There aren't much disadvantages in getting cars from cotonou. I hope you know that most cars sold in nigeria are also brought into nigeria through cotonou, except those that are been pre-ordered or sent down to nigeria directly. Even if you go down to Begger, you would see a yellow sticker with RB ending it. those are duty cars coming in from cotonou. Part of the advice i have for you is (1) If you are buying a dutable car. Which is within the duty year of 10years. If you have the money, pay for the duty. and if you are buying a car that isn't a dutable car. then you are lucky. that would be delivered down to you. Customs disturbs a duty car that duty are not paid for them.

Landing cost of Golf 2 is about 480,000naira down to lagos. The golf 2 would be Auto drive and Factory A/c. Now depends on your features. for the golf 3. you would be about 500k depending on features. cos golf 3 has some with no airbag, some with one airbag and another with 2 airbag. so this depend on your features now.

There is no bulldog 2000 model to my best of understanding. Honda bulldog stops at 95. and academy picked up at 96-97 while babyboy picked to 2002. so if you talking about Honda Accord 2000 model. then you talking about babyboy. Let me be sure of the one you referring to.

i hope your money is not small for the order you have requested. For a 1998/99 babyboy leather, budget less than 1.1m down to doorstep and for the 2000/2001 leather down to doorstep is about 1.4m with custom duty down to doorstep. but meanwhile i have a white babyboy 2000model very clean, auto, bottom alloywheel but no leather, but i must tell you its clean, i don't have the picture on, i would have loaded it up for you to see, but if you are intersted in that, its actually going out for cheap because the dealer has some other shipment coming in and with the high exchange people don't really buy car this much which made the park congested. so if you would be going for that one, without duty down to lagos would cost you 985,000naira down to your residence in Lagos and 1.135million with custom duty. But you would pay me 40,000naira for making you see this car this cheap meanwhile, this is not going to stay on ground for long like those camry and others didn't stay on for long. Its a first come first serve game here.

Prices Nairalanders put down atimes makes me wonder if those cars are stolen or something. 900k would only get you a 96/97 Honda passport. I have some going for sale in cotonou, with landing cost of 800,000naira to Lagos Doorstep delievery. (Full Option). and with duty. landing cost to lagos is about 900,000naira.

With respect to the exchange rate at the moment, I would get you that ride delievered in lagos for anything less than 750,000naira. Down to Lagos. eventually i can't give you fixed price cos of the exchange rate and also luck in the market.

Regarding the 2005 corolla. I would've it in nigeria with custom duty for you with a budget less than 2.8 million naira with custom duty. Mind you prices are not Fixed. they are flexible and the exhcnage is high which makes prices land on the high side.

IT doesn't apply to trucks. you would have to have custom duties done on them. I have one out of so many options i saw at cotonou Butter Colour with 18inches chromes wheel and butter leather interior. It would be going for Landing cost in lagos with All COMPLETE CUSTOM DUTY PAPERS for 2.8Million Naira. if interested contact me. 07083767658. Are you still in need of the GOlf 3? I've one going out for sale now, its clean and lovely, Factory A/c, Alloy Wheel, 2 airbag and fully loaded. Its only been used in nigeria for 2months. its registered but not engrave. It came along with custom duty. So if eventually you are picking it. I must tell you that you are lucky. Its going for 560,000Naira last. and am sure its not going to last long on Ground cos its going for a cheap price. its 1996 Model. Eventually i advertised a camry 96 model and a camry 99 model on here some while back. Its all gone now. So you should know that cars that are cheap don't stay on ground for long.
