They tell Nigerians to endure the hardship, it will soon be over. Yet they themselves do not endure nothing. They buy exorbitant cars for themselves, renovate their existing buildings or even build new residences for themselves, maintain a large fleet of vehicles and presidential jets, share monies to themselves (ie the National Assembly) etc The biggest problem of Nigeria and hindrance to her development are these clueless, selfish and self centered bunch of politicians |
If he was not good enough to be your vice president in 2023 why should he be good to be president on 2027? These people will say anything to get votes. Vote #Obidatti2023 |
How can a Canadian program ask you for currency in US dollar? Please check again |
oshdot:Yeah, their Q3 earnings were really bad hence the free fall. I would say cut your losses and move on because it will properly not get that high any time soon. |
Nnamz:I was thinking about the same thing. This thread has been spammed by YOK. I recall when I first joined this thread last year. We talked about our individual experiences on buying and selling stocks. I actually started trading US stocks as a result of conversations from this thread. I returned here after some time off and honestly do not find this thread interesting anymore. YOK, if you could please stop posting those messages so people can post their individual experiences, it will more helpful. Thank you. |
Thats how Obaseki retired Oshiomole from Nigeria politics. Thats interesting. |
Time to buy mhen. Market is down. Hold and do not sell, i repeat do not fall for the temptation to sell. |
He is Buhari's 'son' and lest you forget. There's no Covid in kogi |
Millenniumlady:Please note the above |
I struggled to read your poor English. It's interesting to know you went to study and still write this badly. All the best. |
seakomol:It is called day trading. See below https://www.google.com/amp/s/business.financialpost.com/personal-finance/stop-using-your-tfsa-to-frequently-trade-stocks-the-cra-may-see-it-as-business-income/amp |
Sold my Netfllix this morning after reaching their 52 week high @$440. I bought it on Monday @$383. We are making gradual progress. i want to do a mix of long term stocks (e.g. Apple and Canadian big 6 banks) and short term stocks (e.g. Tesla, Netflix). I cant do alot of trading in my tax free account not to incur the wrath of the taxman. Maybe Ill open another account that's taxable just for day to day trading. |
lafuria1:Thanks. I see it's less volatile than Tesla. |
I want to buy apple at the current price. What do you guys think? |
Interesting story for me. I have been observing Tesla shares for a while. When it went down to 450 a second time, I quickly put funds together to buy unfortunately, it went up 560, before my trading account willl get credited. It takes 5 business days to get funds credited. I couldn't therefore buy the planned quantity. I was waiting for it to go down again until last Friday when it closed at 573. I still didn't buy until Monday when I finally went in at 598. Biting my self hard now but glad I bought yesterday as it is now around $735. |
Ndipe:Certainly not the same. Don't know what you're talking about |
abuabdullah:Not yet convinced about this one. Will wait. |
OakPearl:Thank you for your encouraging words. I watched Tesla fall to $450 some weeks back and was biting my fingers because I was kept on waitlist for some weeks due to high volume and could not trade. Glad that it's here again. It's such a volatile stock that it can determine the overall shape of one's portfolio. It's going to be a fun ride with this one. |
YerYer:This is one stock on my radar. I'll just observe from a distance first before I jump in. |
YerYer:Thanks. I use my retirement savings plan for the ETF but have now switched my Tax Free Savings plan (TFSA) for trading which means I will not be taxed for every gain I make in this account however the tax authorities frowns against day to day trading and can slam you with hefty taxes of they realise you are actively trading. My strategy is really long term and I'm even motivated to buy Tesla seeing they were at over $900 in Feb and you even went in at over $800, that means the price now is at a huge bargain. |
Hi everyone, I read through all the pages here and developed keen interest in trading US and Canadian stocks. I live in Canada but haven't bothered to trade myself since I use roboadvisors to purchase ETFs. I have now bought a few stocks and I'm monitoring others. Thanks for all your contributions in this thread. Meanwhile I'm thinking of buying a few Tesla shares. What do you guys think? |
Let's even say the car is real. How's buying a car an achievement? The things we value in this country amaze me. This is the only country that people just show up with something and you can't trace what they do or how they made money to get it. We need a societal reorientation. Buying a car is not an achievement. How many lives have you impacted positively? |
Super happy for my second team Madrid tonight. I hope they win the title. |
Always very reactive and looking for how to extract money from citizens at all costs. They should have a system in place to track which buildings have permits or not. I'm also thinking what measure are in place for staff of the department that issue wrong (unauthorised permits)? Visiting construction sites to harass people is a very crude way of ensuring compliance. |
Amr Fahmy, former secretary general of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), has died after a protracted illness. Fahmy’s death was announced on Sunday by the confederation on its official Twitter handle. He died at the age of 36. “We would like to express our deepest condolences on the passing of former CAF General Secretary Amr Famy who passed away on Sunday, 23 February 2020, in Cairo, Egypt, after a short illness,” said a statement issued by CAF statement. “It is with great deal of sadness and emotions that we received the shock news. “On behalf of CAF, we extend our deepest condolences to his family especially his parents, his spouse and daughter. “Our thoughts are with you at this difficult moment, and may God have mercy on his soul.” Amr was not the first member of his family to serve in the CAF. Mourad Fahmy, his grandfather, and Moustafa Fahmy, his father, also served as general secretaries from 1961 to 1982 and from 1982 to 2010 respectively. Fahmy was appointed as CAF’s secretary general in November 2017, replacing Moroccan Hicham El Amrani. He spent barely two years in office before he was sacked after he accused Ahmad Ahmad, president of CAF, of bribery and misuse of funds. Mouad Hajji of Morocco would later replace him as the secretary general of CAF. https://www.thecable.ng/amr-fahmy-ex-sg-of-caf-dies-at-36 |
Disgusting |
How did you get the money? |
Abba Kyari is the real president. Baba Buhari is just a front. |
You see these people don dey craze. What is the purpose of that commission? When Oronsanye report recommended reducing the number MDAs, these ones want to create more. Just looking of how to squander the already scarce resources. There is already NE development commission which we dont dont know what they've achieved with all the funds provided to them. |
Yeee. This is a shocker. I never experrrrred it. How will Jonathan feel now |
Where will all these RELIGION and TRIBAL shenanigans lead us to in this nation?! The same way some were complaining that Jona's government was filled with Christians and Southerners. Where has this led us to as a nation since 1960? Did Jona as the President provided something so basic as WATER to all the Local government in Bayelsa for 6 years he was the Numero Uno? (The state with the fewest LG in Nigeria!) Or did OBJ construct Lagos to Ibadan Expressway in 8 years despite coming from the West? Anyways........ We have learnt not to bother ourselves anymore to avoid unnecessary arguements with nonentities As some of us have said, it's good governance we want, even if only one village will be producing the Presidents or those that will make our darling nation move forward. So be it.. Ka Chineke mezie okwu
So is this good governance or is this nation moving forward? Call a spade what it is pls |
olaboy33:Thanks for this. I always thought he was the same person as the JAMB person. |
