safarigirl: Very true. By next week Nigerians will be back to calling her delicious dillish. I trust my people.
She has always been delicious Dillish to me and will always be. grin
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa "The Chase" Official Thread by languys69: 11:01pm On Aug 09, 2013
bebe4u: Ok. Dellish voiced out her strategy agreed ,that was dumb of her at this stage of the game. But my personal analysis from what is reported she said doesn't warrant all the attack on her after all she never said emphatically she is using Melvin for votes. It's reported she said at this point ekikem is more popular and remaining housemate want Nigeria out. How many of us will reject a free ride n opt to trek in the wilderness? God knows the answer in our hearts.
Afterall biggie never gave a rule against such strategy. tongue
Make them free my girl joor. As if she does not want to win the $300k too. It is not like she hates Melvin or Nigeria. People easily forget it is a game and each housemate has his/her strategy to survive until 91 days or to win. The whole point is to win votes! Who can survive eviction or win the game only with his/her country's votes? You have to team up with other housemates to win the votes of their countries. Virtually all housemates, except Oneal for the obvious reasons, have been close to the Nigerian housemates. Dillish was stupid for saying it loud but everyone else does it.

Krasid: But wait oo.Melvin also used dillish to get Namibia's vote once and if dillish leaves he will get it.So isn't it mutual?.Are they not using each other?
They are all constantly teaming up for votes joor. Dillish's strategy is no different from Angelo's or Bimp's. Do you seriously expect to be serious friendship when $300,000 is involved? We all want to be with a winner, nobody stays on a sinking boat. Dillish has said several times that if she does not win, she'll like Melvin, Elikem, Beverly or Cleo to win. I have always known she's closer to Melvin because she wants Naija votes and I suspect Melvin himself knows. There was a particular day she was making Melvin's bed and kept on arranging and rearranging the 9ja flag on his bed. Melvin was just laughing. She has been shouting she is from Edo state and oshio baba. It was obvious enough. Who does not want $300k?
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa "The Chase" Official Thread by languys69: 9:00pm On Aug 09, 2013
I don't know why people are going crazy over what Dillish said. So she got close to Melvin because she wants Naija votes? That is smart! Angelo is with Beverly for the same reason. Alliances are very inportant in the game, just like in real life. It does not mean she does not like Melvin or Nigeria. It seems you guys expect other housemates to just escort Melvin or Beverly to collect the money. They are also in the game to win. I adore Dillish as a person, I don't care if she hooks up with Melvin or not. I am not disappointed at all. Like I have said before, I'll be very glad if she wins.

njokusboy: Bro u re also missing the point, a post graduate degree doesn't mean u know evrything, you know a lot of words because you read a lot of novels, newspaper nd stuffs and not because you have a lot of degrees and dat doesn't make u smart, I know a lot of guys that are way smarter than me but do not know as much words as I... Besides diaspora aint as common as you think.... Dat isn't a basis for judging intelligence.
Where did I say I am judging Melvin's intelligence on the basis of his knowing what diaspora means or not? You have answered yourself already. Holding a lot of degrees especially in a country like Nigeria with a dysfunctional educational sector does not mean you are smart! They are perhaps mere papers because the processes by which you obtained them may be questionable. In saner climes a graduate will be expected to know the meaning of certain words. But I forgot, this is Nigeria. Forgive me.

Flome: Melvin is intelligent while Elikem is smart
My sister, intelligent and smart mean the same thing. A smart person is an intelligent person. We are all intelligent beings but some are more intelligent. Perhaps you wanted to say Elikem is smarter?
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa "The Chase" Official Thread by languys69: 3:03pm On Aug 09, 2013
ochon: No, I don't. Maybe you do. Below is my reason for saying my earlier comment. Your last sentence
If you understood what I said you would not say what you said. I did not say reading posts on nairaland is not enlightening. Otherwise what the heck am I doing here. Abeg work on your comprehension. What I meant was people should try and read widely.
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa "The Chase" Official Thread by languys69: 2:56pm On Aug 09, 2013
hiteelong: Oga English I beg I don do....dis ur issue over 'Diaspora' is becoming annoying....let us move on to smt else.
Why don't you just shut up! You said I should not reply to your post, I didn't. I replied someone that quoted me yet you fired back with insult. If you have a problem with me expressing my opinions then do not read my posts!
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa "The Chase" Official Thread by languys69: 1:55pm On Aug 09, 2013
ochon: I'm not disagreeing with you but learning from NL aint something to be ashamed of. It's in informative source and there's nothing wrong in learning from here. I learnt diaspora from here doesn't mean all I ever knew came form NL
You have a problem with understanding simple English?
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa "The Chase" Official Thread by languys69: 1:54pm On Aug 09, 2013
njokusboy: They said he holds a masters degree, they didn't say it was in English language.... Abeg park welll.... Because you know the meaning doesn't mean every one else must... Ur diaspora theory is lame abeg...Look for sumtin more concrete
You missed the point. The point is he is ostensibly well-educated because he holds a post-graduate degree therefore he should know better. Diaspora is too common a word for him not to know. He does not have to be an English Language graduate! Liking someone does not mean you must throw your objectivity to the winds!
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa "The Chase" Official Thread by languys69: 1:33pm On Aug 09, 2013
ochon: I'll disagree with you on the part I quoted. Me, ochongonoko, never knew what DIASPORANS meant till last year when I read about it on NL. When this issue came up yesterday, I asked a graduate friend of mine who've finished his NYSC and he didn't know. Everybody aint perfect. There's a simple word you'll ask another HM which melvin will know and the HM might not know. Cut him some slack biko
Trust me. Most people are badly educated and some do not read anything else than their course notes and textbooks. If you read newspapers and novels and books in general like an educated person should do, you will not only know the meaning of words but how to use them correctly while constantly increasing your knowledge about many things. It is a shame, some people's closest contact with literature is reading posts on nairaland! grin

ochon: He's anti-melvin, no suprises here
I am anti-Melvin because I used his exact words to describe him?
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa "The Chase" Official Thread by languys69: 1:14pm On Aug 09, 2013
abikyshow: you have just spoken my mind. you are 100% right. He is a coward compared to Elikem who could confront his enemies face to face. He missed all the HOH tasks in the name just to be mr nice guy to everyone. He issued his power of no task to delish who happened to be his closest friend just to be Mr good while oneal and his numerous enemies were available. Even, Pastors have to be bold. Am not Elikem's fan but he has given me everything I needed in this reality show. his enemies are limited now because he is killing them weekly from the week pokelo left. All I can say is that Elikem is playing the game while Melvin is waiting for destiny to repeat itself just like his previous competitions involved
My thoughts exactly! I think I am objective enough to see things as they are and not beclouded because an housemate is from my country. I don't give a hoot if you are a Nigerian or not. I really adore Dillish yet I have said some things that are not so nice about her(which I observed) on this thread. I always call a spade a spade.
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa "The Chase" Official Thread by languys69: 12:55pm On Aug 09, 2013
ozodigboo: I don't get you. And this will bring me to Melvin's case again.
You see, i, in my heart of hearts, will prefer EITHER melvin OR bev to win. any of them. no preference, so far its Naija.
But if they both lose, no wahala - however i will feel more sorry for Bev.

The problem with Melvin is that sometimes he forgets this IS FINALLY, A COMPETITION.
did he really come all d way to come 2nd as usual ? sometimes people just say things to put pressure on themselves.

@ Belovedd, Melvin can't say he doesn't know what diaspora means as a M.Sc holder. having an MBA doesn't mean u know only Business admin tinz. didn't he interact wit peeps in the campus ? and he has no idea of Naira/dollar conversion ? not even a guess ? when did he leave the outside world ? 5 yrs ago ? smh.
@ Nuzo said that melvin's parents warned him about this '' dullness'' that always results in 2nd place. Look at how Elikem nominates people, gives bold reasons and doesn't give a 4k. melvin enters d DR and starts shivering.
For those of you who watched GULDER ULTIMATE SEARCH - why did melvin not win ? because during the final race, a lady fell down, instead of him to keep running [ its a competition for 4ks sake ], he stopped to help d girl. the girl stood up, dusted herself, and continued running without looking back. it was after d show [ which they both failed to win ] that she thanked melvin. WTF ??
why should someone in a competition avoid taking HOH contest seriously because he doesn't wanna step on toes ? wh does that ? what toes ?

Now it has started again. . . .

i support Bev - disadvantaged home, troubled childhood, abusive relationships, struggling to survive, even this dyslexia we hv just noticed. and yet, she is quietly struggling towards d finish line. even her swap decision in d DR was done with despatch. no moaning/crying sessions like melvin.
Someone said he holds a masters degree and he does not know the meaning of the word diaspora? And people here do not have a problem with that? It is shameful enough that a graduate does not know what diaspora means let alone an MBA holder? Well the heck did he attend university?
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa "The Chase" Official Thread by languys69:
hiteelong: I tink tagging melvin as a 'Mr always-come-second' is not a fair thing at all.
Really? He said it himself that he always comes second. Abeg be objective please. I did not wake up one day and suddenly came up with the idea that Melvin always came second.
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa "The Chase" Official Thread by languys69: 12:18pm On Aug 09, 2013
sexytabhi: Yes if it is for intelligence our reps dint do well this season..elikem,Oneal and Bimp are far brilliant and they show it in their ways. Elikem may be a talkative but he is brilliant. I am not his fan though but we need to say the truth. I only wish melvin wins because he is nigerian and he has a gentle personality.
I have said it before on this thread. Elikem is more intelligent than Melvin. Haters should humbly accept the fact. Just because you do not want to accept it's true does not mean it ain't true!
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa "The Chase" Official Thread by languys69: 12:15pm On Aug 09, 2013
StateOfMind: I hope you have learnt your lesson that the game is not in your hands. All your gra gra that elikem would not make finals, una don see am. Did we win the HOH for elikem? Did nlnders alone save him when he was up two times? deal with it girl, elikem is in the finals, even if he doesn't win. And don't you tell me you were never against him being in the finals, you just started accepting it when you saw clearly he had high chances of making it, and now he has.

You are the one with 'stewpid and sentimental' decisons and analysis cos you think you can sit behind your system and run big brother the chase.

I still wish all of them the best and anyone that wins, wins it nooni..

Btw, you came here bragging about melvin being the only one that has won hoh 3times, elikem has now. Still, deal with it.
It won't even surprise me if Elikem wins. The dude is very intelligent and real. He does not kiss azz, he's just himself. I really like that.
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa "The Chase" Official Thread by languys69: 12:04pm On Aug 09, 2013
spade: How can you even be happy about this? Bimp's eviction automatically makes Dillish the winner cuz she'll be getting Namibia, Ethiopia, Malawi and Uganda!

Una no sabi strategy ni?
WTF? shocked
Why I am happy? Are you kidding me? I will be so happy when Dillish wins and Mr Always-Come-Second comes second again. Nothing personal. I just love Dillish and I will so happy if she wins and can take care of herself for the rest of her life.
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa "The Chase" Official Thread by languys69: 10:59am On Aug 09, 2013
I am so happy. Elikem is automatically in the finals! Bimp will be on his way home next week.

sexytabhi: If bev considers west africa thing, she would replace dellish but if it is for friendship sake she would replace elikem.
Although since she nominted dellish originally then she is likely going to replace bimp with dellish.
I go stone Bev when she returns for nominating my Dillish when Feza dey there! Disloyal friend grin Now she'll be swapping Dillish for Bimp, the grandest Delawood furniture in the house! Anyways Dillish will be saved, Feza will go home. I just wish Dillish wins HoH and returns the favour.
