Hello brother, I received same mail too. Please when did you apply and have that started reviewing your eligibility?

I've not heard from CIC yet. I submitted my application on the 18th of Nov (Paper Route)

You will hear from them soon. It is well...lets just keep in touch.

I applied to Langley Flying school, Langley, BC and Crosswind Aviation Flying school, London Ontario. Why don't you just go into flying directly instead of doing masters? Flying doesn't require your masters, save the money for your flying. Concerning your first application, remember if you're going for flying you have to prove to the VO that you have enough money. Flying is more expensive than the total of any university or college tuition fee (complete 4 years). So the VO will handle our cases more seriously than any other study permit.

I understand flying is far more expensive. i already have a degree in Computer Science and will like to do Masters before Flying or while doing masters. Am trying to build two career path; an IT and Aviation. Have you heard from CIC yet?

Compliment of the season y'all. Glory be to God for the good news of medicals and Trvs. I wish you guys all the best. As for the rest of us waiting on the Lord for good news, let's take a chill pill, we will all be given visa.
I applied for a one year pilot training study visa on the 18th of November, I want to ask those that have applied for a year PG program and have been granted visa this question, how many years visa will be given to those going for a year course and are we eligible to work as other undergraduate and diploma student?

Hello Buccattee...which flying school are you going in canada...and any info from CIC yet? Am also interested in doing flying. i was recently delayed but will reapply soon. i want to do my Masters first then do flying....Can we talk more on this pls

Thanks

Hello Akanni, and others please i have a quick question.

My passport is set to expire Dec 2015, but i want to reapply for September intake around March...By God's grace will travel around august or September. Now how can i renew my visa and passport incase i want to travel outside Canada? Will i have to come back to Nigeria and renew my passport and visa?

akanni:

Expiry date on visa is dependent on your years of study of program but if passport expires before then, your visa is going to be valid till your passport expires.Note that the visa is just relevant for you traveling in or out of Canada.
When you get to Canada at the border entry, you get your student permit which is valid for the length of your program and this is the one that is most important. You cannot stay beyond that date, hope this helps.

Thanks

From this thread...not sure it will have anything to do with the source of income, its probably because the $22,000 when converted to naira at N160 is about N3.5m + N.900m is seen as insufficient.

Considering, Tuition fee, living expense at $10,000 per year etc....hence the VO saw that as a gap....

My two cents......

Yea i guess u are right tho...the only problem right now is that my program does not have may start and no related cause starting may

Sorry for the delay sir, to my understanding and expr from this thread: u shudnt have added ccna/ccnp cos it indicates you understand a lots in this field....i was also delayed cos i presentd Cisco, CompTia, A+ etc when i first applied: am a computer science graduate and heading to Lamption for information technology professional. TRV at hand now... dont relent bro

Am a quiet follower of this trend...I think you are wrong about certifications (I stand to be corrected tho). Computer Certifications are good proof you know what you are doing, and having a career progression. Its an advantage especially if you are doing a computer related course. So i think you should check while you were refused well.....but am sure its not cause of your certifications. Av seen alot of people on this trend that got their TRV and they added computer certifications.
