It's been a good night. Percy B. Shelley's words expressed my feeling:
"my words among mankind! Be through my lips to unawaken'd earth
The trumpet of a prophecy!" O Dillish

I am so happy for you. Glory be to God for the win.

Sweetlemon: Melvin is a nice guy, he's not the type to just rush and snatch another guy's babe like that. He needed to be sure that's what he really wanted. But by the time he started developing the liver, it was too late. If they had stayed in that house for two more weeks, he would have gone for the kill. And he would have won, cos Africa ALWAYS gives the money to the husband and not the wife.
Lol!
Distance is not an issue. Remember Kevin and Elizarbeth?
Like I said, let's just wait and see
"....two more weeks....he would have gone for the kill." You are very funny. Nobi the same Melvin? Abeg he no fit kill anything joor. Anyway let's forget that and just wish him well.

fork adict: ***Fork Addict's shout out series***

A big, big shout out to the winning team on here, Team Dillish for standing firm and strong all the way even tho they are in the minority. @Sholay, @Lansguy69, @nikkyshane, @Sweetlemon and others that I can't readily recall. Congrats to y'all.
Thank you so much. I salute your courage for never backing down and for always speaking your mind.

Sweetlemon: Hmmm. Don't you know anything about life?
It's not about who stayed longerst but who touched you deepest.
Some people are tied to their relationships due to gratitude and not real love.
That girl didn't look too happy to see Steven and that s just the truth.
Let's just wait and see.
But whatever rocks the queen's boat is fine by me.
I love that babe scatter!
I would hope for anything to happen between Dillish and Melvin outside BBA. Melvin had an eternity while in the house to try to get her and he didn't. Trust me, reality quickly.sets in after being outside Biggie's house. I am not saying it may not happen but I won't bet my money on it. The shear distance between Namibia and Nigeria is enough to separate them.

I think Melvin should be the face of Closeup. I see him winning a Closeup toothpaste ad campaign. With that set of teeth he can't go wrong! grin

P.S. Abeg no curse me o. I was just joking o. grin

9ja4eva: Yea she wasn't. I don't think they will last.
Really? Dey there dey dream. Dillish and Stephen have been together for 4 years. Dillish just won $300k! Can you imagine what she was going through? She was still in trance! It is phucking unbelievable! $300 is not beans.

Funny it was Dillish that won the crown, literally and figuratively. Beverly's mum must have mistakenly seen Dillish in her dreams and thought it was Beverly. grin

spade: Well, like I've always maintained, a man has to be decisive, bold, daring and spontaneous.

I was raised that way.

Being passive will get you nowhere. Melvin's decision to not save himself the first time he was up, was cool. But he shouldn't have stopped there.

When you go for a show like this, it's the chance of a lifetime. You should seize every opportunity to sell yourself to Africa, to fight for victory in everything you have to win.

Hope this helps us learn too. Niceness will get you many friends and admirers, but it is not an elevating factor. What truly elevates you is your X Factor; your burning desire to rise and phucking CONFRONT fate.

Ricco had it, Hazel did not.
Richard had it, Ofunneka did not.
Karen had it, Keagan had it, Uti had it, and most especially, Kevin had it.
Kevin was a short black boy who no-one took seriously at first. But did it stop him? No.
He seized every chance in the Diary Room to sell himself to Africa, as well as show off his rapping skills no matter how imperfect.
He saw the hottest babe in the house, and WENT AFTER HER, suffering rejection but never stopping.

A man needs to be a GO-GETTER in his life. We were designed that way. That's why males are the heads of the nuclear family structure. A man should be decisive and bold. A man should be the one comandeering the family, and as a result, should NOT waste a second thinking about what outsiders would think of him.

Speak your mind, act your words, walk your talk, and most especially, phuck the world.

That's what a male winner does. That's what a male winner should always do.

cool
You are so on point! I will never employ an MBA holder like Melvin to run my business. He is always in a quandary. He cannot make tough decisions. Funny enough, decision making is an important aspect of MBA. BBA is a big platform, I hope it launches his career in a big way. And may he learn from his experiences in BBA.

Boboribo: Melvin was simply overrated by Nigerians and by his fellow Housemates.
Trust me, if Elikem was a Nigerian, he would have won. It does not help that Melvin got nominated only once and Beverly never nominated. They were just seat warmers while other housemates were building solid fans base through being saved from eviction.

noname: Nawa oh! So Mellish people still dey talk? Dillish wey tell Melvin say she see am as a brother! Then she come dey play mind tricks with am again. So if he no love her like that he go force himself to admit am? Abeg make we hear word. Dillish has won because she was destined to win just the same way Melvin and Dillish will be together I they are destined to be together. This Mellish stuff is BS I swear...
No need to tag me a Mellish fan. I was just saying the truth. You preferred not to see what other people saw. So Dellish did not ask him if he secretly loved her? Dillish did not keep singing a song about secret lovers? Why did IK asked Melvin about being in love with Dillish? And why the heck did Melvin almost kiss Dillish on stage? I don't want him to date Dillish. Stephen is a businessman, he will do a good job of investing the money. I want Dillish to be comfortable for the rest of her life.

safarigirl: First off, I'd like to congratulate Sholay and languy for the win.

Secondly, I'd like to thank avid Melvin fans Kslib, Andre, Omonime, Josydaky, Beniye, ItsModella, ella.b and all others I failed to mention. We fought a good fight

Thirdly, I'd like to thank all the non-avid fans who still supported, ochon, spade, Marairux etc.

Fourthly, I'd like to also thank the haters forkadict, ginger, The Amaka etc. Y'all helped liven the thread.

Also, team Elikem, SOM and co, y'all also lost too, but it's all good.

Lastly, all those who never took sides, but made this page interesting too, Iyawo, Bizbloke etc

Then our expatriates kgr28, GH Kwame, chriskwaku, SAgirl, Zimbomatic, 1,2 and Royal Pearl for your contributions to this thread.

suze: She played no game. Its purely her beauty that got her the money. If fatima or natasha had played the same game, would they have won?
She has a good heart and she is very positive. She sees the good in everyone and never try to run other people down. And yes, she's gorgeously beautiful. Most beautiful women are bitchy, she is sweet. I am so happy she won. Thank God, I was not put to shame.
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa "The Chase" Official Thread by languys69: 8:12pm On Aug 25, 2013
Admit it guys, you just get your asss whopped! grin If Melvin had been man enough, he would have Dillish by now and the money would belong to them both. Dillish loved him, she asked him several times if he was secretly in love with her. He loved Dillish but wouldn't admit it. It was not because of Stephen. Pokehello had a guy outside the house too but Elikem went for her and she left the guy for Elikem. At least Elikem has Pokello and won something.

9ja4eva: LOL...although i believe Beverly should have been given a fair chance though.
She was very entertaining IMO(NO INSULTS ABEG).
Hopefully the results don't surprise a lot of people.
Yeah, true. Beverly might win if people voted on the basis of entertainment.
