My advice to the Traffic officers is a Yoruba Proverb-" taba ran ni ni ise eru afi tii omo je" "Omo Ijoba ki nku" whenever you are sent on errand like a slave,its good to deliver like a child. Government workers dont die oh ! the rest is histrory  now- and the Politician you are generatiing the revenue for cares  not, why kill yourself for heaven sake. I like to call the attention of the State Government to the sealing exercise going on around Ifako Ijaiye Local Government since yesterday, there are men and women with the inscription " LACOSTA-  Lagos   State Council of Tradesmen and Artisan" they are with a Ministry of Commerce and Industry Bus registration number FQ 801 EKY , what amaze one is which one is the authentic form of taxation in Lagos State, after obtaining trade permit from the Local Government each shop owners are asked to cough out 2,500- 5,000 for tax by the group. One is lost as this is a double taxation from both Local and State Government. Unlike the Local Government that even drop demand notices. The LACOSTA was just going around sealing shops without any notices. People are  not making up to what the Government are demanding, the suffering is beyond all this sealing again.

Fashola dares True Face of Lagos - Says probe me, and prove it

Lagos State governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), at the weekend challenged the leadership of the True Face of Lagos to go ahead and provide proof for the series of financial allegations levelled against his government.

He said at a world press conference on Saturday that the group should provide evidence of his misdeed, adding that since it could not do so, he would not respond to the allegations.

He however said that since the House of Assembly and the Judiciary had stepped into the mater, he would rather leave the issue as it is now.

Governor Fashola said that if the situation warrants it, he is ready to come out and defend his government, but added that except the facts and figures of the misdeeds are provided, he would not waste his time responding to the allegation.

“I am only ready to prove my innocence if they can come up with concrete evidences and facts of their allegations against me and every other person in government would do that at the appropriate time,”‘he declared.

Its same bureaucracy, before I was even directed to someone it was hell, the dude was perambulating as if they don't know what to do . If I can get the link to the Chairman Committee on Power. Or any responsive body. Its hell living in darkness.

I need a genuine assistance on the above issue, I leave at RAB filling Station area of Moshalasi area of Alagbado Kollinton Lagos Abeokuta Express way. Its over six Months now that we view any blink of lights in our area, all effort has been prove abortive. This issue has been a continual problems. If the power is eventually fixed (which we don't know when) Crazy bills will be serve to cover all previous months of darkness, without anyone explaining why. My brother that is just the theoretical aspect of it,  I remember then my lecturer do advise us to be more of a rational being than addicting to theories that are not in conformity with our environment . American Jailed For 24 Years

A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos this afternoon sentenced an American lady, Sharon Dennis Thorpe, to 24 years imprisonment for being in possession of fake bank cheques and illegal dealing in same.

The convict was arraigned before the court alongside her Nigerian boyfriend, Musendiku Kehinde in a criminal charge filed against the accused person by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

It was alleged that they were in possession of 200 pieces of various American Bank cheques totaling $706,668.4.

The American pleaded guilty and she was sentenced to two years imprisonment on each of the 12 counts. The terms are to run concurrently.

However, her Nigerian lover pleaded not guilty.

Justice Akinjide Ajakaye ordered that Musendiku should be remanded in prison custody till 14 June when his bail application would be heard.

I don't think he was sacked but a political bargain to enable him become the Deputy Gov of Kaduna State. then become Governor in 2011 as a family affair I know very soon we shall get from a reliable source. Lets keep our fingers crossed.
