Exactly what Afrodoc said. Letting Sancho rot on the bench also doesnt help us and further reduces our leverage. we were the ones that gave him a huge contract. Now he has a year left on his deal. he can just wait it out and be a free agent next season.

So what's the point of sending him on loan and paying his wages so help him get a better club for free? If we are going to chest the loss, then we can as well make him suffer too.

That way other players will get sense.

That is his plan. If he does not get his wish this window, he will wait until next season and negotiate a good salary as a free agent with a possible juicy sign on fee as well. The guy is a criminal.

We have players that are unreliable who are on big contracts. We can't force other clubs to buy them. If the clubs insist on testing first by loaning to see how good they are before buying them, we have little choice.

Everybody knows we are desperate to offload these players, so the leverage is with the potential buying club.

If not that the club has been mismanaged, we could've just allowed someone like Sancho to rot on the bench. I don't see the way up for this team at this point.
