nitrogen: But the same players got us to play UCL this season. Make it make sense. It's always funny the way you usually acts surprised when these players show you their true color. Go back 8yrs if you won't see the same pattern playing out. Play well for a certain period of time and then go back to being shit. Rinse and repeat. |

Jamiuokolaa: Even the new ones are bad? We only signed Tielemans, Santos and Baleba this season now, apart from Tielemans, all the players that played in that Everton games started on Sunday against city now. And the new ones are not necessarily bad but whatever they drink in Carrington that's making them lazy, they have drank it too. |

Baba we lost to a ten man Everton last season with a different manager and a different formation, the only constant is the players. Your delusion about the ability of these players is laughable. |

afrodoc2: Yeah, it is a loss.
I don't think the club did anything wrong in his particular situation to make him leave cos the club has been bending over backwards for a while now to accommodate his dad's wishes. Some might even say the club was far too accommodating of them.
The boy was for a short period with you guys, and then Chelsea, and then West Ham, and then joined us all before he turned 12. His father is notorious for his antics and i have touched on it several times here.
Having said that, an impartial assessment is that he might be making the right decision for his career. It all depends on where he ends up next. We have mismanaged a lot of talented academy players of late and when they flop people will start saying that they were never good in the first place.
IMO if he ends up at Barca, City, Bayern, or even with you guys his football development would be better, and his father won't have the cachet to be making ridiculous demands at such well-run clubs. The 2 clubs that would be mistakes are Real Madrid and Chelsea. Those are our ogas in terms of mismanaging young talent.
The whole situation is just indicative of our current place in the footballing world where a 15yr old unproven player and his father think that they are doing us a favor. The father does not rate us and was always going to try to move the boy to a club he thinks is bigger and better either this year or next year. It is what it is. I agree doc, the way we have been mismanaging our academy players, if I was his dad too, I will fight to get him elsewhere asap before the club loan him out to Rotherham in League one. It's only this club I know that send out it's talented academy boys on loan to unknown improvised club in league one or league two calling it development. No wonder we end up selling them for £1m and below. A very useless board. INEOS and Glazers will fully run this club into the ground, every aspect of the club is in ruins currently including the female team. Might not take a little time before talented academy players refuses to sign with us. See Chidi Obi that should be on the team as back up CF or even loaned out to a correct team was sent to Willem II in Netherlands, I'm not sure he has played 90mins of football since the loan. If I be J.J Gabriel papa, I will pack my boy bags without even informing the club. Meanwhile I'm still waiting for your response. |

afrodoc2: He is registered to be with us until the end of the season, but it is not a pro contract, so the compensation won't be much. The compensation will be even smaller if he goes to a club outside the UK like Barca.
He is asking the club to deregister him and cancel his registration. Apart from the Barca links i mentioned in my previous post, he turns 16 next month at which point he can legally move to a European club, and i think this move is timed perfectly.
Having followed the guy's career since his Kid Messi days at age 10-11 there was always a big chance that he was going to leave prematurely. Even if he stays this season there would be another drama next year or the year after. It could be over minutes, salary, jersey number or image rights. At least until he is independent and out of his father's control.
Maybe if he moves to a top club like Barca or Madrid or even City his father will be controllable. Na wa |

afrodoc2: The dad has always been a bit passive-aggressive. Anybody who has followed the boy's career knew this was coming at some point.
The dad was a footballer who didn't reach the top level, and he seems to be living the diva life vicariously through his son.
I also suspect Barca because the boy appears to be a fan of the club and his idols are Messi, Neymar, Yamal. There is also the Nike connection. Barca would be best for his football education.
Don't rule out City though. They are the masters of under the table payments, and they nearly got him at the start of last season. Is the guy contract up? Can we sell him for any money at all? |

See the aggressiveness that Enzo and Anderson were using to press and move the ball forward on Sunday.
Our own players will be romancing the ball and taking almost 5 touches to release the ball.
Maguire will want to pass and he will drive the ball close to the player he want to pass to before releasing the pass. |
