Meanwhile, MAGA is slowly hitting my target. Good decision not to chase it. Crypto will teach you patience You are right about MAGA, the hype went to TROG another Trump memecoin though I believe MAGA will still go back up and reach new ATH. Meanwhile buy some NOT and leave somewhere, that coin will cook and will get to $1. You'll just be patient. |

E.g, Level 1 officer goes from 30k to 105k which is a 250% increase.
Will a level 8 officer on say 91k also get 250% increase to 318,000? It should now. No be the same economy all of them dey spend? |

We have everything worse here. Fuel is still 780 in most stations. Crate of egg is 3900 here. Fuel depends on where you buy it. Mobil and AP sells at 620, nnpc sells at 575 (Those ones only open maybe once in 2 weeks) while those no name fuel station sells around 670 - 680 |

E.g 2.2m in 2022 is it less or more in value compared to 5.4m today? It's actually lower in $$ value when compared to previous years but exchange rate comes with a bang. |

If the election was a 2 man race between a Notherner v a Southerner, both side has valid point.
There are those who will vote a Southerner over a Nottherner and there are those who detest APC and will rather vote Atiku than to vote for APC/Tinubu.
Both sentiments is valid. |

GrammarNazi1: And perhaps, thanks to Umahi (I think Umahi was still the governor of Ebonyi) who must have "cooked" for the APC, since he was frolicking with APC already. You are right. APC got 60k in Imo and 40k in Ebonyi. |

Dem supposed add more years to Emefiele's prison sentence because of this. How did Heritage Bank remain a commercial bank till 2024?
The Heritage Bank management deserves to be in EFCC net, but how did CBN allowed them to operate until Cardoso wielded the axe? I have no idea. See Polaris too, CBN don sack all their management and appoint new management for them. They may still likely revoke their license in few years because that bank is not healthy. Emefiele did alot of parlor tricks with those banks he salvaged. |

BlueRayDick: U are the only Agbado Man here that saw the future ; U called it first. I no fit ever believe any politician that says he will remove fuel subsidy and he will provide alternative to make life easier for the masses. Fuel is too connected to the country economy that one small increase dey show people shege not to talk of one wey increase the price by over 300% and still rising. The shege has been televised live for all of us. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by larride(m): 11:45am On Jun 05, 2024 |
LordAdam16: It is official. The FG pegs EOY subsidy payments at N5.4T. drive.google.com/file/d/1POFpgrj5Y9n60VKCFQXvF5bc3GRqC4wY To put that in perspective, it was N2T in 2022. And N3.6T in 2023. In naira terms there's been an increase. In $ terms however, there's been a significant crash.
Heineken and Tinubu should commit to a new subsidy regime where payments do not ever exceed $5B and preferably stay below $3B. That should be the ceiling. One way to go about this is to introduce quarterly reviews of the price at the pumps.
They should not let the problem metastasize to the point where another kneejerk "subsidy removal" is floated again. Get Nigerians used to the reality that with fluctuating exchange rate, cost of gasoline on the international market, and double-digit inflation rate; we cannot have a fixed price for an entire calendar year or longer. It is imperative that they increase the gasoline price to between 900-950 after the minimum wage increase.
Gasoline price is critical to the health of the economy. We either manage it carefully or in 4 years payments will balloon to N20T+ and we'll start rummaging for the courage to remove subsidy again. They've mentioned a subsidy sunset plan, but it's light on details. As usual! /s
BTW, Tinubu handicapped his administration with the appointment of Edun and Cardoso. -Lord Cardoso has been brilliant. Na Wale Edun dey drag feet. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by larride(m): 11:39am On Jun 05, 2024 |
In the policy that Wale Edun submitted to Tinubu 2 days ago, we are going to pay 5 trillion in subsidy this year due to exchange rate.
Thoughts Egbon raumdeuter
It becomes obvious day and months after that removing fuel subsidy on the first day of his administration is a fatal error. Combine with the full exchange rate floating and here we are. |

BlueRayDick: One of the unwritten rules of the Nigerian university system is : Never challenge a lecturer openly in a public settings. It is not written in any law book but u must learn it or 4ck around and find out .
No matter how intelligent or brilliant u may think u are or how dumb u think the lecturer’s opinion is or how grand ur opinion is; U just aren’t expected to openly challenge him in the full glare of the public . U can go and argue with lecturer in the privacy of his office , spend hours debating and disagreeing with him.
Nigerian public university lecturers have a very fragile ego and are very unforgiving when their ego is bruised . No matter how intelligent or brilliant u are , u go feel am one way or another When I faced panel in my final year, it was for something I didnt even do. I was sure my HoD was waiting for an excuse in that final year to deal with me because I show the man pepper when I was the President of the student association. Small protest that student did because they wanted to start no school fees no test, I joined the protest in solidarity. I wasn't even in the front or do anything, I was just at one corner observing but because my HoD saw me while trying to maintain peace I was called the mastermind of all the whole thing. Infact before the end of that day, the news has gone round the town and the other 5 campuses that former accounting student President organized protest and wanted to beat the HoD. Our HoD infact told me I will not graduate with my set. We were over 100 that protested, but na me and 5 friends name that they pasted on the school board for exam malpractice and school disturbance. They didnt even know one of my friend name, they wrote his description from head to toe. It was almost a week later they I heard that it was about classmates that we were protesting together that gave them my friends name. The next 3 month we were facing and panel, begging lecturers and my HoD everywhere, prostrating on the road, going to our main campus to defend ourselves from being expelled and the likes. Thankfully all the begging worked and our HoD wrote a letter to the school disciplinary committee exonerating me and my friends. That's what saved us from expulsion. |
