Not necessarily how. There's something about it that doesn't feel right. You see someone everyday and before you know he/she been buried. Sometimes when I rationalise it, I wish I wasn't born. The pain and agony that comes with it is unbearable.

Did you know you will come into existence in the first place?

I fear nothing because the worst possible outcome in life is death. Last last, everyone dies. What again?

I don't think death is something to be scared of,

It should be perceived as a transition.

Romance / Re: Is Depression Real? How Did You Handle Depression? by Lastpharoah33: 7:33pm On Nov 21, 2022
zexy2030:

The solution is simple, just look for more depressed persons than yourself, make them happy. For instance, you need money, u r broke, look for broke people than urself, share whatever little u have at that time. You will see how happy your little can make someone hopeful.

You are on point,

Humans are social beings, they need to interact with each other to attain the best of themselves. Unfortunately, this interaction have been thoroughly abused or should I say, misunderstood in this current dispensation.

Depression1011:
Looking at the comments on front page about the oko poly student that kill himself because of her girlfriend and I discover that an average Nigerian don't know the power of depression, mental health challenges and probably thinks everyone laughing outside is a actually happy inside.
Have been in serious depression and anxiety for a good 10years that make me drop out the university, I walk around hopelessly, I'm in pains everyday, I can't think straight, everything in life is meaningless to me, my own life is meaningless to me at that time that ending it all is the best solution, I can't concentrate, my brain is hijacked.

But whenever I feel like ending it all, I always pity my mother, that woman have tried for me, she have suffer for me In life, she did everything for me, she go through pains I can't pay her back this way and the is just is the only thing that keep me holding on.

But the day I started challenging my emotions I fought in pains with a lot of the determinations.

Depression is not easy u will always try to hold on to something as a source of happiness if u are even strong enough. That girl is probably the only source of happiness Left for him!!!!
Being muscular doesn't mean u cannot have depression
Being rich doesn't means u can't have depression
It doesn't show on face
That lady/guy always laughing.anf feeling confident doesn't mean she/he is Happy inside

Mental health challenges is real!!!!!

At the area of gambling, I will say I have been on off recently. Just like you, I curse myself bitterly when I lose but I can say that I ve reduced frequency at which I stake currently.

I do play it now for the fun of it, not as a business venture where you expect returns/profits either immediately .

There are other aspects of my life where I have taken bold steps towards,

You nailed it, I don't even know how to go about the punting quit of a thing seriously.

I makes me go in and out of depression. Just yesterday night I lost 7k out of my meagre wages paid yesterday. I punt online.

I don't think druggies and womanizers are prone to depression as gamblers, sh!t drains life outta you at each loss.

Their short convo was all in igbo, thinking I was from another tribe cos when I interacted with them earlier I was all queens english.

Omo, this lady was dragging with her fiancee that I was not the person she's owing. On getting to the shop, she took a deeper look and saw that her man was right afterall!

See me nah, all blushing already but I comported myself wella. True true, I cute no be small, with this overgrown curly beards. The tight polo I was wearing did a poor job of concealing my abs.

She quickly dipped her hand in her clutch bag and handed me my balance, smiling sheepishly. In my mind, I told her to behave. If not for anything, for the sake of her future hubby.

It all happened few weeks back, when I was doing my regular routine hustle (I paint stuffs), I began to feel tormented by this rare type of hunger. I angrily picked up my atm card and dashed to the pos kiosk around our site to withdraw few bucks.

The operator is a pretty-face lady that should in her early 30's, she's damn endowed too but that hot afternoon, local man is having none of those ogling and stuff. Take my card and give me 2k biko. When I get myself, we fit run that parole.

After the transaction, I gave her 1k for charges(N100) for her to give me balance. She had no lower denomination for my balance, at time I was furious not her though but at my own foolishness of not wiring both the charges to her in the 1st instance.

All this while, her fiancee (I decode) who was on another plastic chair beside the lady's own decided to intervene in her helpless situation. He kindly pleaded with me to come back after some hrs for the balance while they hold tight to my 1k ( can you imagine grin?).

Well, I obliged later on. We agreed I should come around before the closing time, that's before 6pm. Mind you, all this while i was in my full hustle gear grin grin grin. My ragged clothes, well designed with splashed paints of million colors cheesy!

As it's getting dark, I quickly washed up, changed to my casual outfit and raced toward the POS stand before my money enter voicemail. And true true, they're already packing up. The man was the 1st to spot me coming towards them, he told the lady in igbo language that I am finally here like I said.

When the lady turned to behold me, I can tell she was thrown into a trance cheesy. She blatantly told her fiance that I'm not the one.
Family / Re: Why Do Africans Prefer Suffering Or Putting Themselves In Difficult Situations? by Lastpharoah33: 7:42pm On Nov 05, 2022
stevonics:
This is Africa where the childless suffer at old age due to unavailability of elderly care centers, no enabling infrastructure and other amenities to support the elderly. Where there is no law to protect the childless and aged and they suffer intimidation. There children, mostly the men, becomes their future caregivers and support.
The African system, makes it easy to secure your future through your children rather than the government. While raising your children to adulthood ( at least 18yrs) just assume you are serving a temporary period of punishment.

You made a solid point here, comrade!

Crime / Nigerian Man Swallows Seven Packets Of Cocaine During Drug Sting In Thailand. by Lastpharoah33: 8:53pm On Oct 31, 2022
A 38-year-old Nigerian man identified as Chidozie W.E reportedly swallowed cocaine during a drug sting conducted by the drug enforcement police and met police in Thailand.

The high drama unfolded at the weekend in Sukhumvit Soi 11, downtown Bangkok, when the officers were acting on a tip-off that the Nigerian man was dealing in cocaine.

Earlier, they had arrested a 29-year-old lady identified as Catherine, who was in possession of the Class 2 drug. She said she got it from a black man.

A sting was set up and the Nigerian arrived in a Toyota Corolla Altis.

He parked and called Catherine to enter the car to receive the drugs contained in several packages

But as police advanced, the suspect was seen preparing to flee and stuffing something in his mouth.

He was arrested and no drugs were found but an X-ray at the Police Hospital revealed seven plastic packages in his stomach.

These passed through his system and were found to contain 15.33 grams of cocaine.

The suspect has been detained on a charge of dealing in a Class 2 narcotic (cocaine).

Hmm interesting thread
I had access to the corridors of power as a LG deputy speaker between 2007 and 2010.
I have shook hands with the governor, met many people that matters in politics.
My greatest mistake is not taking advantage of the privilege then.
I contested house of assembly primary election under PDP and lost. I was promised a slot in the incoming govt. if I remain in the party but I refused.
I spent millions and bought ACN ticket (the candidate stepped down for me).
Spent the little savings I made from my tenure and borrowed heavily to finance the election in 2011 with assurance from my god father backing me up (who died before the election)
Unfortunately, I lost the election and sold all my landed Properties to pay off my debts.
My political god father's death cut short my political journey seriously
Those days as an incumbent in a major oil producing local government, the money was flowing. To cut the long story short, I ended up with 7 official baby Mama's now but no wife. I didn't toast any of them for one day, they simply made themselves available.
The story too long abeg

Haaa shocked

I can understand the utter disappointment on your ward. Naivety and a little touch of youthful ebullience got the better of her.

Someone mentioned lack of supervision, you saying dude should put a tracker on the girl?
Or maybe have her be on leash to be dragged along, huh?

Life happened to her, if what you wrote up there is what really transpired (as regards to your benevolence towards your ward), I really think taking her back to her mom is a good step.

But am totally against going ballistic on the nig that did put her in the family way. It's a choice thing. Either he embraces with full chest or bounce. Nature/karma will always take it's cause.
