Because as a person with a sponsor, the visa officer should already know that the student is not financially responsible for themselves

At Nigeria airport they even check it again at Cairo ask people that used Egypt sue recently

There’s nothing about this on their website. I had only made the payment of 1k for the deposit.

So I have to pay for the total term even when the school is yet to finalize?

Not really if the school accepts deposits you can just show them the deposit receipt . But you not paying full school fees might prompt them too ask for proof of fund at point of entry not everyone is asked try asking people who used Egypt air recently

Yes, the dude asked for an address and called for verification after checking online and not satisfied, the guy even checked all previous visas on all pages of current passport and previous passports on the UV light.

till August and he September he moves to oakville for his studies.

First of all, I’d like to return all glory back to God almighty for his mercy over me throughout all the processes. So the journey story: My boarding at mmia Lagos was a smooth one because I work at the airport as government officials before my resignation. The airline (Egypt air) checkin staffs request for Acceptance/ offer letter, evidence of payment of tuition, visa, and I was equally asked to login into my student portal. After confirming all, we boarded about 1400 hours and landed at Cairo at about 2000 hours. We were lodged into hotel at Cairo about 0230 hours next day and we were to wake up 0400 hours as checkin begins 0600 hours to fly to Toronto.Meanwhile ,the same process of confirmation of studentship also played out at Cairo airport. The students were asked to show acceptance letter, payment of tuition fee and to also login to our respective school portal. Some of the prospective students we traveled together had issues here as they were not expecting repetition of all the checks. However the 12 hours flight from Cairo to Toronto started about 0900 hours and we landed in Toronto about 1300 hours local time. Immediately we landed, everyone proceeded to arrive can checkin, I scanned my passport and the machine printed a slip for me. I proceeded to Canada border security agents CBSA where I was asked if I came in with fish or meat. I was later directed to a counter where they do attend to student. I met a long queue and I was on the queue for about 1 hour until my turn. The officer that attended to me asked me the name of the school am going and I told him. He asked if I have made any payments to the school and I showed him receipts of the payment I made. After inputting some details into his computer, he told me to sit down for my student permit.

I want to use this medium to still encourage Nigerians that may be interested in traveling through the students route not to be discouraged. It’s not that difficult at the point of entry as some people here have painted. Note that I will be starting my program during the fall sept and I have entered 2 months before the program. When you get to the entry point, be calm, don’t be tense, answer the questions the officer asked politely and it will come through. I appreciate all the info I got from Nairaland. All our dealings will end in praises. Shalom

Actually insisted my passport should be stamped the guy smiled and said no it’s not done like that anymore.

My brother starts in September and entered Canada 30th of June hassle free. Currently with me here in Canada. He flew with airfrance.

Most hotels, either in Canada or elsewhere, will allow you to pay during check-in, which is okay, but what you really need to look at is the cancellation policy because they will charge your card even if you don't show up at the end of the day.

For no-call, no-show, some hotels will charge you for the first night, but some will charge for the entire duration.

Read the cancellation policy before you book any hotel. Let's say the hotel allows you to pay at the property, and your check-in time is 2 p.m. on July 7. The cancellation policy might want you to cancel a day or two before that check-in date of July 7 for you not to be charged.

You have too pay your first semester full fees within a month after you are given admission the deadline would be stated on the admission letter if you don’t pay within due date your admission would be canceled only option is too defer too another entrance which will add a small fee on your fees

I have recently gathered all my documents for application to Seneca College in Toronto, Canada
A lot of persons have tried to discourage me that since it is a college, denial from the embassy is on a high side. However,I choose not to believe this.

I would also like to know if i should apply for a one year program or a two years program. Furthermore, What are my chances of getting a PR if i eventually opt in for a one year program while getting a one year PGWP?

Lastly, when is the appropriate time to apply for a January 2024 intake? Thanks

Completely false I have my visa approved with Seneca admission

Just make reservations, you don’t need to pay for it. If you’ll pay make sure it’s one you can cancel incase you don’t eventually like it.

I tried making reservations on Airbnb for Toronto cause my school is in Toronto but I have free accommodation for like 2 months in Edmonton before my program starts then I will have too return too Toronto by September.
So the issue is that my flight is 7th I get to Toronto 8th through Egypt air but when I try making reservation for an Airbnb in Toronto so I can use the address for immigration incase am asked at point of entry cause I don’t want to give them Edmonton address so it won’t look suspicious cause my school is in Toronto the Airbnb have been seeing the cancellation policy is that I can only cancel before July 7th . Please if you have Airbnb in Toronto I can book without paying please kindly reply

After booking my Biometric Appointment, i saw 2pm on the appointment time at Vfs and i booked it. Do you advice i get to the venue early in the morning? would they let me enter in the morning regardless my appointment time? Be there by 1 latest and go too the gate by 1:30 cause by by 1:30 they will

Yes! I personally know someone starting in September 2023 who already arrived Toronto two days ago via Schipol Airport. No law whatsoever stops you from arriving Canada even two months ahead of your proposed program start date. This I know for a fact!

Bro enrollment letter and admission is diff. Admissions letter covers for the duration of ur course, enrollment letter is per semester. Every semester you’ve to enroll, once the semester is over the enrollment letter for that semester expires.
