Politics / Re: State House Press Release On The New Acting IGP MD Abubakar by Lalaska(m): 7:44am On Jan 26, 2012 |
Ive got a few observations on the appointment of MD Abubakar and the formation of a police reform committee headed by PSC chairman - Osayande. 1. Abati said the committee’s recommendations “shall be implemented along with those by previous committees set up by government on the reform of the police”. Yet a previous recommendation indicted the man you have appointed Acting IG and also recommended him for retirement. How are we sure you will implement the recommendations by this committee? 2. I have 2 points against the appointment of Osayande to head the committee to reform the police - "Osayande, it will be recalled, presided over the PSC to rubberstamp the dismissal of former chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Malam Nuhu Ribadu, from the police." and "PSC, under Osayande, also reinstated Mr. Zakari Biu to the police and promoted him to Commissioner of Police (CP) last year. Biu is currently on suspension over Sokoto’s escape from under his watch as CP in charge of criminal investigations, Zone 7." This bring to question the competence of Osayande to deliver based on precedence". 3. Why appoint someone that was in charge of Bauchi - a crisis prone area, where under his leadership, we are still experiencing periodic bombings and has not demonstrated capacity to curtail BH? If he did not handle BH in Bauchi, how can he handle BH in Nigeria? I wonder how these people think, God save Nigeria |

Sports / Re: CAF Champions League & Confed. Cup 2011 - News, Fixtures And Results by Lalaska(m): 7:06pm On Sep 18, 2011 |
It ended Kaduna United 0: Club Africaine 1 at the Kaduna Township stadium this afternoon. This result eliminates kaduna united from the CAF Confederations Cup. Interclube of Angola and Club Africaine go through to the semi finals. These guys are not serious. How could they lose such a critical game at home when needed a win to qualify? Better luck next time. |

Sunshine Stars of Akure are through to the Semi finals of the CAF Confederations Cup. The feat was achieved after the team pipped JS Kabyle of Algeria 1:0 at the Ijebu Ode stadium today. The goal came in the early minutes of the game by star striker Ajani Ibrahim who now has four goals in the competition. The other Nigerian representative in the competition Kaduna United will square up against Club Africaine of Tunisia on Sunday 18th of September 2011. |

This is not a fantastic result at all. The Camerounians need only a goal to win this. This is not good enough. We had the opportunity to seal this in Abuja. We cant afford to miss the AAG and the Olympics |

Thank God we won. However the boys were not quite fantastic on the night. Particularly. Ahmed Musa ruined so many chances. Passes were not quite accurate and chances were not really perfect. They still need to up their game against France. Anyways congrats. |

Politics / Re: Okorocha Begins Delivery Of Free Kerosene In Imo State by Lalaska(m): 8:59am On Aug 09, 2011 |
I admire Rochas and his desire to end poverty in Imo state. However, governance does not entail charity. This is simply giving people fish and not teaching the people to fish. How long can free kerosine be sustained? What happens when he leaves office. I expect sustainable policies and institutions that would outlive him and impact the living standards of the people. |
Romance / Re: Unbelieveable! I Am Still A Virgin At 24! by Lalaska(m): 8:05pm On Jul 17, 2011 |
ok. i'm compelled to make a comment here. I just clocked 28 and I can boldly say by the Grace of God I'm still a virgin. Ive asked God to help me keep myself until marriage. This is the greatest wedding gift i intend to give my spouse and moreso marriage is honorable unto all and the bed undefiled. This is my greatest achievement by the Grace of God |
