How to calibrate the battery on Android smartphones?

Discharge your phone fully until it turns itself off.
Turn it on again and let it turn itself off.
Plug your phone into a charger and, without turning it on, let it charge until the on-screen or LED indicator says 100 percent.
Unplug your charger.
Turn your phone on.

Interesting, I would try this

Your 3rd paragraph get as it be but my advice is:
1. Clean the charging port with a brush
2. Use another 18w charger (cable+brick) to see if there'd be improvement. If there's, try elimination method with the brick and cable to know which is the culprit.
3. If (2) fails, then be looking at charging port ish.
All the best.

Brick here means?

Change cable. Buy an original cable
Like I said, I already tested it with a different original chord, same thing

Hello House,

I have been using Redmi Note 9s for more than a year now and I just discovered a problem.

It takes a lot of time to charge, sometimes it could take like 10hours just to charge up to 60% or not move at all, or I could be pressing the phone and charging and It won't move pass the % I started with which is not like that before, and sometimes . The charging as just been abnormal it only increases whenever it feels like.

I still use the follow come charger, infact it still fast charges(with the fast charge I still experience the same problem) and still firm doesn't shake. I don't think it's the charger head too, because I experience same thing when I use problem. I have used another chord same issue.

My guesses are it could be the charging port or the battery

What do you guys think?

I use an MI earbud and it works well with my redmi note 9, I suggest it for you

How much is it? and for how long have you been using it?
Phones / Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by lanrezy: 6:23pm On Aug 29, 2020
Using an earphone(or what you would call earpiece, with wire that you use to listen to o music) has been a problem for me on my note 9s. I've bought like 3 now, it's either when I eject it,the ear phone symbol will still be showing(and will keep showing untill I reboot the phone) or when I insert it will work for sometime then disconnect then reconnect again and it keeps going like that, there by giving me headache. And this earphones works perfectly in other phones.

The Question is, does Xiaomi have a particular special earphone either wired or wireless?
Because I can't be using phone of such amount and I'll keep rebooting everytime

Note: Every thing is up to date like app, software, system updates

Try another earpiece to check if the former one is faulty...
when I mean earpiece I don't mean the external earphones
Phones / Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by lanrezy: 8:28am On Aug 26, 2020
My Redmi note 9s earpiece (not earphone) keeps failing i.e I won't be able to hear from my end when receiving. But when I reboot it by holding the power button it returns to normal.

The thing is this has been re-occuring and it is tiring, it would work for like 3 days then it would stop working until i reboot it.

Note the software is up to date, is there any long lasting solution to this?

Thank you all. It is now working. I didn't open this thread to do discredit Redmi Xiaomi and moreover I wasn't aware of a Xiaomi thread. It's actually a nice and cool phone tho.

Sorry about that but I have a question to ask xiaomi experts that will be checking out this thread. I was also considering buying this particular variant of note 9 series but after checking reviews online including YouTube. I discovered that different issues like screen bleeding plagues this device. I saw another with wifi disconnecting (could be software issue). Now with this issue by another user. Is it just better to avoid this particular model since it's like prone to many issues or it's just badly built and optimized by xiaomi? Before fanboys jump on this thread to call me hater or anything, I got the redmi 8A for my mum weeks ago and the performance is impressive and I've been considering switching device myself. grin

I have not experienced any of the issues you mentioned above,

DISCLAIMER: This is not to paint Redmi Xiaomi Bad

I recently purchased a redmi note 9s store this month at a store in ikorodu due to the fact that I wanted to try a new UI. And i must say this, the phone is worth the price. The battery, fast charging, gaming experience is wonderful and also the RAM management unlike my previous Tecno. And also the MIUI is cool too

But the issue is, it developed fault just this week. The earpiece stopped working. When on calls I can't hear what people say until I put it on loudspeaker.

I've been worried since since then, what I can I do because I don't think Xiaomi comes with a warranty

And also if the earpiece is repaired hope the back glass won't be damged in the process, because that makes the phone dope

MODIFIED: The problem has now being fixed, it was a minor software bug

I just finished watching Season 1 of Vis a Vis and I can say I'm impressed. Absolutely catching and full of suspense. It gave me the same kind of joy and happy feeling I got when watching Money Heist. I'm rating it 9.5/10.
Zulema is really a wicked, crafty and tough villain. Spanish series are really dope.

Don't worry, you'll get to like her in subsequent seasons
Family / Re: Things Introverts Have Done To Avoid People by lanrezy: 7:19pm On Jan 11, 2020
I'm also an introvert too, not the extreme type tho.

-First on birthdays, I don't post online and my phone is on airplane just to avoid 'happy birthday....' and shit. sometimes if Facebook cast my birthday I do deny it.

-- most of my social media account aren't in my name or picture, always on a ghost mode even though am always online 247. And I also have a status view of less than 20

-During holiday am always indoor, my phone and internet are my soulmate.

-I don't greet people except you are FAM or a close pal. people do report me to my parent, my parents has given up on me on that aspect of greeting people and making friends. Lots of people had told me am proud, saucy and shit but who cares

-In all my phases of life I had always try to avoid people, during Sec. Sch. I had less friends and had issues, some said I was proud and all that. well now I'm in tertiary and am trying to improve that. I'm always the first person to leave church after service despite the fact that always the last person to come in, just to avoid unnecessary convos

-Lastly those in my clique knows am such a wonderful, interesting, cool, fun person to be with.
-The SACRIFICE for this my introvertness is that till now I don't have GF.
- Trying to change now, so I will have more people attend my wedding

Education / Re: Is Further Mathematics Compulsory To Study Computer Engineering? by lanrezy: 8:47am On Nov 09, 2019
it is one of the criterion for one to be admitted into her faculty of engineering. I'll urge you to sharply change your course or change to other university that it's not compulsory.

For example it's not compulsory here in FUTA

Well, pls if you ain't well grounded in f/maths pls don't try engineering, just a brotherly advice

I once had a similar experience. I went to tutor a friend in school, so we used one of LTs. So after we were done I met one of my course mate in the same LT as expected we hailed and 'whine' ourselves. So I saw he was reading a topic we just taught and I kinda understood and have a easy way of understanding the topic (EEE *02). So after I explained to him sha the other friend I came with was waiting. The guy(course mate) put his on the table and hurriedly, absentmindedly I took the Guy's thinking it was mine without knowing I already tucked mine in the pocket.....Then I was going to meet my other friend(a girl) at the LT entrance when the guy called me back that I 'took his phone'......I was so ashamed of my self that day

Education / Re: Best Federal University To Study Engineering by lanrezy: 10:48am On Jan 05, 2019
FUTA is the answer to your question.
I'm studying your desired course, EEE from FUTA

Although it's ain't easy to gain admission into that dept due to hight cutoffs (but if you merit it, trust me you'll be given the course)

And that dept can stress one's life, but it's worth it sha

You can also try other fed. schools like FUTMINNA, UNILAG, OAU
