Under 10°C and u are complaining that people are freezing. Are u well at all? We all know water does not freeze till temperature drops to under 4°C and below. U 4get there are places were temperature is -4°C and they are not complaining of freezing. I walk out side with just singlets at 9°C so explain yasef? How can 10°C be so cold?
Well, this is not the worst case of cold I Jos, what I'm saying happened about 8 years ago. If you have people in Jos you re free to confirm. Heard that lots of soldiers posted to Pankshin that year froze to death after bathing with cold water. And you're saying people don't freeze to death when temperature goes south of zero have you forgotten how many people froze to their death in Canada about 4 years ago when they experienced such? They are indigenes and did not bath with cold water o! Now , tell me that someone that bath with cold water at 6° won't freeze to death. When the atmospheric temperature is 7° do you believe that water will be less than that? It happened bro ask anyone in jos

Bro are you serious?
I'm serious o! You know this place is like living inside a freezer, you're cold and the water is super cold. In fact some people will boil the water they want to drink not tea o! Ordinary water or even pure water sef, they'll boil it with the nylon then drink afterwards ... see, you can't understand unless you're here

In my own opinion, cold in Jos is overrated.

The coldest town in Nigeria is called Gembu at Taraba State.

Lobatan.
I've never been to Gembu but I know that there is a plateau in taraba state too, so you can expect it to b cold . My point is that Jos is the coldest CITY in Nigeria , we have other towns that are colder. EG Pankshin

You think Jos is cold? The kinda cold you experience in Jos during the harmattan is what you would experience in Mangu or Pankshin in August, lest of now. Those are the coldest places in Nigeria, and both are also I'm Plateau state, though a little distance from Jos
Correct! that's true my brother . I heard snow/ice falls freely while raining in especially Pankshin. Camped in mangu and it was officially announced that you can wear anything as long as it's under your white. Come see how people dey dress like hunters !

The Jos Plateau is the largest plateau in Nigeria and owing to its elevation, Jos is the coldest city in Nigeria (about the temperature of California, USA) for example, the temperature here now us about 15°C and it has gone south of 10°C at a point in this winter (Yes it is better referred to as winter, this one don pass ordinary harmattan) Because of this cold weather, people usually does some things that would be considered wild by Lagos standards. I present to you below, a few of
them.

1. Boiling water to brush teeth or do dishes:

Some people actually boil the water they wanted to use for brushing Their teeth or do their dishes because ordinary water will be freezing cold and coupled with the freezing breeze is a no no

2. Ladies wearing socks on ANYTHING they wore:

It is not uncommon seeing 'Big girls' wearing socks on office suits and skirts, even after dressing for an owanbe party, socks and gloves were freely worn on the Ankara and lace attires. In short, their is no dressing that's weird here, anything goes
PS: Weird dressing doesn't exclude men too o! I saw a man yesterday that wore a sweater over his shirt before putting on the suit jacket

3. Purposely Staying under the sun:

You'll see people intentionally staying under the sun as soon as it comes out just to feel the warmth of the greatest source of energy.

4. Bathing with boiled water:

I dare say that there is nobody I mean NOBODY in this Jos that has the effrontery to bath with ordinary water as history has it that some people actually froze to their death when they tried it in times past.

5. Putting on electric stove in the bedroom:

because of the unusual cold, some people will put on the electric stove at night just so they can be warm throughout the night.

6. Sleeping with more than two pieces of clothing on:

Its a common thing if people slept dressing like an astronaut, I mean with two trousers, two shirts, one Cardigan, head warmer and hear muffs, Hand gloves and socks all under a cover cloth/duvet! Lil!

If you're staying on the Jos or Taraba plateau please add yours

Lol
Masquerade?
Well i take Jos and some other regions as an exception
Guess its not that cold here in lag
OK! You need to see funny dressing here! girls will put on Ankara skirt and blouse then put on a jacket and muffler on it with their thick socks and gloves handy! some will even use head warmer join! Not on informal occasion o! some dress similarly to their offices! One of my friend don't use all in allawee buy sweater , head warmer , gloves and socks finish! I personally prefer to use my remaining gas to boil water then go to refill it than to use it to Cook food and bath with cold water! So many things here ehn!

Hot water?
Its not good for the body
Don't ask why,was told it makes the bones weak
Come to Jos and try bathing with cold water, you go know say hot water good for bidy. You know, years ago some people actually froze to death simply by bathing with cold water during winter. (For the records, the temperature on Xmas day was 11°C and it has gotten colder since then ) If you see how people dress like masquerade ehn!

So short of words. Marriage is being trivialised on a daily basis.
A man just woke up and decided to marry another woman, when he already has a lovely wife he's been married to for 10yrs, and 3 wonderful kids at home? That man is more confused than a goat staring at its reflection in a river!

It used to be 'for better or worse'. Now it's 'for worse....just find another one'. No wonder the research conducted by Durex incorporation recently found Nigeria as the number one country with the most unfaithful married men/women.

A marriage without Christ is susceptible to marital crises!
Who told you she's a lovely wife? Didn't you read what she typed above? A woman that won't give his husband rest of mind, calling and harassing his boss, what if he lost his job? Is that your definition of a lovely wife? This woman feels like she's a goddess and there is nothing her husband could do without her, that's why she said she never knew he could cope without her during the separation period. Moreso she talked about the patience of his husband, but for a very patient man to take such step, then she must have frustrated his life to the zenith! Meanwhile, have you heard the husband's side of the story? There might be more shocking revelations! There is no way the op will not have euphemised some of her undoings, 'elejo 'o ni ro tie l'ebi laelae'! Now to be sincere what the husband did was wrong, he could have handled it in a more matured way, but some women are just so unreasonable and unyielding!

Business / Re: Angel Investors And Aspiring Entrepreneurs Meet Here. by Larrylarex(m): 9:27pm On Dec 15, 2014
I have a real, clear cut, hundred
percent sure business that has an
ROI of at least 100% in two years,
but its capital intensive, I mean
like 5 million naira will be needed
to set this up but you'll earn more
than 5million naira from it in two
years. What the business is all
about is not something too
secretive, its setting up an ICT
centre of with not less than a
hundred computer, then affiliate it
with a federal government
parastatal, so its the federal
government that will pay you for
renting the ICT centre so to say,
and they pay promptly! The profit
to be made from this business is
DEFINITELY more than what I
described above, but I simply
talked about the worst case
scenario. If you can afford to
invest such amount please contact
me via franclarex008@gmail.com
or 07037118818(Please note that
you're not paying me the money, if you like you can just get your 100 computer
systems yourself, network it{I can
help in this regard} get a standby
generator then contact me for
how to link you with this
government parastatal but we'll
share the profits every year on a
percentage we'll both agree upon)
Another option is that you can
contact me if you already have a
cyber cafe or computer school
with a hundred systems or more
(That will even be better). Another interesting thing
about this is that it requires a one
time set up and the government
will be using it every year and
you'll be earning your millions
every year! Contact me lets to
this!
