I am in UBA as well and equally thinking like you, not because UBA cannot give good dividend but the fact that the market is unforgiving now as stocks keep falling due to paucity of funds from our foreign brothers with hot money (according to onegentleguy). UBA paid 85k dividend last year and I am sure they can equaled it, even if they can not do better.

I got a mail from TRW stockbrokers saying they are now selling down on their sukuk bonds at 14.5% discount rates...

I think its a far better deal than what the Tbill has to offer now

The current depression if not due to deep pockets trying to buy at cheapest prices, then it could be reaction to the news of Atiku's decision to seek redress in the court for the just concluded presidential poll.
Otherwise, the market was upbeat before the polls and rearing to go higher as results kept trickling in.
Every dust will eventually settle, and the market will bounce back especially with the fixed income markets (Bonds, TB, etc) experiencing lower rates now.
No need for panic selling if you are a mid or long term investor.
But then again, I may be wrong.

This reminds me of the time MC was suspended. My guts told to sell my FO shares at a loss and move on. My guts were right. Few days later, suspension and FO prices went on a downward spiral.
