bigmove: hello everyone, so I got London's reply to my mail today saying their records indicate that an incorrect validity date has been input on my worker visa counterfoil and that they suggest two options; 1. to use the present valid visa to Canada and apply for extension (inserted the link) or
2. re-submit my passport to Lagos vfs for a reissuance valid till 2020 (they will not cancel the present visa but will send new passport request letter till i reply the mail with my choice)
Pls advise....
P.S. I have booked my ticket for 2nd week next month though daughter's passport is still not ready for collection but her profile has been update and her validity date is till 2020 Do you have to pay if you were to go the VFS route? If not, then I'd say that's the best option. I think it's better than going through a new application process within Canada though it takes like 5 days. |

Thanks brother! Did you apply via online or paper route? agbasi: Normal docs. Make sure you include a solid LOE. Enumerate your POF in the LOE and attach bank statements and letters from banks and pension managers to support your claim. Include a CV if you work. Include your travel history and very good proof of relationship. Spouse should also write an LOE and letter of invitation and enumerate her own POF. In fact let her include proof of investment in Nigeria or Nigerian banks. Include copies of her initial work or study permit, include Birth certificate of children if you have any. Put a lot of pictures and shoot! I have never been refused visa and I have traveled round the world. Packaging is everything. Your story must be straight and credible. |

Spouse Educational certificates Study permit Provincial drivers license Statement of account LOE- And loads of family pictures. These are the ones I can remember. Many thanks for this! I am in the process of applying for my wife's sowp, but I am a bit scared to apply because her SOA is low; she has about 500k or so. If I may ask, considering the balance in your SOA, did your husband stand as the main sponsor for the application and how were you able to tackle that? |

Is there anyone here that has used 'a convertible bank draft' As a proof of finance in addition to SOA?. I am looking forward to your inputs please. Thank you all yea dre is but it's costly. But it's okay if u can bear d cost. U will ask ur bank to draw a foreign draft for u in favor of urself frm ur dorm account. D draft will cost u like $70 |
