I'm very much aware what retained earnings are. You are deliberately avoiding the main issue of his post. We are spending an amount almost equal to out retained earnings on Debt servicing alone. I.e an amount almost equal to our retained earnings is spent on debt servicing....And we are probably still going to borrow more money.

Funny thing is most of these infrastructures are not visible, the ones that are their prices are inflated. An example is the set of fire fighting trucks Rauf Aregbesola took delivery and commissioned recently, those who looked the prices up online confirmed the quoted prices were seriously inflated by whoever was in charge of purchasing those vehicles. Even the latest models of the fire fighting trucks don't cost as much as dem Aregbe are claiming they got theirs.

As for Apc and Ajimobi issue seems there are currently 2 different acting chairman as we speak sef. Seems the party is heading for implosion as a result if it's internal politics

Baba this Ur first line I think u may be right about the fall in oil price, but that pandemic excuse no follow. The pandemic wàhálà started affecting us at the end of first quarter/beginning of second quarter.

I don't know why u think he does not understand the concept " Reatained Revenue" but I think we should be concerned if our retained earnings is almost the same as our Debt servicing costs. Especially when the loan principal is still on ground and not yet settled at all.

By the way, what do u make of Appeal court's removal of Oshiomole as Apc national chairman and subsequent naming of Ajimobi as acting chairman; even though Ajimobi is rumored to be be currently Indisposed and fighting for us life due to COVID-19?

Bros forget. There are several private companies doing handsomely well without any government backed monopoly. We've seen how telecommunications companies have done really well compared tí what we had with nitel back then. They deliver service, get paid for the service and post good profit for their shareholders.

You see those companies u are willing to mention that were sold by government to private establishments and didn't post profit are mostly those sold to politicians and their friends.

I can bet u Dangote refinery will start production,will be posting profit in the long run and years after Kaduna refinery will be under renovation and still be posting loss by incurring billions of naira in Admin expenses. It makes absolutely no sense pumping money into the refineries when it's not making any money.

Talking about NNPC requiring little tweak to start making profit should not even be happening because even when the tweak is done the organization will still not be making as much profit as it ought to because of how government handles things

When will this be? I think its best they sell off those refineries. Our government has been known to be bad managers of business for years now. I don't even think the optimum profitability of the refinery can ever be realized under any Nigerian government.

I agree with this point of view! When Osho's chairmanship position was threatened by Obaseki, he displayed an unusual level of maturity that ensured the entire state did not go in flames. Obaseki was not smart, Osho has him on an angle now.
Sadly, Nigeria is a concussion of lawlessness, aided, and abated by a corrupt judiciary and people. How on earth is a State assembly functioning without representation from more than half of its elected constituency members? I mean, these guys were excluded despite being voted by people from their constituency.
