Ask yourself this question, why did INEC halt the announcement of results even when Amaechi backed AAC is coasting to victory?

So why didn’t he interfere in Cross Rivers? Delta? Akwa Ibom or even Imo? Ya’ll just keep using Rivers state election to judge the whole election.

When your preferred candidate wins, it’s free n fair, when the ruling party wins, its rigging. You will be alright.

The military are actually posted to Rivers specifically because of all the violence to secure the election.

Why I don’t want to believe the army spokesperson that said that those guys are armed thugs in Army Uniform what if they are right? Police/Army caught and arrested some thugs posing as SARS officers in Imo state during the election, what if these guys are impersonating the soldiers because they know it will be kind of difficult to differentiate between them.

Rivers is not the only states in Nigeria that military was sent too during the elections, all over the country, why is the case of Rivers different?

Picking sides? I’m not on anyone side on this particular issue. The killings will stop when the youth stop being pawns in their dirty games. A man can’t be giving you guns and machete when he’s meant to provide you with Education, basic amenities of life. Until all these desperado politicians are cut to size, the next best thing is to keep sensitizing the Youth that are used as armed thugs to let them understand that these people don’t care for you, you are just their foot soldier and when you drop like mosquito, they will move to another one.

The question is, what can INEC do to rein in these desperados on both side. Election is not suppose to be war, if the people reject your call to service, then abide with their decision and try again. We need to stop playing politics of bitterness. The scary thing is, from what I’m seeing, our generation might be worse than these old men.

It is absolutely wise from Zidane to accept the job now and this is because Zidane approaches the negotiation table with an upper hand considering his reputation and the current realities of the team, 2 of the most important competitions for the team. Okorocha name has been omitted by INEC among those who are going to be issued certificate of return because the REC of Imo said he declared Okorocha under duress.

Kano Deputy Governor and commissioner for LG was arrested for trying to alter result of Nasarawa LG.

Emmanuel Jime, the candidate of APC in Benue was intercepted by EFCC with bag of cash meant for vote buying.

Rivers is 90% PDP, you cannot even rig it.

The Riverine areas have been peaceful for the past 8 years. We walk around with no fear of robbery, kidnapping etc precisely because our former Warlords like Ateke integrated into mainstream society and became arbiters of Justice.

It is the upland where Wike introduced new Warlords in Don Wanni in Ahoada/Omoku/Emuoha axis where people have been dying like fowl everyday. Don Wanni and Wikes boys turned that place into Zamfara where lives are indiscriminately wasted daily for anyone travelling to Bayelsa/Delta through those areas.

Amaechi should not drive Ateke into the bush and create power vacuum that will lead to immeasurable loss of lives. The common man does not care about PDP/APC brouhaha. We just want to go about our business in peace, and Ateke was a guarantor of that in our area. Amaechi is behaving recklessly and putting lives in danger for his political goals. I don't know how he thinks usurping the people's will will be allowed to pass peacefully. Zamfara will become child's play if Amaechi try to upset the established order.

INEC does not need to postpone anything. Even with all Amaechi did, they should declare result now (which Wike will win clearly) and let us move on with our lives, rather than going into another election cycle where more thugs will be armed, later to turn their guns on the population as armed robbers and kidnappers.

Well I hold no brief for Amaechi here. But come to think of it, isn’t Rivers more safe under Amaechi than under Wike?

They have to retire Bode George first of all. Then they need to go look for someone that has been in the public sector with impeccable record, it’s not really about whether he is popular or not, the PDP is popular enough to make any candidate under the party to be popular. Then they need to start connecting to the grassroots like 2 or 3 years before election year. Sell his ideas to the grassroots. Create momentum and find a cliche slogan. Shouting freedom every 4 years is not going to cut it.

They must find a candidate with impeccable record to rival those APC usually presents. Whether you like it or not, Lagos APC candidates always have impeccable public/private service record. You can’t be bringing a chemist every 4 years to rival that.
