Hi everyone, this is Michael Jackson . Just kidding. I hope you are all doing great.

I will love an input from everyone who will care to do so. I'm presently based in Lagos and trying to relocate from my present apartment to a place close to or around Surulere. It has been extremely hectic. I've registered with several agents only to realize that they never had a property in the first place. The ones who have wants to collect an arm and a leg for agency and agreement. I'm still opened to this option especially if I can bypass the non-negotiable agent fees. I'm also opened to relocating to Ibadan & Abuja but I have no idea if I will fit into this environment. I don't want to make a mistake and that's why I'm putting this in the family section. I'm a designer and I work remotely for clients. No be everytime work dey show but man is pushing.
What do you guys think?

NB- Security is extremely important to me as well as a place with average or constant electricity.

I came down from Lagos almost 3years now to ibadan, ibadan is okay.
I can be of help if choose ibadan.

Hi Folks, felt i should share this on this wonderful Sunday morning, I am really struggling to accept a part of my demeanor/outlook. "asking for favours.

Profile: i am in my mid 30's, two kids and leaving quite a comfy life. I have a young and very interesting family, and most times people want to do things for me in appreciation for work done /or just a mere act of kindness and i outrightly will say No, The other day, my neighbor brought baby's food for my daughter, i thanked him, politely asked him not to that again, I eventually gave the food out. Trust me no disrespect/nor any evil thought. His feelings towards me lately is kind of subdued

This happens at work too, I will never call in sick, unless i am on a dying bed, whatever management wants I accept, i make my inputs, but will never ask for any favour.

I have struggled to search through any experience in the cause of my growing up that could have shaped my perception/thought pattern, couldn't find any either.
i recall vividly when i lost my job in 2016, I was sleeping under the lagos bridge until I found another job, yet I had people I could call while in Lagos. I am so afraid to ak for favours, rather I grind it out.

I have been surfing the internet checking for folks with similar traits, do you think this behaviour is normal. I live a very happy and normal life nonetheless, with my wife/brothers and kids my best friends.

Is this behaviour normal or should i attempt to change...

I can relate to this.... I don't like asking for help even when am broke cuz believe I will always find means for myself I was once out of job sometime ego but with the little saving I have I made it on my own without disturbing any family members before getting another opportunity....
I feel shy asking favour from friend and family even at work I don't really take a days off unless it's a matter of emergency which my boss know am not that kind of person...
That who I am always adapting to any condition on my own teams and am always greatful for the person I am patient and smart....

i wonder oo, the fact still remains that she is physically challenged. Lagos state government should leave all this things they are painting and give her her 25mil... Na people donation to her and not Lagos money. After all eh no pass the one wey dem dey steal.

OP am once in ur shoe but which I never hope of leaving there, one thing leads to another, one unnecessary disagreement with the board and some of my colleagues they just ask us to tender our resignation letter and we refuse but at last the man sack us....after I almost spend 5month at without lacking anything on my own cost..... from no where I don't even submit any application of which I know of....the next thing na interview about 4 of us dey choice me the next na to resume work.......
though its not my dream job but I have gain more experience and it's pay more then my previous job......
MY ADVICE : leave this current job of urs to give u more time to think and search for more opportunities out there but u most have a back up for almost three months to able to feed urself......
