HELLO GUYS,

I NEED CLARIFICATION ON SCHEDULING AN APPOINTMENT FOR NOTARY SERVICE AT THE US CONSULATE. MY WIFE IS IN THE US TO GIVE BIRTH AND NEEDS ME TO SEND HER NOTARISED DOCUMENTS FOR THE PROCESSING OF THE US PASSPORT FOR THE CHILD..

ON THE ONLINE APPLICATION, IS IT MY OWN DETAILS (SURNAME, GIVEN NAME, D.O.B, EMAIL, ADDRESS, COUNTRY OF BIRTH AND COUNTRY OF ORIGIN) I HAVE TO ENTER ON THE IDENTIFICATION CODE SECTION?

SOMEONE PLEASE ASSIST

The information is for the baby, keep in mind, you are to tick the 3rdbox on the portal which says notarial services n others not mentioned above. You must go into the embassy/consulate with your international passport too cos a copy of the data page will be made.

Good day house, Pls I would like to know how good my chances are in getting a us visa. I want to apply soon. I actually want to take my children on a vacation. Ages 10,8 and 4months currently. I am a business owner and I earn an average of 1mil monthly. My husband is currently in the US (3months now) and will be back next month. I have no travel history but I choose us because most of the products I deal in I buy from there so this looks like a good opportunity to see new products and my daughters long dream is to visit Disney world and again is it better to get an invitation or should I just apply without. Your honest opinions will be appreciated. Thanks all
Kindly note that am sponsoring the vacation

I saw this post but cant stay quiet.
1 Your hubby haven't stayed in the US for 3months disqualified you guys from getting the visa, cos he has proven that the family will do the same.
2 if he comes back to naija he wouldn't be able to go back if the Visa wasn't cancelled exiting the US, it will be done once he arrives in naija. Now the dilemma is this, will you take care of the 3children just like you have been doing for the past 3months, and allow your hubby to change status in the US, hopefully in the next 3years he can bring you guys legally to the US.
3 since you claimed some of the products you sell is from the US your hubby can be your contact person in the US doing the buying for you.
4 if your monthly salary is actually what you quoted here, you guys can forfeir the US while you guys can try somewhere else like Australia Canada New Zealand or a good European country going forward.

She used Medicaid of course...that's not new. She knew exactly what she was doing...and she didn't do it alone either. She'd only give your wife one side of the truth.
People had done runs on that for years which is why the crackdown on it.

Crackdown against Nigerians or other nationalities? If a Nigerian could pay $10000 in child birth and was denial another visa cos of discount of $2000/$3000 which the vo claims he/she doesn't understand why enjoy a discount cos it was a self paid payment. Yet, other countries get their visas renewed even without payment.
Nigeria is a target understand that already!

Hello all I would like to apply for visiting visa for my baby who is just 2 months old ,the rest of the family have visas but we have not used the visas to travel yet, will we have to go to the Embassy for interview or it will be done differently.

With the recent rate of revocation, I did advice you use your visas first, cos at the interview you might/will be asked why u haven't used it for the earlier stated purpose. It does pinch the vos to revoke visas this days.
You might want to weight your options here, and decide what's best for the family. And if you must go for the interview go with the copy of your visa n not your passport, be smart.
This is my deduction after so much research on happenings at the embassy right now.

Guy the problem with Nigerian not getting visas lately is all political, my wife paid $3ooo after birth at a Chicago hospital and equally made payment plans for the balance, but on the flight home to Casablanca she met a lady from Sierra lone that claimed she paid nothing as in nothing at the hospital after delivery. Think this supports the Asian theory sited up there.

Hi all, please for mamas that gave birth in Chicago, can a notary be signed by any notary lawyer or must it be at the embassy? Thank you

Your hubby has to go to the embassy for this, moreso, an appointment has to be made online before going cos its not a walk in service. Wish you luck!

Your friend can use the visa up until 16th of DEC without hassles. he will still be able to get the 6months stamp or lesser depending on the CBP in charge.
As for the 63years man advice is for him to apply later, embassy is not funny nowadays not business as usual. Your friend can enjoy the trip and buy goodies for the old man on his return.....my advice though!!!

Please for the sake of love and knowledge please I want to ask for a friend.

Is it possible for someone other than the baby's father to do a notarization(consent) letter for a child born in the US..

I said its not possible, a friend said its possible..
Just want to know..pls house help.

I doubt the possibility of someone doing that on his behalf, from my experience at the abuja embassy. The father must be present with his passport in hand along the notarization form.

please i want to ask if i told the VO that am gonna be staying for 3 weeks in the US..is it possible or can i stay for 4 moths before coming back to Nigeria without having any issue with my visa status

It is an issue ooo, the game has changed. Just use your 3weeks and leave the country. So renewal can be easy except you don't intend meeting them for another visa.

Please which of the website can I book for this appointment. Please someone help.
Yes, you have to make an appointment first, keep checking for both Lagos and abuja, was at abuja on monday for same.

Just type in notarial services in Nigeria, a page will come up for you to make appointment either in abuja or Lagos. I must advise here when u want to pick please pick notarial services and others not listed above.
Same error cost me ticket money to abuja, wish you luck!

Good day all, I need to know if it's advisable for a family that just had a baby in the United States to arrange for payment plan or try to make full payment, because of the unpredictability nature of the immigration rules this days.
Thank you all!

Guys,my story is long so let me just shorten it,I was born in the US to a diplomat father,I was issued an America passport, birth certificate and a social security card....I came into Nigeria when I was 2yrs,when I turned 18yrs and went to do renewal....my passport was cancelled becos they said "it was issued in error becos children born to diplomat don't acquire citizenship becos the law of that country don't apply to them" my Nigeria passport still has birth place as United States,I still have a photocopy of my US passport before it was cancelled and after it was cancelled, original copy of my birth certificate and social security card and the letter acknowledging the cancellation.....now I want to apply for Visit Visa, with my virgin passport.....wat are my chances?
If a diplomat have a baby in a foreign country where he/she is been posted. The child is not a citizen of that country rather the citizen of the country of birth of the diplomat. The cancellation on this ground is justifiable but like someone suggested, u can consult an immigration lawyer.
Alternatively, u apply just like everyone else if u really do have connection to naija, that should fly, best wishes!

Hello House,
pls I wasn't stamped out in may 2018 (Our passport was not stamped to show that we left US)i asked my sis she said i should not bother that they already know that i left. pls i just want to be sure that they no longer stamp out.

Secondly i need a good hospital in NEWARK New jersey or anywhere close to newark.

Thirdly , pls i need a template for my change of Intent letter.
Thanks
As for the first question; you don't get stamped out of the US but they keep record of your exit on 1-94 u can check that online yourself, because it is mandatory for all airlines to send their manifest to Tsa/dhs on every departing or arriving planes.

Good day oga Seye, being following this thread, i travelled with my family ,wifey and 2 kids to New Jersey via JFK in April, we were stamped in for 6 months to expire in Sept 2018. I left my family in NJ with the sister to work and make some money. i am planning to travel next month to bring them to Naija. I have booked a flight to Dulles, Washington with Qatar to pick them. I work in the financial sector and doing well. Hope i will not have any issue at the POE in Washington Thank you

Saw this post this minute, I need to advice u from personal experience, u have two alternatives if u still in Nigeria. Decide to join the family in US n start life there, or risk ur family not going back. Keep in mind the department of home land security and border protection, keeps a close watch on nairaland. If they already established that your wife stayed to work in the state by tapping her phone or possibly read through her fone at point of exit, visa my be cancelled, meaning u have to reapply for another visa, which u n I know chances of getting another is zero. U can speak with other expect to establish the latest trend, wish ur family a good life!

Was it your first US visa or a renewal? And was that your first trip on the visa...asking for a reason.

Yes very first but with travel experience before usa though, yes first trip on same visa.

I was stamped in via Abu Dhabi 6months without hassles, just sticked with the same response I gave at the embassy, strolled into America with only baggage claim.

Yes my take is for guys to do the right thing, I remembered asking the officers what is expected of one to do if one needs to stay longer than say 2weeks as said at the embassy! And the response they all said is send a mail to the embassy, if I had done so that would have been a defense on my part.
They adviced in any situation has a visa holder always speak with the embassy if your situation changes after picking up a visa.
It was revoked after so much plea, argument and threat, citing that I can go home to the embassy for another one, in which one don't stand a 50/50 chance like the 1st one. Now chances of another visa is 0/100
OmoBendel24:

Stuff happens, I have my reservations even though I see some possibilities in what you have said so far....

But then, what transpired between you and CBP on your way in counts more at this point on situations as yours and not necessarily what you said at the embassy during visa interview per se, the CBP officer most likely would have drawn a balance before allowing you in. People too have cogent reasons for staying above the time they told VOs and CBP Officers, and may not have issues with these authorities subsequently. Well well, however it is, let's learn to please use our visas appropriately and not find ourselves dumbly up against the authorities....

I will appreciate if the administrator of this platform can create another thread for port of exit.
After all the visa application thread was very helpful for my interview at the embassy.
If the admin can add
"PORT OF EXIT EXPERIENCE" they will be doing a lot of good for people who thinks staying beyond 6months is qualified overstaying, instead there's what is called b1b2 violation.

To many rumors lately I find this hard to believe unless there’s more story to this. Goodluck.

I can send u a copy of my revoked visa, some of the informations we Nigerian share is outdated.
I had 3guys that left usa few days before me, non of them said they saw dhs officers at avio bridge, if I had prior knowledge do u think I will risk coming back to naija. But a friend comfirmed to me that they were there in Jan, on his way out, when I told him about my experience. Possibly because he didn't overstay the b1b2 they didnt question him before boarding the aircraft.
A Nigerian couple that when for delivery was thoroughly scrutinized n all receipt checked before they could allow them board the plane.
Sometimes u have to believe some of this strange stories, for more insight download quora and see what past vo's advice are on immigration policies, and not the ones we share between ourselves.

This news get as e be. Even though they can’t revoke your visa for that. You haven’t committed any crime and you didnt over stay. Many circumstance could result spending more than the time you stated at POE that’s why majorities are given 6 months. it can only affect your next visa application.

Get as e b like am not telling the truth, we always thought violation is when u overstay 6month! Buy the dhs made it know that staying a day more than u said at the embassy is violation of b1b2 n not visa in itself. On that ground your visa can be revoked. It's a violation of b1b2 if u don't believe the story. Anyone can overstay the initial days as stated at the embassy n let's see how lucky they are if they depart via Chicago ohare airport.

Na the route for my flight bro, considering the fact that they don't check on exit it wasn't a problem going through ohare airport, I know a family that had issue even at msp airport. I must tell u is not business as usual with this administration in the us. A month I stated but due to business proposals I had to stay longer. Got to the US as stated in my interview.

ORD again! Wetin dem see for that Chicago sef? The game has changed clearly sha.... No longer business as usual. But on what ground did they revoke your visa? It is during renewal that your kind of situation normally have issues before na. How long did you tell them at POE you were going to be in the US for as at the time you arrived?[/quote]

Dhs(department of homeland security)guys were mounted after the last screening before boarding the aircraft, wondered how they got there cos I had to get to the airport ahead of schedule not to miss flight n I didn't see them go pass me at boarding area, Until i got to avio bridge to see 4of them question after question. It was a terrible experience.

I think you don’t pass through CBA when you are going out just TSA. How come your visa was revoked?

Bros, I saw ur post n I had to help u out by signing up on nairaland. I had visa in January but stayed until April on my way to naija via the Chicago airport visa was revoked. Gone are the days when u cheat immigration like u wished. Kindly state 2weeks on your ticket pls, n d moment u stayed a day longer. Remain in d us until ur paper comes or risk never going back.

it's not advisable for you to stay that long in U.S... it maybe difficult for you to renew your visa when the time comes... 3 months is a bit okay.
