@all please how can i know that an LNB is bad using strong receiver

this depend on that type of strong you are using like srt4650 when the signal stren. within 26-27% n quality is with 15-17% stable it mean ur LNB is ok. for srt4653x above you will notice that the signal stren. is within 70%above and stable this mean that ur lnb is ok but when it not stable it mean the lnb is bad
note you also no when the cable is bad by joinin the cable flex n the single copper n check if your receiver will write lnb if it does it mean the cable ok n the lnb is bad

@victree4 what you will do is to get a strong receiver because this will be easy for you to work with, connect the receiver to the dish then do a signal search with DSTV frequency once you are able to get the signal (@last 76-88%) connect the cable back to the Dstv receiver you are good to go

NOTE if you are using strong you will able to no if your LNB is bad

Which firmware can i use to upgrade 4663x so that after upgrading dongle,rs232 and other can appear on option menu as a share mode feature. I have latest firmware 1.57p for 4663x after upgrade it with this patch it did not bring share mode option.

Is there any firmware that can add option menu to 4663x that have no option menu where rs232 can be found?

you can download the software from the above site note when you download the patch from strong-tech. site you will lose the the ''option'' and 6969 will not work

get the patch @ sat-planet.net note the patch you see will 4661x_4664x it mean from 4661 to 4664 (this is what you will see @ any site hope this help

just use the sat-finder this morning and it was sweet and the lnb and dish was brought from the state. let call a spade a spade, the dish in Nigeria is not compare to that from abroad. the aliment in the dish always give problem why tracking a sat. today i track with easy and with maximum strength 98% in w4 and 93% on mytv this was don in less than 15mins even the man that own the sat. could not bliv is eye. the sat-finder comes along with the dish n lnb i am even begging the to lend me the finder(to practice with it).
