*chapter 9*
"Merry christmas,Violet." James whispered into her ear the next morning as they woke up making her giggle like a sixteen year old. "Merry christmas James" she replied and got off the bed to take her bath. They both went down together to see the servants going busily with the preparations for the christmas gathering. Violet saw that none of the women were at the breakfat table and quickly finished her meal then she went outside to search for them. She saw them at the back of the mansion and wondered why she hadn't gotten to see this side of the land, she wasn't surpursied that there was still acres filled with trees and the place where the women were was really spacey and large which could contain many chairs and people. "Wow! This is massive!" She exclaimed as she got to where they all stood supervising the decorations and preparations. "I know right?! I sweet-talked Kelvin into chopping down some more trees and making this space larger." Mary said with smiles. "Wait, there would be many children underfoot running around, aren't they going to want to wander into the woods?" Valeria asked Mary. "Oh yikes! I didn't think of that, we'll get the men to build a sort of barricade at the entrance to the woods and since there would be adults loitering around the barricade the children would be sent back to the middle of the gathering." Mary pondered and mapped out how the barricade would hold. The men were called to construct the barricade with them grumping and complaining of being put to heavy labour but were really happy to have something to do. The women divided themselves with Natalia and Violet incharge of seeing to the preparations being done in the kitchen, Clara and Valeria going through the flower arrangements and other decorations and Mary overseeing everything being done.
"Goodness! That was hectic but we came through." Violet said as she trudge in to the house with the rest. " We should all go and rest before the guests starts trooping in." Mary suggested as she dumped herself on the nearby chair. "Come on sweetheart, let's go up." Kelvin cajoled his wife and they all went up. Violet went straight to the bed as she and James entered the room with James going to the bathroom to wash off his sweats. "Violet, aren't you going to wash off the sweats you're in?" James said as he came out of the bathroom towelling his wet hair and smiled when he saw that she had slept off. He sat next to her sleeping form and watched her as she slept touching her red hair softly. He started thinking about how she had become part of the family even though it was through pretence, he winced as he thought about the lie he had formed to his family and they wouldn't be too happy about it when they find out he was using Violet. "Maybe it's time for me to cut things off with her, this is already getting out of hand" he said to himself. He himself is already forgetting that Violet isn't his real fiancee, she is too good for him to be putting her through this farce of an engagement, running his hands through his hair nervously as he paced to and fro around the room. "Why are you wearing the carpet out?" Violet asked in a sleep induced voice. "What?" James asked in confusion. "You're making me dizzy with your pacing. What's wrong? You don't look so well" She asked with worry in her voice sitting up on the bed to look at him fully. "I'm fine, you don't need to worry about me. I'm going down, some guests should be in by now." He answered in a gruff voice and left the room in haste. Violet frowned in confusion as to what was wrong with him and shrugged it off then she got up from the bed to freshen up for the gathering.
"This is massive!" Violet exclaimed to Clara as they went in together to the celebration. "Yeah, it is. This year's turn out is astounding. I couldn't believe many people would come since it's christmas day, I'm sure Mary would be grinning ear to ear right now." Clara said as they watched people milling about with some seating in groups chatting together, some going around to know and meet other people, and some standing beside the buffet table shoving down many foods they could get into their mouth. Violet caught sight of James in the midst of three beautiful women charming them with his smile and making them laugh, she raised her eyebrow and took her eyes off them. She saw that Clara had left her to talk to a friend and walked over to where Giovani and Alan stood grilling the hot dogs and other mouth-watering things "Hello handsomes, mind if I join you?" Violet chattered excitedly, she had alway wanted to learn to grill and this is a chance for her. "A beautiful lady in our midst? We'll be so pleased." Alan said smiling at her while Giovani chuckled a he turned over some meats. "I've been eyeing how they grill but I haven't tried it, Would you men teach me how to grill?" She said with hope in her eyes. "Si, why not? We'll be glad to teach you. It's not that hard." Giovani answered and handed the tongs to her. She laughed as they tried to take her through small foods to grill, "this is fun" she exclaimed and turned over some burgers. "You're getting it, make sure you don't let them burn." Alan praised her as she made her first batch of burgers without burning them. "Maybe we should leave this for her while we go and mingle with the rest." Giovani suggested jokingly to Alan. "What?! you guys wouldn't leave me here by myself right?" She aked shakingly. "Hmmnn, why not? Since you've gotten the hang of it. Giovani isn't that right?" Alan answered trying not to laugh as he saw her stricken face. "Si, you're correct my friend, she's a pro already. Look, there's my Natalia over there, I should go and join her." Giovani inputed going along with the joke. "Don't move. Nobody is going anywhere except from me. I've gotten the experience I need, I should be on my way." She said nervously to them and narrowed her eyes at them as she saw that they were trying hard not to laugh. "You both got me. You played and got me. How could I have falled for that?" She said hitting both of them on the shoulder as they laughed at her then she too joined them in their laughter saying "I should have known! You silly men." James came up to them as they laughed and wondered why they were all laughing so hard and shouted at them "hey guys, the fishes are going to get burnt if you guys don't stop laughing." "Easy James, the fishes aren't going to burn, we were just having some laugh about a joke." Alan said to his brother as he checked the fishes. "Thank you, both of you. Now I'm going to buy that grill I've been eyeing and make myself grilled foods." She said and gave Giovani and Alan a peck and a hug each with James frowning at her. "I think I'm going to open up a grilling school so that I can get beautiful women to fawn over me." Alan said with drama with Giovani chuckling and nodding at Violet. "I'm going to leave you guys to continue and take some of this mouthwatering steaks with me." She said happily placing a steak on a big paper plate and carrying it with her as she went to mingle with others. "That is a fine woman you've got there, James." Alan said to James with Giovani nodding his agreement. "Si, she's a woman who must be treated like a queen and shouldn't be looked down on, take care of her very well James or else you'll answer to me" Giovani said to James in a calm voice but James know that Giovani meant what he said and moved away angrily thinking how Violet had made a good impression to Giovani and the rest of the family and he must act fast to send her back before she becomes a favourite of the family. Violet made sure she enjoyed herself to the fullest, she met new people and made new friends. She also helped in replenishing the foods on the buffet table and danced with the Kevlar men and some others. She went into the kitchen to bring out the ice Kelvin needed and was singing to herself happily as she poured ice into a bucket when James came into the kitchen. "Hi james, enjoying yourself?" She asked with a sunny smile on her face. "Don't try anymore." He dropped with a face hard as stone. "Excuse me?" Violet asked in confuion. "You're getting too close to my family. They're mine not yours. Your role was to play my fake fiancee not a real one so stop it." He said in a cold voice. Violet's heart broke as she heard what James said and tried not to let her face show any emotions. "You're right James, they're your family not mine. I didn't know being myself would make your family like me. Since my family is at home, I'll leave for my home. Our engagement is broken." She said in a surprisingly calm voice and pulled off his ring from her fingers and handed it to him. She carried the bucket of ice with shaking hands and went out of the kitchen trying her best not to cry.

*chapter 8*
Dinner that night was loud and fun to Violet, she was glad that she would be amongst them to new year. She got to know more about the Riccis and wished she could go to Italy one day. As she was in the midst of the Kevlars she realized that she missed her family and decided to call them after dinner. James came into their room as she dropped the cellphone. "I just spoke to my family, they're doing alright. This christmas would be a happy one with no worries for us thanks to you." She said to him. "I'm glad that they're alright and fine." He replied and went ahead to take off his clothes. "Um...what are you doing?" She asked nervously which made James look at her confused. "I'm getting ready for bed. You don't expect me to sleep with my clothes on do you?" He asked. "Oh right! Yes....I mean No! I-I...oh hell! I'll just go to sleep." She said with her cheeks hot red which made him chuckle. He walked to his side of the bed and pulled the covers then he got in making himself comfortable. They each faced the other side with their eyes wide open. Violet sighed and changed to the other side snuggling up her pillow some minutes later, she took off the pillow from her head then took it back again fluffing it before she put it back to rest her head. James faced her side and said "Go to sleep Violet, stop disturbing my sleep." "Your sleep? I don't see you sleeping. Why don't you too go to sleep." She answered as she rested her hands on her chin. "I was almost sleeping before you disturbed me with your movements." He said back at her. "Alright, I won't disturb your sleep again. Goodnight." She said and closed her eyes. James smiled widely as he watched her shut her eyes deeply. "Why are you smiling?" She asked still with her eyes close. "How do you know that I'm smiling with your eyes closed?" He asked in amusement. "Aren't you smiling? I knew you were smiling it doesn't matter with my eyes closed." She answered still not opening her eyes. James made a silly face and asked "what did I just do?" "Hmmn, you made a silly face." She said and did her face as he did his still with her eyes closed which made james laugh. "How did you know? Ok I bet you won't know this." He said quietly and moved his face closer to hers then he kissed her. He broke the kiss and said with his voice rough with desire "now tell me, what did I just do?" "Why don't I show you." She said opening her eye which was now filled with want for him bringing her hand to his head to bring him closer then she kissed him with vigor "I want you James" she said softly into his ear then biting it softly. James growled deep and kissed her hungrily bringing her body close to his. They touched each other's body and removed their clothes in quick speed. James tore his mouth away from hers to kiss her face and went down to nibble on her neck making her moan with pleasure. He went down further to feast on her bust, giving both the same attention making them hard and pointed. She raked her fingers down his back as he blew hot breath on her stomach and teasing her navel. She squeaked and moaned loud when she felt his fingers in her core and kissed him to stop her from shouting. She trashed around as she felt herelf going on the climax making him replace his tongue with his fingers and when she felt his mouth in her core, she broke down and let herself go. "My turn." She said after his ministrations on her body. She got ontop and went straight to his broad chest to kiss his chest and handle his n!pples. She moved her hand down to his shaft making him groan as she fondled and massaged it gently, rubbing herself to him. "Come here, Vixen" he said and pulled her under him. He kissed her softly and used his knees to spread her tighs. He entered inside her gently and froze when he heard her gasp of pain. He swore loudly as he looked into her face which had become pale and tried to pull out but she wrapped her legs around him and pushed him deeper into her. They went in and out gently making a rhythm and whispered each others name. James saw that Violet's face had changed to that of a dreamy and pleasured woman and changed the tempo to a faster one. They went faster and faster till they both came at the same time driving eachother to ectasy. "Why? Why didn't you tell me you were a Virgin?" He asked as they got their breaths back and their hearts settled. "Does it matter?" She answered. He looked at her as she stretched like a satified cat with her hair spread wide on the pillow and her lips swelled with his kisses, he got hard just looking at her and tried to shake his brain to the discussion at hand. "Of course, it matters. I wouldn't have touched you if I had known." She lowered her eyes in hurt and said. "Oh!". He ran his fingers through his hair in frustration and brought her closer to him. "I'm sorry baby, to be sincere, I'm glad and scared that I'm your first. You're a beautiful woman how come all these years?" He asked. Violet sighed and ran her fingers on his chest absently saying " it just happened, all the guys that I've dated didn't worth it and after some time I just didn't have time for men. Wait a minute, why did you say you're scared of being my first?" He chuckled. "Don't be afraid, I meant well. I don't want to hurt you Violet." He said with his eyes serious. "I'm capable of shielding myself from getting hurt. I know after new year I'll be out of your life but don't worry I won't get any silly idea of us being together." She said to him but in her heart she already knows that the idea had formed since and it is still spreading which might give her heartache but she'll know how to cross the river when she gets there. "I-I.... Oh hell." He said not knowing what to say to her and hearing her say what she just said make him want to shake her and he doesn't want to think about them not being together. "I want you again but you're sore. I don't want to hurt you." He said to her as he kissed her tenderly. "Shut up and make love to me." She answered making him laugh and pull her under him.
James woke to hear the shower running and smiled. He got up from the bed and walked into the bathroom. "Need someone to scrub your back?" He said as he pulled Violet to him nuzzling her ear. "Since the someone is here, he is free to scrub my back." She said and gave him the sponge. "I think I'll start from the front" He said turning her front to him. He kissed her with the water running down their face. "I want you inside me" she whispered and got what she wanted. They came down together to see that breakfast was already halfway and speculative and amuing glances were thrown their way as they sat down to eat. Clara and Natalia exchanged amused glances as they saw Violet's face which was shining, Mary smiled inwards as she sipped her tea. "Your face looks radiant dear and you've got that satisfied look, I itch for my paintbrush to do your face justice" the Contessa said with amusement sparkling her deep blue eyes making Violet blush hard and the women laugh softly. The men raised eyebrows as to get what the women are laughing at but were clueless. After breakfast, Mary and the Contessa Valeria went to the greenhouse to tend to the flowers and cut some while Clara and Natalia dragged Violet to the kitchen to hear all about Violet's encounter. "So, tell us, is he really good?" Natalia asked Violet making her blush again. Clara laughed and said "you don't need to be shy, we can see that you guys worked magic on the sheets." "Well, we sure did. It was spectacular." Violet said with her face in a dreamy look. They all sighed in pleasure as they all thought of last night with their men. They changed the subject and talked about how tomorrow which is christmas is going to be. "We share gifts on christmas eve, which is tonight because tomorrow is the christmas gathering. You'll be surprised how many Kevlars there are because all the Kevlars would be around with many friends and town people who wants to spend christmas with the Kevlars." Clara informed Violet who took all of it in with Natalia adding. " Even though everybody would be outside in the snow, it is always fun and many things to eat and drink." "Wow, I can't wait for tomorrow." Violet said in excitement. The kitchen door opened with Mary and Valeria coming in with each carrying a big bouquet of flowers each. They went to help them carry the flowers to the table and then the flowers were arranged in vases to be set in each corners of the mansion.
Night came after dinner with everybody relaxing in the family room where the christmas tree stood with its shining lights and glittering decorations with many gifts piles under the tree. Everyone was with his or her prefered drink and partner. Even the kids didn't retire early waiting to unwrap their gifts. Kelvin the patriach of the Kevlar family stood up with a goofy grin on his face and said "hell, what are we all waiting for, let's all see what santa has brought for us for christmas." They all laughed and made noises with Mary and Kelvin to share all the gifts. "Looky here, this one looks like it's for Tommy from his mama." Kelvin said heartily with a father christmas hat on his head. Tommy rushed to collect his gift and tore the wrapper excitedly and screamed happily rushing to his mother to give her a big hug and a sloppy kiss "Thanks mum, you got me the batman latest collection." He said getting a big kiss back from his mum. Gifts were passed and various exclamations were made. Natalia got a pair of silver earrings from her father, a painting of herself in stages of pregnancy by Valeria, a designer shoe from Alan, a beautiful blue sweater with her name on it from Clara, a new lingerie from Violet, another pair of earrings from her mother but a gold one, she gasped and kissed Giovani as she saw the beautiful silver bracelet with their initials encrusted on it and she got a designer handbag from James. Clara got a rare collection of the complete work of a Jane Austen from Valeria, James gave her a beautiful gold and silver watch, Kelvin and Mary gave her a beautiful china set, Giovani gave her a cashmere coat, Natalia gave her an autographed book from her favourite author and Alan gave her a pink diamond brooch with their initials on them and a pair of silver earrings. Mary got a painting of herelf and her husband in an embrace from Valeria, Alan and Clara got her and Kelvin tickets to a Caribbean cruise while Giovani got her a silver hair bond with matching earrings and Natalia gave her a blood red Victoria secret lingerie with James giving her a beautiful blue-green bowl with her initials engraved on it, Violet giving her a new sweater and Kelvin got her a scrapbook detailing their lives in picture from when they got married till recent times. Violet was surprised as to the amount of gifts she got. "I'm so sorry that the gifts I had for you guys was small and honoured for these gifts you all gave me". Valeria gave her a quick sketch and painting she did for her, Alan and Clara gave her a designer bag and shoe, Mary got her a cashmere sweater, Kelvin got her a pair of earrings, Giovani gave her a cashmere sweater too, Natalia gave her a pair of Victoria secret lingerie and James got her a white gold chain which had a ruby pendant in shape of a heart. Valeria got a lingerie from Violet, a silver hair bond and matching pairs of earring from Giovani, a ticket to a cruise to the Caribbeans by Alan and Clara, Natalia got her a beautiful necklace, Kelvin gave her an expensive set of art tools, Mary gave her a nice brooch with pendant and James got her a desiner shoe and bag. The men also got presents ranging from engraved cufflinks to expensive shoes to expensive ties and gold watches. The children too got their own share of many presents ranging from new dresses and dolls for Sophia and Emily to a new puppy for Tommy and toys. Everybody were pleased with their gifts and they had a toast, for good tidings and happiness which they drank to it. James and Violet went in to their room after the toast and prepared for bed. "James, I want to thank you for this gift you gave me, it's very beautiful and I hope I won't lose it" she said as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "I thought of you when I saw it and I just have to buy it for you." He said as he rubbed his nose with hers. "I'm sorry, I didn't get you any gift. I promise to make it up to you." She told him. "You've given me a gift, a priceless one. And if u still feel like making it up to me, why don't you take off that dress." He said into her ear making her shiver. "Why don't I." She smiled and pushed him to the bed.

*chapter 7*
Violet woke early since she slept early and went down for breakfast after she finished having her bath. As she walked in to the breakfast room, she saw two new faces she didn't see before yesterday which got her curious to know them, but she suspected that they were the Riccis. She saw a beautiful young woman with the Kevlar blue-green eyes and the italian husband who was handsome as sin and looks ruthless and menacing but his face softens whenever he is with his family. "Goodmorning Violet, hope you slept well? Come join us and let me introduce you to my daughter and her husband." Mary said as she sighted Violet who smiled at her as she took a seat beside Alan. "Goodmorning Everyone." She said and faced Mary who was all smiles. "Hello, I'm Natalia and this is my husband Giovani." Natalia said introducing herself and her husband to Violet. "So pleased to meet both of you. I'm Violet." She said smiling at the couple. "Violet is James' Fiancee." Mary said to Natalia. "Oh! Splendid! I'm so glad to meet you Violet." She said. They all started discussing while they were eating.
James woke up and saw the other side of the bed empty meaing that Violet had woken up and had went downstairs. He got up from bed and went to freshen up for breakfast. His face turned in a big smile as he saw his twin sister with her husband at the breakfast table. " Wow! I'm so glad to see you guys." He said to them as he went to where Violet sat and gave her a kiss. "Where is the Contessa, Tommy and Sofia?" He asked his sister as he sat beside her. "They're still asleep, I've been hearing compliments about your fiancee and I can say I'm highly impressed with what I've seen so far. You did good twin brother." Natalia said smiling up at her brother with Violet blushing hard at where she sat. James and Giovani shook hands heartily slapping themselves on the back then both sat down on their seat again. After breakfast, the men went to the library while the women and children went to the kitchen. "You guys won't believe who came to the house a day before we were to come." Natalia started as they baked cookies with Mary and Clara doing the mixing, Natalia and the Contessa Valeria rolling and cutting to shapes with the help of the children and Natalia carrying them to the oven and bringing them out. "Really? Who called?" Clara asked as she tasted what she was mixing. "I've told you guys about Aurora isn't it? The lady who schemed to make my marriage fail" Natalia continued getting a 'yes' and 'oh right her' from Mary and Clara. Clara explained about Aurora to Violet so that she won't be confused. "Anyways, I was surprised when I saw Aurora being led into the living room where I was with Valeria" she said "I wasn't surprised." The contessa inputed. "Yea, you don't get surprised easily. Well, I offered her a seat telling her what a surprise since it's been two years. Aurora smiled sincerely at me, I was shocked and then she said she came to thank me and Giovani for making her see herself for who she was. She told us how she admitted herself to a rehab cutting herself from the world for a year and a half, after she got herself back together, she went to America where she met her husband." Natalia narrated. "What? Husband? She has gotten married?" Mary and Clara asked in surprise. "Yeah she has. I was amazed too when she told me. And guess who she married... A rancher in Texas who has two kids already. She and her family came to Italy to spend Christmas with her parents so she decided to come see me and ask for my forgiveness. I told her I've forgiven her already and she didn't do anythong to harm me rather she made my marriage work. She asked us to be real friends and I agreed. We chatted for while before she took her leave." Natalia finished. "Wow, that was really something." Violet said shaking her head with Mary and Clara agreeing. "She's pregnant. I saw it." Valeria said with relish. "How did you know she was pregnant? I didn't even take notice." Natalia faced the contessa. "Her face was shining and when Clarisa brought in the treats her face turned green with nausea. I don't think she knows herself but I've told her to get a preganancy test kit." The Contessa said with satisfaction. "This is interesting. I'm so happy for her. She turned a new leaf and did right. She did good." Mary said nodding her head. "Now let's get this going." She ordered moving to the radio to play some christmas songs. They all got into the rhythm of mixing, rolling, cutting, decorating and putting in the cookies in the oven while they all danced and sang along with the songs.
"Yikes! I've got some late christmas shopping to do, would you ladies love to follow me to the mall?" Mary asked as they all relaxed in the family room. "Why not?" "I'd love to." "I'm in too, I wanna get some things too." The ladies chimed in excitedly. They raced to get their purses and jackets from their rooms and came out to wait for the car. They all piled into the waiting four-wheeler leaving the children with the men to take care of them. They got to the mall and went from one store to the other oohing and ahhing over beautiful displays and merchandise. Mary bought the things she came for and the others too bought one or two things that caugt their fancy. Then they settled down in a restaurant for some refreshments. "I'm curious and nosy, but how did you and James meet?" Natalia asked Violet as they downed their drinks and eat the fries that was on their table. Violet blushed and said to herself 'oh goodness, I'm in trouble now.' "Well, it was easy. I came to apply for the christmas decorator job, that was where I met James. He sat at his chair looking all handsome and menacing and my heart raced. I was kinda confused then because I was thinking why will my heart race because of one handsome man. He took the first step by inviting me to dinner, and from there we started going out together. My family like him very much because he interacted with them he even spent thanksgiving at our place." She said to the ladies. "I'm so glad he didn't spend thanksgiving alone. I was worried about him but now I'm grateful to you and your family." Mary said taking Violet's hands in hers. "He was really happy when he called during thanksgiving." Clara inserted. "I know he loves your hair. I love your hair, it's so vibrant, full of life. I must paint your face." Valeria said dreamily going into her painting world. "You must collect a fee if she wants to paint you or else she'll use you till you drop. She did that to me." Natalia said jokingly to Violet making her and the others laugh. "I can't wait for your exhibition, Valeria. I'm going to cajole Kelvin to buy one of the paintings." Mary said to the Contessa. "We're all going to New York for the exhibition. Isn't it wonderful?" Clara said excitedly. Thay chatted some more before going home.
The men too were doing their own male bonding with the children with them. Emily and Sofia were playing in their play pen with Tommy as their protector as he lied down in front of their play pen drawing cartoons in his art book. They talked about business and pleasure. "I hear the London office is now a christmas land." Kelvin said to James. Alan laughed saying "I saw the pictures and I was wowed at the decorations in each office." James smiled proudly then he said "Violet did it. She was the decorator. You should have seen her when she was decorating, she brought the christmas spirit with her, the staffs even caught on the spirit and was singing along the carols she had on and they helped her in the decorations." "Really? That's good. I would have loved to have her decorate the Ricci office too." Giovani said. "Bugger off. She's mine." James said with pride. "Her family are wonderful people." He told them. "Daddy, I wanna build a snow man." Tommy went over to his father. "A snowman? How big do u want him to be?" James asked him making Tommy's eyes big in wonder. "I want him as big as this." He said demonstrating with his hands. "Ok buddy, go and wear your coat because it'll be cold outside." Kelvin said to his grandson. "Cool! We're going to build a snowman." Tommy said as he ran to his room for his coat. "Alright boys, let's see if the skill to build a snowman is stil there." Kelvin said and went to carry his granddaughters making baby noises at them to make them laugh. He took them to the housekeeper to take care of them and went to meet the others outside. The women arrived at the house to see the men building a snow man. They hurried inside to drop their bags and hurried outside to join the men. They laughed and played in the snow as they helped Tommy to build his snow man. The snow man was built and with the help of his daddy, Tommy decorated the snowman with carrots and an old gardener's hat with a scarf and sticks. James smiled in mischief as a thought came into his mind. "Snow ball war!!!" He shouted and threw a snowball at Natalia who stood dumbfounded but then recovered and made her own snowballs hitting it at James and the other men. Shrieks and shouts were made as the men teamed up against the women, shooting them with snow balls. James targeted Violet shooting at her direction, Violet too shot snow balls to James, one hit him smack on his face making him stop in shock which made Violet laughed hard till she was rolling on the floor. James recovered and ran to where she laid laughing and pounced on her, packing snow in his hands to stuff them at her face and inside her clothes. They rolled each other laughing and stuffing snow at each other and before they knew it, their mouths were on each other. James kissed Violet with Vigor and murmuring silly words in her ear. They kissed and touched each other frantically and jumped apart when snowballs rained on them. "Get a room you two." Clara and Natalia shouted at them laughingly. James got up and held a hand to Violet which she took and said "I think it's time to burn the sheets after all." Looking him in the eye with desire, James watched her walked away in amusement and went to meet the others.
