What you quoted is not a Bible command to NOT marry two or more wives.

The Bible commands are clear and non-ambiguous. Eg Do NOT steal, do NOT kill, do NOT dishonor your parents etc. He never say Do NOT marry more than one wife anywhere, both Old and New Testament.
