no matter how much 'responsibilities' are on you today, they will still remain if you fall down dead this minute.
That the ephemeral (short-lived) things always seem to matter but do NOT matter in the grand plan of your destiny.
That the quality time spent knocking on Heaven's gate should not be classified as waste.
That the quiet time is the most productive period of the day as God's spirit really ministers to yours.

See eh,
Broda mi
Sister mi
Aunty mi
Hunku mi
Let's return to cherishing the personal time we spend with God daily.
Not mentally scheduling these moments to a particular day of the week or a coming church conference.

Ire o.
I have delivered the message God dropped in my spirit for you today

In Cashflow Quadrant, Robert Kiyosaki said in order to succeed at any business, you need Three Es in the right order below

1 Education

2 Experience

3 Excessive cash

The same is applicable to domain name business. if you don't have basic education together with experience, you cannot make enough cash in the long haul.

Assuming it costs you $5 to acquire a domain name, you have spent $30 on reg spree, a tad over 12k.

That amount is enough to acquire basic knowledge of the business from the op and reg two good geo domain names.

With this your reg spree bro, you have proven to me that if a person thinks Education is expensive, let him try ignorance .

And what makes you think I am not trying to learn through this platform and Namepros. Ultimately, the path to excellence means getting through a few hiccups and these are mine. You don't have to sound so haughty in your analysis. Peace!

Career / Motivation To Fuel Your Day by lalaponcus(m): 8:48am On Aug 24, 2020
Kaaro, eyin omo oba
Good morning, little cubs of the royal Pride.

It's your loyal parrot reporting here again.
Your loyal Bashorun who circles the skies and looks upon various realms.
Over the realms of the spirit, God gives him the strength to glide.
Over the realms of the physical, God gives him the power to survey.
Over the realm of social media, God provides him the data to check.

Nle o, omo oba
Sometimes, I see you straying a bit far from the pride of your father
Tempted by the seemingly big buffaloes of sin.

Sometimes, I see your little puffed up self walking into the hyena territories.
Moments when you discarded your fellow cubs and ignore the express commands of your dear father, the king.

Sometimes, I see you struggling in the hunt.
Trying fruitlessly to capture the numerous gazelles of opportunities that abound closeby.
Then you weep and utter your tiny roar which the gazelles mock while attempting to kick you in the head.

Omo oba gbera dide!
Go home to tell daddy about your struggles.
After all, what good is there if you keep crying here by the pool of Bethesda.

Go home and carry daddy along for the hunt.
Let's see if those gazelles will have the temerity to laugh when they hear Daddy's roar.

Go home and let daddy groom you for kingdom takeovers.
For He has pulled numerous successful invasions just with the sound of his roar.

Omo oba, I can tell you this for free.
Baa re, your daddy sent me to deliver this message.

Oya ma pada lo le.
Start returning home dear one

Ile laabo isinmi oko.
Home is the place of rest from the rigors of work

Family / Leaving Generational Standards by lalaponcus(m): 7:46am On Aug 13, 2020
(Inspired by Sola Allyson)

Dearest ones
Set generational standards of faith by breaking certain negative traits, trends, prejudices, and preconditionings.

Consciously do these daily so your seed (to the fourth generation) will remember and bless your name even when you are with the holy saints in heaven.

Religion / IMOLE DE- A Poem For The Broken by lalaponcus(m): 7:35am On Aug 05, 2020
IMOLE DE
Inspired by MIV choir's rendition of Dunsin Oyekan's masterpiece.

He was broken beyond despair.
Crawling on the road of life after being battered by the robbers of disappointment.

His was 30
Yet his hair all white from stressful living.

Relatives hated his guts because he dared.
Dared to aspire to fly in a lineage where running was unimaginable.
Dared to find love in the arms of Jesus while the family's sigidis (effigy) desired him for priesthood.

His relatives truly hated his guts, my friend.
For he wanted to be fruitful in a land where barreness was celebrated with much pomp and pageantry.

And so they sent for 'okunkun' (darkness)
Shook their death wands and beat the drums of madness for the young bloke.
Oh, they did more.
His 10 names which he never knew rolled down sweetly from their tongue as they stood before their mirrors.

Okunkun came.
Along with legion beasts, darkness invaded the man.
Grey vultures of depression feasted on him day and night.
The wolves of sicknesses, dark as the night, gnawed at his bones while their howls overshadowed his screams.
The rats of poverty nibbled at his belongings and feet all night.
The hyenas of disappointment aimed for his tender thighs and took generous bites.

His life was a cesspool.
Of brain and blood spattered around.
Of virtue and precious resources carted away.
Of wails and guttural groaning uttered from a dying man.
Of laughs and champagne glass chinking by delighted dark foes.

..
...
....

A tiny voice was heard as okunkun feasted.

..
...
....

The voice became a roar and a blinding light accompanied it.

Imole de!
Light had come.
The lion that owns Judah had come for His cub.
The Physician who resided in Gilead had come to save His patient.
The Prince, whom the broken man called 'Abba', had come!

Darkness fled.
Okunkun ran with its tail shrunken within its legs.
Its friends cried in death induced pain at the blinding lights and Abba's presence.
For the Lion had lunged for their jugulars and snapped them clean off.

For you, dear reader.

Imole de!
Wisdom has come.
To every confusing reality, light has come!
To every crooked knot defying solutions, lighthascome!

Ayo re ti de!
To every broken one, the balm of joy has come.
To the 'agan' (barren), life is being activated in your womb.
To every destitute, your daddy, the real Baba Olowo, has come.
To those in need of connect, your omnipresent daddy is whispering your name in those exalted boardrooms.

To those seeking victory, your papa don show!
Ajagun ma lo ada ti de!
Aja ma yin ibon ti de!
The Olusegun has shown with His own army.

With chariots and heavy looking machine guns, papa don show
With heavy Uzis and millions of nuclear powered aircraft carriers, your papa don show
With billions of nuclear bombs and impregnable submarines, daddy don show!

So, bring your hand to your chest.
Tap it once and say
"Ayo mi ti de!"
(My joy has come)

Tap it twice and say,
'Imole mi ti de!'
(My light has come)

Tap it trice and say,
"Daddy don show!'

For this is the confidence we have in God.
That when we ask anything according to His will, He will hear.
Yes.
God will hear. And come speedily to save.
