Hello, pls everyone I need your advice.
I was denied study visa to Canada from Nigeria based on the following reasons;
- My travel history
- Length of proposed stay in Canada
- Purpose of visit
- My current employment situation
- My personal assets and financial status.
However, I have paid the tuition deposit and I still have over #4M naira in my account as fixed deposit for the past 9 months. All these documents were submitted for verification along with my marriage certificate.
Kindly advise on what step to take next and can a study visa be appeal as some was advising me on filling an appeal.
Your urgent response will be appreciated as I was just denied the visa 4 days ago.
Thank you in advance for your prompt response.
hey bro, for d purpose of visit and length of proposed stay in Canada, u can tackle dat in ur SOP. den add ur land properties or dat of ur sponsors to tackle d financial assets part. As regards d employment situation, is ur current employment in line with d course you are going 4? den u can add ur employment letter, study leave, letter of intro frm ur employer and d likes sha

Please house, how do I fill d background information part in IMM1294. Wat should I tick in d section that asked 'have u ever been refused any kind of visa, admission, or been ordered to leave Canada or any other country?'. Should I tick 'yes' cos my previous application was refused?

More reason why it should be way cheaper, well the scope I used (in lag high court) was that I walked up to d women @d gate leading to d court premises, they offered to take it directly to d notary public cos they already have a deal binding them. U can employ this approach.
where did u do urs..in Lagos shey?

Read my post well. I never said he should write 10 pages of rambling post. I encouraged him to write to his heart's content and then edit. EDITING is the point I was trying to drive home. Once he edits he will remove all irrelevant details. The reason for this being that writing large content will make sure he never misses anything important. If there are a lot of explanations to do about his documents, it is important he takes time to explain them rather than write one page that doesnt explain anything. Don't assume that VOs don't read SOP,in fact tthey do. That is why your application stays with them for more than one month. The key is to be explicit and make your SOP very interesting. Peeps here that wrote pages of SOP are usually successful. I wrote 3 pages of SOP and I'm sure the VO had time to read hence why he/she understood my situation. The problem is that people tend to ramble a lot. Even a one page SOP can be filled with ramblings.
@ lassky PM me for tips on writing a catchy SOP.
pm sent sharply!

Hey guys, its cool to boost ur brothers soa and all but I think we need to put more focus on the root...the scholarship!

Has the 8k dols been paid?...splitted to show the ones for tuition and the ones for accomodation or whatever?

Did u show evidence of the giver of this scholaship?...banks statement? Name of giver/company? How u got the scholarship? And so on.

U can clarify this cos so far u only said u got 8k scholarship, how?
the stuff was given to me by the school bro and I stated that in my sop.
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by lassky(m): 7:56am On Jul 30, 2014
Chatters: @ lassky, it doesn't matter the number of pages you use in your SOP. Explain yourself explicitly. Don't bother writing just one page if it doesn't explain your situation. Write as many pages as possible then start editing and only keep relevant information.
thanks ma'am kiss

In addition to what slimdel said, I think there maybe a problem with the SOA. Did your brother withdraw every money in the account after printing it? This may be the case. Boost those accounts and pls tell your brother to keep the money intact. Work on your SOP and include landed properties. Relax God is in control.
I'm sure he didn't withdraw from the account cos he himself knows the implication.
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 5 by lassky(m): 7:19am On Jul 30, 2014
Slimdel: Good morning, sorry about this and congrats on your scholarship.
If the scholarship of 8000cad does not cover your whole tuition then I'm afraid the statement of account you submitted isn't good plus if your elder brother is married then they believed one kobo from that money isn't for you cause he will feed his family, pay bills, send his children to school etc from the soa plus u again going to Canada (I doubt if its full enough to convince them), please work on the statement of account.
Does he have landed property or shares, please include it.
In general please work on the financial aspect of your application, if I remember any other thing I will add plus others will come and contribute further.

Good luck

.
My tuition is 2,859cad per annum. My bro is single. He has landed properties
